I think C is going through a growth spurt...He slept great when we put him down (he's usually a champ about sleeping at night, which is awesome!) But this feeding took forever...like an hour and a half. He just kept eating. He was like that earlier today too. I think he's finally almost asleep. Just waiting a few minutes to make sure he doesn't start fussing before I go back to sleep myself!
DS refused to sleep in his bassinet and instead slept on my chest from 2-5am. Just think of the sleep I could have had! Uhh. I need sleep, I might try a rnp you guys keep mentioning. I'm getting desperate.

It's been such a lifesaver for us. My DD had reflux and needed to be elevated with all of her spitting up and projectile vomiting she had. She had a ton of mucus and nasal congestion from it and the RNP was our saving grace!
Up at 4am to handle "my baby" for the night. My H took baby boy's feedings and I took baby girl (spoiler she's the better sleeper). So I slept from about 11:30pm - 4am only waking to wake up my H when baby boy was crying.

Add me to the sleeplessness club. DS2 was up every hour last night. My nipppes are so sore! He's been sleeping on me at night but doesn't seem to like it anymore which is fine except he also hates the bassinet and RnP. He naps in the mamaroo during the day and loves it. I was this close to putting him in that thing last night but that seems like a bad precedent to set for nighttime sleep.

DD and I are up for the day. Feeding DD, then maybe pumping and feeding myself. She gave me a 4 hour stretch and I pumped for about 5 minutes during that for comfort. DH is at work until 7p and DS is at my moms. I'm on the last episode of Parks and Recreation.
After all this RnP talk I'm worried I wasted money on our fancy pants bassinet. I hope he sleeps in it because it's perfect for next to our bed, and the RnP would be too low to keep next to the bed - I'd worry about dropping a pillow on him or the cat messing with him without me knowing.
mosdub 2 of my 3 were fine in a bassinet. Even baby boy is getting better sleeping in it. The RnP is nice to have though - it's easy to move around the house.

A neighbor just congratulated my mom on having a baby girl. Mom assumed he recognized our dog. She and I look a lot alike but it's pretty clear she's older and did not just have a baby. I also really don't like this neighbor, and that doesn't help.

Good to know! I was planning on using the rock n play during the day when we are around the house/computer room/grand parents house
callmeKD fingers crossed it's not too bad and you don't get anyone else sick.
Does anyone have experience with using a crib wedge for reflux? Are they safe? Do the work?
I'm looking for reflux positioning things and it seems any sleeping aid type things are banned in Canada. Now I'm paranoid to use anything. The rock n play seems to be available at toys r us, but it's labeled as "soothing seat" not a sleeper.

This right here.
It's great forbthe first rough weeks but both of mine started to get tired of sleeping at an angle. DD slept in a crib yesterday and is now wanting to sleep flat sometimes. Don't worry mosdub it most likely won't be a waste.

I may be misremebering but, I think the RnP got banned in Canada when my first was a baby because there was a mold issue with the seat. It made some kids sick or something and it got removed from stores. Fisher Price has fixed that though, so if say it's safe. I strongly suggest getting one. Especially if your it is uncomfortable on his back.

Our baby prefers the rock n play to her pack n play (which is where she sleeps in our bedroom now) but our pediatrician said not to let her sleep in it unattended. So, I let her sleep in it during the day and she sleeps great.

corinne yep, sounds like a clog. Keep up with the massage, hand express as needed. I'm big on lecithin to help clear. Also wet heat - shower water, or a damp rag under a heating pad.
