Welp, she's got norovirus. Boo. Looks like well be dealing with this for a bit. Poor thing is a poop machine today. No more puking though so hopefully that doesn't come back. Shes eating well and in good spirits otherwise.

Oh poor thing. I hope she's better soon and goodness I hope you don't catch it!

Oh no! I hope she feels better soon and that the rest if you stay healthy.

Oh no! Norovirus is super contagious so make sure you wash your hands really well, especially after changing diapers and before eating!
M keeps rubbing his left ear. Could that be related to teething (he has 2 teeth that just broke through) or should I get him evaluated for an ear infection?

Depends. It could be teeth or ear infection. Usually I've found with my kids that an ear infection occurs with a cold or a fever. So in the absence of those than I attribute it to teeth. I regularly wish I had the ear checker and skills to know what I was looking for haha.

Typically my husband is pretty great. I mean, I do most of everything because he's always working on the house. I also handle all of the middle of the night wake ups and feedings because I'm a light sleeper. I also do all the morning stuff on my own because he leaves super early. But normally he'll help out in the evenings or at least not be an asshole
I have no idea what his problem is this week. Yesterday he was a jerk to me and B but then was sweet this morning on the phone. Today he comes home and I was almost done cooking, chicken saltimbocca (ps it was so good!). We ate and he ran out to get SD from soccer. He came home and went right to the couch. Left baby in the kitchen with me and didn't even try to help with dishes/putting the food away. Nothing. He also knew the baby needed a bath tonight, nope. He is just chillin on the couch. I then told him that he was welcome to help. Nope. Still lounging on the couch. Then I told him how selfish and rude he was being and it must be nice to be able to just relax. And that maybe if he helped out we'd both be able to relax and then I wouldn't be so bitchy all the time. He said I should've asked him for help. Ummmm no. These aren't MY kids, they're ours. Not MY dinner, he ate too. Not MY dishes. It's not just MY responsibility.
I'm upstairs feeding the baby and he is STILL just sitting on the couch.
steph Men are beyond annoying at times! I'd let him know you need his help. Spell out exactly what you need nightly. I find that's the only way that we don't end up pissed at each other.

I don't know what's wrong with him lately but he's just so selfish. Considering I do ALLLLL of the day to day stuff, you think he'd want to help out where he could.
I never just get to sit down and relax. I still need to get B ready for and in bed, make her lunch, wash and prep all the bottles, pump, bag milk, and wash all that stuff, clean up the living room. But I'm so mad that I'm just sitting up here rocking the sweet sleeping baby. And now I'll be up even later doing everything. 😭
Maybe I'll schedule myself a massage this weekend. He always seems to find time to do whatever he needs to do as though he has 0 kids, but if I want to do something I feel like I've gotta ask him to babysit.
steph I always have to do the bottles and daycare bags. So even though DH is super helpful he gets to sit and relax sooner than I do. And yes you deserve a massage? How have your headaches been?
steph, You have so much patience, I admire you. I would not be so gracious.
Not that I expect to have a problem with MrRama helping out, but if he pulled those stunts, I'd park my own ass on the couch and when the kids started screaming, just pretend I didn't hear them. When he asks why I'm ignoring them, I'll say that I filled my quota on childcare for the day, so I'm off-duty. And if he pulls out the "bad mom" card, I'll be so ready to whip out the "shitty dad" retort.
But I might be petty. When logic and pleading don't work on MrRama, I tend to just get really, really pissy. Eventually things work out in his head. Usually. And, either way, it at least starts a discussion. That always makes things better.

steph omg same here. I do 80% of the baby care, along with things like laundry and cooking. Sunday is his only day off from work so he usually spends it at the shooting range or fishing. I'm like WTF dude... I don't get a day to myself. I don't get an hour to myself. Ever. He literally doesn't understand that. I gave him attitude about it yesterday and he was like well you can tell me not to go. I'm like I realize that but I don't want to be the nagging bitch, I'd rather you chose to stay home with us without being told... You know?!

steph...sorry this is happening. It happens with us often. He's super helpful if I ask, but doesn't do a ton of offering. I made washing bottles officially his job because I was so done with doing everything.

Thanks for the support everyone. I don't know what I'd do without you guys.
meagpt22 the headaches have been constant. Just a constant background headache. The full on migraines haven't been hitting me too often so I can't complain too much. I miss my preventative quite a bit though.
Rama I went downstairs after snuggling the baby for a bit, bagged milk/pumped, and went back upstairs. Guess he knew that I was done and he put B to bed. I used a charcoal mask that I've had a sample of for 3 weeks now and took a long shower. It was pretty nice.
spicysalmonroll yesssss. Choose to stay home with us. Choose to help out when you know I'm flat out exhausted. Doooo the right thing. They just don't get it.
remylove1011, that's a good idea. I'll figure out something to make his official job. I'm tired of doing it all while he hangs out. I wanna relax too dammit
I'm sorry, steph. We have some of that going on here, too. But we both acknowledge it even if we can't come up with a solution for it yet.
Like, I get the baby up, dressed, and fed every morning. I play with her until she gets tired again. I get her to fall asleep, put her in the swing, and then get myself dressed and fed. What is my husband doing? Ah, sleeping or getting ready. I hand him a clean, fed, and dry baby along with a packed daycare bag and stroller. Once he leaves, I go to work. Then he works as late as he wants while I rush out at 5pm and get the baby home, fed, bathed and in bed. I feel like I have to ask permission to work late or I feel guilty because his job is "more important" than mine.
It's wrong. We both know it's wrong. And yet, we keep doing it. We need to work out a better way.
joy I know what you mean with his job being "more important". I make more money than my DH, but because I work from home I don't think it processes to him (or a lot of my friends/family) that I'm still working all day. He leaves by 6:15 and then constantly gets stuck at work and since I'm home, i have to drop everything and grab the kids. I take them to all the appts. Or if they're sick, they're home with me. I run all the errands that can only be done during work hours. It's not that I mind, I just want him to help me when he can.
I ended up just going to bed after my shower last night. I figured I'd clean up and make B's lunch this morning.
I came downstairs and the living room was clean, her lunch was made, and he left "I love you!!!" written on a post it note on my computer. I guess it clicked.
But will it stay "clicked"? Probably not. I'll enjoy it while I can though.
remylove1011 how's kiddo feeling this morning? She was awfully cute even when she wasn't feeling well.
She's doing ok. So many poopy diapers though and she's starting to get a diaperv rash so I'm trying to deal with that room I think she'll be out of daycare for the week. But she's still get happy self and eating well, so that's good.

Poor thing! Maybe some diaper free time on a puppy pad for a few min?
The babies let us sleep until 7:40 this morning! I feel like a new woman!
Is sleep getting better? I know you had a rough couple of weeks/months. Or do you not talk about it in fear of jinxing it (I live in constant fear of jinxing it haha).
