mflowers929, yes, from what I understand the B vitamins can help balance things if you have a situation of estrogen dominance/low progesterone. One of my signs was a short LP (usually 9 days). I couldn't believe the month I started taking the vitamins that I ovulated on day 14 and we conceived. I have never ovulated that early (when I have been tracking, at least.)
I was using a B100 complex but switched to a B50 complex after my BFP. The nurse at my OB office said it was fine to stay on them after conception as they have folic acid and the B6 can help with nausea.
esgrunner I'm so sorry you are here but welcome. I know I need to take my own advice, but don't let your mind go there. It wasn't anything you did. Just like Rama and Smores said earlier. So many hugs girl.
Ladies I have a newb type question. I may be overthinking this.
How early can you get symptoms after ovulation? Dr Google says you can't until the fertilized egg implants 7-9 days after. I had an assumed ectopic last pregnancy so part of me is paranoid implantation could have happened already in my tube or something. It was a scary situation that was luckily a false alarm, but the thought of something making getting pregnant harder when I've already dealt with so much terrifies me.
notelsie I've never had symptoms earlier than a week post ovulation, and even then I think most of it is in my head. If you're not opposed to seeing negatives and truly want to know asap, I would just stock up on wondfos and start testing at like 9 or 10 DPO. But that's just my two cents.
I tend to get early positives. With my son I started getting symptoms at 6dpo, and tested positive by 9dpo.
With my last pregnancy we were NTNP so I can't be 100% on dates.. but based on when we had sex it looks like I would have been about 9 or 10 dpo then as well.
notelsie yikes that is messy. It does look "right" kinda. Idk. I hope you aren't getting sick. I do have a friend who seems to have symptoms at what appears to be too early but she also has been pregnant each time. I'm not saying that you are or that it's even possible. It's mostly anecdotal. At any rate, for peace of mind, I'd suggest what ajetter did and start testing around 9dpo.

The earliest recorded implantation after ovulation is 5-6 days. Only after implantation does the embryo start pumping out the hormones that give you symptoms. So really, 6-7 days after ovulation (assuming that the egg was fertilized right around ovulation) is the very earliest that you should start having pregnancy symptoms. I know that I was notorious for over analyzing all of my symptoms, and thought that I had symptoms at like 5 dpo until I looked at the science.

Huh, that's interesting. I'll have to mention it to the doctor when I see him later this month, and mention it to my cousin (we share much of the same symptoms)

::::LO mentioned:::::::
So this weekend we had a 1st bday party to go to. I had a lot of anxiety leading up to it. These friends have told us how they were going to try early for a second as well, and with the party falling on April Fools, I just couldn't shake this dreaded feeling. Plus it's probably more of an association with 1st bday since it was right after DD's that we got our bfp. Luckily, nothing happened. And usually dh is quite dismissive when I mention anxiety or jealousy with other pregnancies, but he was really supportive this time.
TTC #1 starting July 2013, RE last 2014 First Angel baby lost July 11, 2014 IUI #1 with injections successful: EDD 11/24/15 Rainbow baby DD born 11/14/15 TTC#2 October 2016 Second Angel baby lost Jan 5, 2017
I'm glad your H was nice to you about the anxiety, ldubhawksfan.
esgrunner, I'm so sorry for your loss, you are welcome to join us. In the past, it's always been understood that there will be no loss triggers, because that is what this entire thread is for. Triggers are used for pregnancy (yours or someone else's) or living children. Then, of course, your discretion, ex. I trigger for disturbing/gorey details, older child/adult loss, etc.
Unfortunately, most practitioners aren't going to put a lot of stock into your progesterone numbers because they fluctuate pretty wildly throughout the day and it could very well be read at a "low" and make someone spiral. It couldn't hurt to ask, though. I always do, but always get shot down, too, so prepare yourself for that possibility (I know many women do have OBs or REs that agree with P4 supplementation). For your next pregnancy, I would definitely insist on earlier/more frequent monitoring in first tri. You can ask for a few betas to help determine when something should show up on an ultrasound (my magic number was 10,000) and ask for a ultrasound around then. This happened for me at 6w.
Have you asked for/considered recurrent pregnancy loss testing? I would definitely ask and be persistent that you meet the qualifications with three losses in your belt, even if they try to pass off the CP. *hugs* I hope you can get some answers.

If you're worried, I would ask for betas. This was a key factor in determining our first loss was ectopic. Have you asked about getting a hysterosalpingogram (HSG)? This could give you peace of mind that your tubes are clear, but if you don't have authorization for it, it could be spendy. Shouldn't hurt to ask, though, if you're worried. <3

I hadn't even thought about an HSG. I had one in 2013 or 2014 along with an SHG. They were clear then, but I guess there is the possibility things could have changed?
ajetter & scoutradley- **TW LC** I am pretty used to getting that question, especially since DD just turned two, and I usually don't have an issue with it. I just say soon, we'll see, or asap.. depending on whose asking. **End TW** I think I just haven't had to verbally tell anyone about my miscarriage since it happened. Even then I notified people by text initially (like my parents and SIL). Verbalizing it again brought up a lot of emotion that I was wasn't expecting to have.
esgrunner - I am so, very sorry for your recent loss and previous losses. That bachelorette party sounds like it was a rough day and I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I wish that hadn't happened to you, but your experience does help me feel like I'm not alone or crazy. I'm thankful that you shared. It's comforting to know that others know what I'm going through and I'm not an island. **TW OPP** I completely understand the need to distance yourself from the other daycare mom right now. Do what you need to do for your mental well-being right now and don't feel guilty or bad about it. Even if it means avoiding her/that topic for a few weeks.**End TW**
mflowers929 - Thank you. Although I wish the timing/placement of it all had been different, this friend really did respond with a lot of empathy and love. At the end of the day, that's what really matters to me.
ldubhawksfan - I'm so glad that the party went better than you anticipated. I know how horrible the anxiety leading up to events like that can be. I'm happy to hear that YH was supportive when you needed him to be.

I mean, there's always a possibility. The likelihood is low, unless you've had an actual issue before (like I had to get a repeat after our ectopic), but if it would make you feel better/less anxious, I wouldn't put it off the table. I'm alllllllll about the anxiety mitigation. I make enough of it, so if I can dissipate any of it, I'm on freakin' board, haha.
Rama, Thanks for the thoughts/ideas you shared with me. The first thing my OB did when she came in the office (after hugging me) was to suggest I go to Shady Grove (fertility clinic). So, she set me up with a referral. She said they are much more equipped to get me set up for success with the next pregnancy and seemed relieved I was happy to go along with it.

Rama, she really is. She really wants us to have a healthy baby. The ultrasound tech at the OB office is new, and much better than the last one they had. She was super sensitive and kind.
This is all moving very fast now. We have an appt for 4/17 at the fertility clinic for our initial consultation. I'm so glad they are getting us in quickly. This is totally taking my mind off of the nightmare we've been living and it is just such a relief.
