Can I get some more thoughts for possible blog names? I'm thinking I don't want to have NICU in the title after all. I like Diary of a Tigress of Diary of a Tigress Mom. I'd love to hear thoughts. I would love it is somehow I can earn money of this blog at one point so I'm thinking long term.

I almost got oatmeal but something was stuck in my head about rice being easier to digest. If she tolerates this well I'll probably switch to oatmeal very soon.

The last two times I've gotten them I have been less than impressed, but this time the stylist nailed it. Except the jeans with the hole in the knee. If they didn't have a hole in them I'd keep everything.

I would buy cheaper stuff than sf if you're doing well losing weight. Weight for sf when you plateau.

penguin I wouldn't worry too much about titles, just start writing and publishing. There are so so many blogs out there. So if it gets really going, you can always change the name later. Typically the people who get paid to blog wind up finding a niche and then they hire people to make it really professional. Pro pics, pro webpage design, etc...
I would just get started and not get hung up on details. It's the content that really matters.

Yeah, I talked myself out of most of it. Jeans especially... I'll wait to splurge on those later. And shirts, so basically everything. Guess I should take a trip to old Navy...

Lately I've been focusing on versatile pieces that can work for a while with weight loss or gain. Nothing fitted.

Gerber has brown rice too. I'm sure it's more easy to digest than the white. More fiber

I survived my incredibly long day with all 3 kids. The baby took a random 3 hour nap - maybe something related to her 4 month shots from yesterday? We ended up doing the haircuts and Target and picked up dinner as well. DH got home an hour and a half earlier than I anticipated so I all but ran out the door when he got home. He asked me to pick him up dinner and he definitely didn't need to ask me twice.

The day wasn't as bad as I worried it may be. DS1 was pretty good, the baby was pretty chill...DS2, well, he is something else. He decided to chomp his t-rex's mouth down on my broken toe while I was burping DD and then later shit himself (he is potty trained). I seriously don't know what to do with him sometimes.

penguin129 maybe go ahead and start writing blog entries and just save them to your computer for now - then once you feel like you have the name and everything ready, you can have those entries to kind of start it off and it might also ease the stress of it.

So for those who have been following the saga that is DS's sleep. I reached a breaking point last night. I CANNOT spend one more night on the floor. I locked him in his room....it has now been 2 hours of him wailing. I keep checking the monitor and he rotates from the door, to the floor to his bed. I feel awful, but NOTHING else we have tried has worked. I did this for his naps and he naps fine now...so fingers crossed? I feel like a shit mom, but something's gotta give. Another night on the floor and it might be my back.

Ugh @snuff9861 while ours isn't quite that bad we do have nights like that every once in a while where V screams for 30-45 minutes before finally going to sleep. I've learned that going in just makes it worse and she will come up with every excuse she can think of to not have to go to bed and will get more and more upset that I don't buy her excuses. Hopefully this will be the worst night and it will get better soon!

I'm feeding C at 1030 at night which is BS. She went to bed at 715. She is fully capable of sleeping until midnight at the earliest and 2/3 am on a good night. However H and I both tried the paci a few times with no success and I haven't decided to bite the bullet with CIO yet. I will say there is nothing quite like watching your baby reach up and pull the damn paci out of her mouth before dropping it on the mattress next to her and then beginning to cry again. Little jerk. So frustrating.

vavavictoria maybe teeth? I couldnt do CIO with an infant, but with the 2.5 year old? Yea better believe it. DD always pulls her paci out, and now she has discovered that if she runs it across the rails of her crib it makes a delightful sound (note my sarcasm).

I think DS passed out, so I'm going to crack his door (assuming he hasnt passed out in front of it) and go to sleep in my own bed.

@snuff9861 sorry about the rough night. Hugs. DS1 has almost always slept well, but he went through a phase around 2 yo where he would wake up MOTN and not want to go back to bed. We ended up having to lock him in a room and for almost a week straight I say outside his bedroom door at 3AM silently crying while he wailed and pounded on the door and carried on. It will pass.
penguin129 everyone else has covered what I was going to say. I really like the idea of getting started writing and saving it to your computer if you really feel like you can publish it until your set on the title.

I had a great time with my sister yesterday and a very successful shopping trip. I feel so much better about starting my new job, this next week is going to drag by.

We don't have plans today. H is going to do some work on our master bath, so wrangling the boys is going to be my job. It's still cold, but supposed to be sunny at least, so hopefully I can send DS1 outside to burn off some energy.

Our sleep is total shit still. I'm also not quite ready for sleep training, especially since I need to break the arms swaddled habit first before I'm comfortable doing it.

We've had a lot of trouble with our toddler and sleep too @snuff9861 so I feel your pain. It seems to go in waves with her.

ETA: Last night I nursed her earlier, had DH get her to sleep in her crib, and she still woke up every 45 minutes, even when he did the wakeups. We tried belly sleeping too.

I have already had an extremely productive morning. Both girls are bathed and the all the tile floors are mopped. I did a load of wash, emptied, and loaded the dishwasher. I'm eating breakfast now. I am going to clean the bathroom after. I was doing the huge job of mopping the tile Monday mornings but hate that I wasn't able to ease into Monday. I think this is going to work out much better.

So he stayed asleep in his room until 430. Then he came into our room (rookie mistake, I cracked his door when I went to bed). After that he'd wake up ever 45 minutes. I need all the coffee.

Also on the shit-sleep boat. DS was up ever 3 hours last night, but at 2am decided he didn't want to go back to sleep so talked and fussed (no crying) to himself for two hours. Once I'm asleep, I wake to nothing generally, but can't sleep with active noise. So I was awake til 4am and he was up again at 5. vavavictoria I also know DS can sleep without needing food but nothing else calms him enough to get him back to bed.

Also recovering from yesterday evening. My ovulation cramps set in again and I was pretty much useless, curled up with a heat pad.

You are not a shit mom.  Sleep is incredibly important for kids.  Fostering healthy sleep habits is so important.  You are not a shit mom.  You sleeping on the floor in his room is not an okay solution to anything.  

Absolutely. Your child's sleep AND your sleep are both important.

Both girls woke up at 7 so we have already been grocery shopping. I hate going on Sunday. I needed wine for a recipe and in Texas you can't buy alcohol until after noon on Sunday. Argh. Now I will have to go shopping for one thing.

DH is in a mood again and I have no idea what's set him off this time. His mom leaves in like an hour and we have a friend coming over for dinner tonight. He is so obviously PO'd about something and all he says is, don't talk to me and leave me alone. HUGE eyeroll. You're 30. Srsly. If you are in a bad mood, don't insist on playing with the baby while looking like you wished you were anywhere else and hate your life. Give me the kid and go hide in your computer room or something.

@holachica I've had good luck with the Magic Merlin suit. She can't roll in it although she can roll very well if she isn't wearing it. If I don't have her wear it she rolls all around her crib and doesn't sleep.

@snuff9861 that's rough. Any form of sleep training sucks. Hopefully it will happen quickly! I'm not looking forward to transitioning my toddler out of crib
