Take your prenatals at night, right before bed!!! So much easier on your stomach!
Sadly I have the SmartyPants gummies, which is 6 gummies for a daily dose. I split them up into 2 doses so I don't have to choke down 6 at once.
These are what I take too. Do you take an iron supplement with them since they don't have iron? I just realized this the other day and plan to ask my OB but I'm not going to bother with it before my appt in 2 wks.

starmile I take the VitaFusion gummies, they also don't have iron, so I asked my OB at my first visit. She said I didn't need to worry about taking an Iron supplement. That's just me though, your OB might have a different opinion, so I'd still check just to make sure.
I've been taking the garden of life whole food prenatals. It is 3 huge horse pills but thankfully! They haven't made me sick yet. I've been scared a couple times though. I have been feeling progressively more unsettled in my stomach the past few days. I'm not a fan. This is something new for me. I don't do stomach troubles well. I ended up just going back to bed yesterday because I felt so ill. Ds played on my bed climbing all over the place and I dozed.
I wonder if the vitamins are aiding in the constipation. I was already struggling prepregnancy. But now it is worse. It's frustrating because I am trying to be careful careful about weight gain this pregnancy. But if you are constipated, even if you don't hardly eat, the weight still goes up because nothing ever leaves
Sorry for the Debbie downer post. I'm just feeling a little discouraged this morning. I stepped on the scale and it was not what I was hoping to see. And that is frustrating. I don't want to be gaining weight. I gained 40 pounds with ds. At the end some of that was pree water retention. But still. That's not a healthy number for me. I'm already overweight. I don't want to be gaining weight. Especially at this stage when there is no reason. A baby the size of a blueberry doesn't equal weight gain.

i ended up boarder line anemic with ds. So I decided to make sure my vitamins had the iron.

I am not talking an iron supplement and have no plans to unless my doc tells me I'm anemic. I already had my intake and bloodwork appt with the OB so I'd assume they would have called by now.

+1 on taking gummy vitamins with no iron unless the midwife says I need iron. I did it with my last pregnancy without issues, so hopefully this one works out the same.

I was up all night with heartburn. I need to find what I can take. Never had this problem so early with other two kiddos. I even ate two stale crackers to help and no bueno. This day can be over with now.
I've also heard from the Pregnancy board that many ladies take Rainbow Lite prenatals (and several also take gummies), so perhaps that's a choice for people? I think the RLs are pretty spendy, though.
Rama I took Rainbow Light One (as in you only have to take 1 pill) for like 4 years straight 😄 with all my horrible MS it never upset my stomach and I took it during the day. It used to be really cheap, I used to get a 150 count bottle for $25. I see the price on Amazon has gone up to $42, but that's a 5 month supply so still pretty cheap compared to other vitamins. Last year my doctor switched me to this brand, which I grudgingly obliged but damn it's $40 for a 2 month supply! Pure Encapsulations - PreNatal Nutrients - Hypoallergenic Nutritional Support for Pr... www.amazon.com/dp/B00CFBB46Q/
Just over here waiting impatiently for the next Harry Potter ebook to be available via the library.... also, I thought sour punch straws were a good idea, but I was so wrong. 🤢
Have you read them before? I binged them last year for the first time and loved them. So far I've only seen the first movie, but my cousin loaned me all of them. I need to get on that.
No, this is my first time reading them! I am hooked! 😊
ssm, I could have written the last two paragraphs of your post. I also gained 40 lbs with DS (some of it pre-e water retention) and am struggling with the constipation this time too. I got a list from my OB that has safe things to try to help move things along. I'm going to find it and can PM to you if you want it.
So, H and I go to movies often. We always go to Regal because #reclineyseats and they had this reward program thing. Well, I never was able to use the rewards. Every so often, they'd notify me of a free something but I think I've gotten like 2 things in the 3 years I've had it?
Anyway, today we were booking our tickets for Logan, and I saw they updated their app. I now have access to how many points I have and an easy way to redeem them. For context, a free medium popcorn is 9k and a free movie ticket is 15k.

Guys, I'm barely doing any cooking right now. Coach T is doing most of it, and 100% of the meat cooking. Bless him. Today there is a chili cook-off on my floor at work. The guy in the cube next to me has a crock pot going in his cube. I simultaneously want to puke from the smell and scarf down a bowl of chili.
starmile , I have to do Lovenox injections for a month postpartum. MFM had me take a baby aspirin daily at some point last pregnancy. Maybe during third tri? I can't remember exactly when I started it. I have Factor V Leiden but no clot history.
Oof, just had my first wave of nausea. Two of the many advantages of working remotely: No smelling coworkers' lunches, and no judgment if I want to eat tomato soup at 9am.

My OB always said take whatever you can stomach in first tri and that gummies with no iron were totally fine. She did say she preferred a vitamin with iron in second tri (or maybe it was third? I don't really remember...). In either case if all you can handle is a gummie with no iron right now then you should be fine, at least until your appointment!

Cythe, My husband loves going to the movies but I am more of a stay home and binge on a TV show kind of gal. I agreed to rent a movie with him this weekend. Any recs of movies that may be on demand now?

Today's my day off, went to the dentist and found out I have two small cavities that can't be filled until I'm not pregnant. Went to the mall, got some Taco Bell and walked around a bit since it's so cold and windy here. Went grocery shopping, I'm officially at the meat aversion stage, I was at the butcher counter and the guy was so chatty, I almost started dry heaving. Every other day I feel like I have no pregnancy symptoms and then things like that happen. Just ate a bunch of cookies and but some spring training baseball on tv which will probably lead to a nap.

Minus the dry heaving, this sounds like a lovely day! Also, I'm jealous of your Taco Bell!
mrstommyshelby, yup - just put an @ in front of their username. Some people have different usernames than display names though, so you have to keep an eye out for that. Like NariaDreaming is @ admin.
augustblooms I'm excited to try to make all the lemony treats! I especially want to try and find a good lemon bar recipe. They are one of my favorites!
