My kiddos were up early this morning which worked out well since I needed to be at work a little early since I have a meeting first thing. If I get out the door 20 minutes early I can beat traffic which makes me almost 45 minutes early than normal. It's nice. Not much else going on here. Temps are supposed to be nice this weekend but we are supposed to have some rain. I was thinking of taking the kids to the drive in tomorrow to see Beauty and the Beast since DH will be working.

It already almost 60 here today! We will be hanging out with the windows open and outside most of the day. I think we will have lunch on our picnic table.
I'm getting my hair done after work today. Super excited to get my "sparkle" covered up and let my hairdresser work her magic before I leave on my trip.
I was going to work from home today, but then I was invited to a group lunch outing, and I'm afraid to say no and then they don't invite me next time. #NeedFriends
Went to the outlets last night. I ended up with $75 of clothes for DD and no Easter dress for her, the reason I went. Got DS a cute t-shirt, shoes for my husband, and two jars of pickles. I did stop into dress barn but they weren't having a good sale and everything was too expensive even with a coupon. The plan today is to hang out and enjoy the warm weather. It's supposed to rain the rest of the weekend. My husband is working overnight but has a break this afternoon until the kids bed time. So at least I'll have help with bedtime. Now to decided if I want to watch a movie or catch up on TV. Happy Friday!
Dylan woke up at 12am so I brought her in bed with us. She slept maybe two hours before wanting to get off the bed and play. DH put her back in her room and she cried for a few minutes, yelling "Mommy." Broke my heart and I almost went back in to get her. She just recently starting saying Mommy instead of Mama. Its so cute but not at 3am.

Im having a pretty good Friday so far. Donuts for breakfast, the main people I dislike are all out of the office today which means I can stream whatever the hell I want, and I get to have a lunch break date with my husband
Today is the office mean girl's last day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
H's crew had a habit of sending people off with a rainbow cake that said "Go Fuck Yourself, John" (or whatever the person's name). Except this was done because they liked the guys, not because they really felt this way.
Every Friday I play a song for my students as they walk in the class. Today I'm playing the new Lorde and it's putting me in such a good mood. I wish I could just play it on repeat today instead of teaching.

So given the housing situation here H and I are considering taking our down payment (which is 10% down on a 2 bed condo in toronto, and not a very big/fancy condo) and moving to rural Nova Scotia and buying a house outright. The downside is that there aren't many jobs there (hence why houses are so cheap). But we would own a house without a mortgage. So that's attractive. We're probably not THAT serious but it's a fun fantasy.
yl I'm so freaking obsessed with that song!! I've listened to it on repeat, daily, since it's come out! Can't wait for her album, whenever that may be
I love it more every time I listen to it. She sounds (and looks) like she's really grown up a lot, so I can't wait to see what she brings with this album! (It looks like it comes out June 16th)

cornpop311, @traceyos, I think Cornpop's is a house-related one-time tax sitch, but if you repeatedly owe, the plus side is, you aren't giving the government a free loan. But if you do always owe, and it bothers you, just adjust your husband's withholding.
When we married we switched both our withholdings to single, 0 exemptions (yay marriage penalty) and we've been safe every since. Ideally, you want to owe a tiny bit, because then you didn't give the government an interest-free loan.
Taxes this year were a headache and I can't wait to file. Four W-2s, in 2 states, headache city!! Especially because New York State taxed husband's income even after we moved because it was "NY Source" income, but NY City did not, because it's based on residency, and my eyeballs still feel like they're going to fall out from doing all the calculations.

I'm super excited. I talked to two of my girlfriends at work and we are all going to get together with our kids tomorrow night to do to the drive in. That's always more fun with friends. I think I'm going to let my kids watch the Beauty and the Beast original cartoon version tonight. I'm not sure if they have watched it all the way through yet.
This weather is supposed to be beautiful tonight and tomorrow which is super exciting. I also got off early today and DH is cooking dinner. Yay!
We just got back from the children's museum. He LOVES that place but passed out with 3 minutes of being home. I hope he sleeps until daddy gets home. Speaking of... he said "DADDY'S HOME!" when he heard the door open last night. Cutest thing ever.
