Hugs for those of you with baby sickness! Sounds like it has been a rough night/morning for many!
I was able to run the half marathon this morning, and I felt like a mother-f-ing beast and was really proud of myself. (Slightly less proud when I saw how puffy I looked in the pictures....how long have I been talking about getting serious about my diet? But whatev.)
So happy that I seem to be on the right track to figuring out my knee issue and that I can run on my "good days." I promise to be less grumpy for health/wellness check-ins now. : )
DS1 apparently pooped in the potty at daycare Thursday (I think) even though he had an accident too. This morning, he got up and pooped all by himself!! I know he can do it which makes the accidents all the more frustrating. I'm taking him out for a special treat tonight.
My parents came over today and we painted the whole kitchen and hallway and I'm beat. I have a ton of cabinets and it was so much cutting around sharp corners. But I'm really happy with how it turned out. I mean anything is better than wallpaper with grapes on it but this really feels like me.
sharebear05, poor baby and poor mama! Acidic poops sounds like the absolute worst. I'm sure y'all will be able to solve his digestive riddle though! By Easter! : )
ashiscute, My kids haven't seen Moana yet, but I have to imagine it's better to hear about than Pokemon! Ugh. I hate Pokemon.
Today was Opening Day for baseball, and I'm over it. lol! I'm exhausted and sunburned. Having two kids on separate teams is NO joke, people. IF only my kids had inherited my sport's skills (read: none)

Just got home from the drive in. It was a little crazy with the kids, but from what I saw of the movie I loved it! I love that they stayed true to the original Disney cartoon version storyline and kept the music. Love love love! The kids enjoyed watching the cartoon version this afternoon and the one tonight.
My mom, stepdad, middle sister and my niece all stopped by this afternoon. They were visiting my youngest sister who isn't currently speaking to me because her new husband is a douche. Kids had fun with the unexpected visit and it broke up our day a bit.
So, if you were given free tickets to a fundraising banquet/dinner of something you really don't care about, would you go just for the sake of having a date night. A friend from DH's work has extra tickets for some conservation/wild turkey hunting club thing. Yeah, I'm not in to that at all. But with dates being so rare I'm not sure what to do. If we go, the night out would only cost us the expense of a sitter, but this really isn't something I see myself enjoying. :/ what to do....
360blessings I go to every free thing we are lucky enough to get invited to. So I would go. You can zone out and have quiet time during the speeches.
Side note, last time we visited my dad in Virginia we went to a thing about wild turkeys (they have lots on their property) and it was really interesting. Unless you mean wild turkey the bourbon?! I would go either way!
Man, I'm pooped. The past few days have been non-stop for me, and tomorrow is going to be crazy, too. Today I spent the whole day being an author at a book festival. I was having a little bit of imposter syndrome going on because all the other authors there were so good and I felt like I didn't deserve to be there. But the teens who were there were so great and some people bought my book and some had already read it, so I got over myself eventually.
I was trying to get ready to go and R, who likes to sit on the counter while I do my makeup, pushed my arm while I was putting on my mascara, and I ended up with a mascara wand in my eye. Mascara got all over my face and my eye obviously teared up like crazy, so I had to totally re-do my makeup, which made me late. I was pretty close to having a panic attack when I walked out the door. Then I had low-grade anxiety all day because I had no phone service at this school (so dumb), so now that I'm home and relaxed, I am just WIPED.

EmMilAlly - real wild turkeys, I'd be much more agreeable about going if it was the bourbon. 😉
yl - good point. I'll ask. Glad you got over yourself because you're a fantastic author. Sorry about the mascara. Ouch!
It's 2:00am and DS2 just woke up to puke. Here's hoping it was a one time thing as a result of the junk food he ate at the drive in...God help me.
And also, I put our nursery furniture up for sale yesterday on a couple facebook yard sale sites. It makes me sad. I've already gotten some hits and a woman is hopefully going to come out later today. I want to make this as quick and painless as possible. It's hard feeling super sentimental as I bought this furniture for my first son before we lost him, and this crib has held all three of my boys. Sniff sniff.

@traceyos ds1 had randomly puked in the car and on plane since he was 2. It's really infrequent but it weirdly happens and I can't find a correlation to food etc.
I had one too many margaritas last night (read- I had 2) and totally lost my token rands. But it led to good st and o sttn so it turned out well. I'm looking forward to our low key day today
sharebear05 - DH and DS2 have both had pink eye at different times. While one person has it, the rest of us haven't gotten it. Wash whatever your niece may have come in contact with and hopefully you won't have it in your house. DH held the boys while he had it, he just washed his hands before and didn't touch his face.
TL;DR - wash things, contact doesn't automatically equal transfer of infection
I woke up at 6 due to dreams, not good ones either. DH is getting ready to leave yet again and DS1 is asking to go with him, yet again. Today DH is playing with his brothers and I'm sure he'll be gone all freaking day. I'm a little PO because not only have we not spent much family time together lately, he still hasn't done our taxes so I can send them off. I know he'll want to lock himself in our room when he gets home but no. I plan on running out of the house when he gets back. I'm so tired of being left at home.
Every night before bath Henry walks around naked and finds a spot to pee. He thinks this is hilarious and has been doing it for about a week. Should I start getting him to do this in a little potty? We are SOOO far from PT-ing for real, so I'm hesitant. Is PT-ing something that needs to be done one fell swoop?

No I do not think potty training needs to be done in one fell swoop at all. Viv often wants to just sit on the potty. She sees dd1 and ds sit on the potty and she wants to be like them.
She does nothing on the potty and I don't think she is even close to potty training. I do not think it is wrong to introduce a potty to him.
I'm READING! And my mind is staying focused and my eyes aren't going blurry! It is a post pardum miracle.
Oh how I've missed being able to read at night.
It has been a solid 3 months of failed attempts to read.
So far tonight I am really enjoying The Practice House by Laura McNeal. If anyone wants to read and chat about it let me know.
It's funny last night I could not see my phone for the life of me. Then I took off my glasses and things were so much more clear. They were just really disgusting.
CoachTsWife congrats on the van! Which one did you get? I know it would be a lot easier for us, especially after the new baby comes. I don't want to give up my 4wd for a car payment though. I hope you two avoid the bug!
Great job ncjulia12! I wish I could run. I used to.
Today I got up and made delicious blueberry pancakes and sausage for breakfast. My kids didn't eat it. LOL. It's the first day in probably at least a month or two that we all ate breakfast together. Today we are going to a really cool kids museum. It's like a mini version of the Please Touch museum for all you Philly people. I'm so excited to take the girls. H seems to be feeling better, so he might try to come too. He has viral bronchitis apparently.
