One of my cats is positive the nursery is for him. He sleeps in the glider, climbs on the dresser, lays in the crib! He is in for a rude awakening soon!
Yep. I am constantly fighting to keep our cats from the crib. I figure that I'll keep saying no and then as we get closer I'll put aluminum foil and/or balloons in there.

With our first we ended up putting a screen door on the nursery to keep the animals out. You can get them for like $20 at lowes/Home Depot and their easy to install.

Good morning, ladies. I discovered last night that we have completely lost/probably accidentally threw away the infant insert for DD's old infant car seat. I'm so mad at myself. They don't sell replacements online but I'm going to call probably tomorrow to see if they have them at all. Otherwise we'll need to buy a whole new seat because of that dinky piece.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. The scan went really well. Little man is actually measuring almost 2 weeks ahead on all his measurements and is about 6 pounds.
Took DH to the airport this morning. He's flying to Palm Springs for some conference he goes to every year. Definitely stopped for coffee on the way home. It's super windy outside so no walk for us today. I don't even want to drive anywhere, the downside of having a big ass truck lol.
We put our objections in on the house. The owner is fixing the 2 major issues we were mostly concerned about, and neither had to do with the deck. Seems like we're going through with the purchase! I'm super excited so be able to nest in our own home. DD will finally have a proper room with decorated walls, and the new baby will have a room to move in to when the time comes. Ahh the little things in life.

Oh crap! Thanks for the reminder that I have to find ours. I found the car seat, but didn't even think about the insert.
Glad you are still going to take the house raven. Will you tear down the deck?
No. We'll just have it fixed at a later date. Our inspector said it's pretty sturdy, it just needs updating to today's standard where it attaches to the house.
I'm excited for a growth scan on Thursday. I want to know how big M is!
Just remember that they can be off by at least +/- a pound.
I'm just curious as to where she is measuring. She has always been long but H and I are both tall. I'd love to see her taller than me when she grows up (5'10'')

@osw gotcha! I just see a ridiculous amount of FTM get freaked out when they're told the weight of their unborn babies. We were talking about it in my birthing class and there's actually a correlation with c-section rates and how much the mom is told baby weighs. So I just like to remind people that ultrasounds aren't always that accurate.
We had so many growth scans with DS1 because of his size. Like DH is 6'4-6'5 and I'm 6' and a bit. Both of us have big frames naturally. No way in Hades we'd have a tiny baby. The doctors kept testing for GD because he was always in the high 90%. The final growth scan said he'd be over 11lbs. He ended up 9lbs7 and 21.25in long.
Funnily enough DS2 is measuring so much smaller than his brother. He's only measuring 4lbs and bit at 32 weeks. If he comes out massive I'll laugh.

We were told DS1 would be 6-7lbs. My 8lbs 6oz baby would said they were wrong...
This one is consistently in the 40%tile but I'm expecting him to be another 8 pounder at term. They pack on a lot of weight the last month. I think I read it could be up to 0.5lb per week 😳

I've never been told in either pregnancy how much they anticipate baby will weigh and I don't think I want to know. DD was 7lbs15oz so nothing crazy. DH and all 3 of his siblings were over 9 lbs and that would freak me out and cause me to lose my focus in labor.
I'm going into this assuming this is a little 6 pounder and I'll have no problem pushing him or her out.

ETA: total jelly of your amazon woman tallness
My MW told me I could deliver a giant baby so I'm not worried about her size. I was 6lb7oz at 39w so I'm hoping for the same weight lol.

In a book I just finished reading about childbirth, one of the mantras the author suggested that really stuck with me was "I'm going to get huge," referring to the business downstairs. It really does grow and stretch a lot so I hope reminding myself of that will help me not be so afraid, regardless of baby's size.
