Just confirmed they will do u/s at my appointment tomorrow, excited to see the little one. @thatgolfbitch, now you've got me all paranoid about twins in my ute!

The book I read to DD last night was about twin girls...and a possibly possessed dummy named Slappy, but the twin thing freaked me out for a minute.

Everything looks good! I'm measuring 5w 3d rather than 6w, which is what I thought I was based on LMP. I'm just a late ovulator, I guess.

Speaking of ovulation, after scanning my ovaries the tech said I ovulated from both sides and she was surprised she didn't see twins😐😓😰

U/s went well! Little one is measuring exactly on schedule, 6 weeks 1 day. Saw the heartbeat which was fun.

Yay great news! Just out of curiosity, did they do a vaginal ultrasound or a regular one? I have my first appointment scheduled for 7weeks, and I'm wondering what to expect at that gestational age. With my son, I didn't have an ultrasound until 13weeks.

As soon as the doctor left after the u/s, my H looks at the transvaginal wand and goes "that will always remind me of the Daily Show"

And then we both laughed inappropriately. for those who havent seen it and like Jon Stewart, the joke is at 7:30

So when I went to see my OB a few months ago (obviously before I was pregnant), she was doing all the routine questions and when she said "are you sexually active?" I said no.  She sort of looked at me and I said "well, I've been with my husband for like ten years." Another blank stare.

My addled brain was interpreting "sexually active" as "sleeping with more than one person".  It took me like 20 seconds before I said "Oh no..I mean, yes. I have sex with my husband".

When you've dealt with infertility and a left ovary that likes to hide they are less than pleasant. It's like their digging for gold lol.

Had my first appointment and first ultrasound today! Everything went well - little blob measuring 6w6d and little heartbeat looking good. I go back in 4 weeks for Harmony testing and blood work (and doppler....and probably another ultrasound)
