Nothing makes me dislike a person faster than finding out they went to USC.
USC and Brown have the worst grads. I dated a guy who did his undergrad at Brown and his (masters? I'm not a good listener) at 'SC and he might actually be the worst person on the planet.
It was close to 60 degrees today in Boston. The rest of the week will feel like winter. You think they let my child run around in the sunlight? Of course not! Ugh! I need daycare so bad
Was on the brink of a "I can't do this...I've chosen the wrong career...I don't get paid enough for this shit" meltdown after a really ridiculous afternoon, but talked to my sister who had a shitty day too and it hit my reset button and I think I'll be okay.
Also, have gluten-free* brownies in oven, J in bed, and a box of wine in fridge. So that helps too.
*I'm trying to go gluten-free for a little while to see if helps with my knee flaring up bc it seems to be an autoimmune thing and not an injury thing. May need to start a thread on this to get some advice from our J15 gluten experts bc I'm not exactly great at this whole thing.
Nick was so super snuggly tonight. He's usually pretty lovey with me but tonight was more than usual. Before bed as I was holding him he insisted on combing my hair, then giving me a hug, then a kiss, then more combing, hugs, kisses, over and over. He was giggling and deliriously exhausted and adorable the whole time.
@traceyos I used to strip my barbies naked, rip their heads off, and hang them upside down by their feet off my Barbie dream house......and I turned out.....ok?
My voice is pretty much gone which makes teaching nearly impossible. One of my coworkers basically disappeared (not really, snapchat shows she's at home), but no one knows what's going on. She left no sub notes which is very unlike her. She also hasn't answered my text I sent two hours ago, again unlike her. Some of her kids said she pushed a kid and is getting fired. Who knows.
DS1 is pooping his dang pants and I'm at my wits end. I don't know what to do. Anyone have advice? Just turned 4 on March 1, been working on this since 2.5-ish basically. He'll go weeks with no accidents, then all of a sudden he'll go a couple of weeks with poop accidents almost daily. One day last week, he had 4 in one day. All I get from him is that he's cold when he poops. I also think part of it is also not wanting to stop playing. We've done sticker charts, bribes for each day of accident free, I've talked about his brother needing to learn soon and he can't learn if DS1 can't go in the potty. Ugh.

I hope he never gets married and leaves me.
I used to find this video hilarious. On further review, it is problematic for a lot of reasons. But the gist remains: no one is ever going to love my son the way I do. And so I'm never letting him leave me. He can get an online degree and live in our basement or attic forever. As long as I keep getting hugs and kisses. And yeah, I'm going to be a stereotypical big psycho boy mom.

mnj05- daycare or home? Just leave pants off for a week? I cleaned poo out of undies for 9 mo daily and it sucks. I'm sorry you are there. I found rewards didn't help my guy- it was all internal. I'm no help just commiserating I guess!

Haircuts today- bigs always just get a trim and say nothing about it. Today ds1 decides he wants a buzz cut so ds2 does too. I couldn't pick them out of a group of neighbor kids tonight! I miss the curls and floppy hair! But am proud they are growing up and making their own identities (well not ds2 who just followed along....)
Also after a bad no paci day, O went down no fuss without one! I had to change my lock screen because he had a paci in the picture and he kept grabbing my phone whining -"passsss"

Daycare. At home we generally strip him down or he just does well. I'm wondering if it's the open toilets, no stalls thing. I *think* his actual classroom has a bathroom similar to a house, but the main building does not and that's where they are at the end of the day. I believe most of his accidents are at the end.
ncjulia12 I think you need a vacation. And by that I mean you should fly up again. I hope the rest of your week is better.
J15 East Coast Meet Up is totally an annual thing, right? I'm going to go ahead and put it down for 2018. I vote for warmer weather so we don't wimp out and go full out bars/dancing. I am still totally mad at my stomach for being upset that weekend and preventing me from eating/drinking full force. We can try to plan around as many pregnancies as possible, or have lots of DDs for all the drunko J15s. : )
ncjulia12, what do you need to know for gluten free? DD1 is totally GF - the rest of us are more like 90%.
What do you generally do for breakfast and packed lunches?
I'm not rach but eggs, sausage, gf muffins/pancakes (batch cook then freeze) are all breakfast foods we keep in rotation. Also eggs muffin things are handy to have in the freezer.
Lunches are supper leftovers. Protein + veggies, usually. Dairy is a gray area for many.
Lunch- to school, she usually packs a sandwich made with Udi's bread, a yogurt, a piece of fruit, and chips. Snack is a Luna Bar or a Larabar.
At home- she will have the same, leftovers from dinner, tortilla roll-ups, quesadillas
We always keep corn tortillas and Udi's bread around. We sub pasta for dinner once a week and she does GF pizza on Friday nights. Otherwise, we just basically leave out wheat for dinner and it's NBD.

Does anyone know anything about birth certificates? We got C's in the mail and the time of birth is wrong. Should I submit a correction for that, or is that piece of information no big deal?

I'm sure it doesn't matter, but I'd probably correct it just for the sake of historical accuracy. In other words, it would bother me forever if I didn't.
ncjulia12 dinners are mostly easy I think. Protein, veggies and a non-wheat starch (potatoes, rice). Lunches are my hardest meal, but also were before (trying and mostly failing) to go gf. I work from home, so lack of planning kills me, but my go to most days is Van's MultiGrain crackers and cheese. A friend suggested salads with protein but that's way more work than I want to do when I'm hungry. And for breakfast, I'm obsessed with Garden Lites muffins. I eat 2 every morning for breakfast. I buy them at Costco because they're expensive at the grocery store.

My grandma's NAME was wrong on her birth certificate and she never fixed it!

Both DH and his sister's birth days are completely incorrect because my FIL has terrible handwriting. They have never corrected it in 42 years and DH has to use the wrong DOB on all our tax forms.

This happened to my H's grandfather. He has a long Italian name and they left out an e in his so his name is spelled differently from his brothers. I was so confused doing wedding invites until they told me! I thought his mom was misspelling names!
