Tuesday is my least favorite day of the week. That's my contribution.

Anyway, I'm exhausted, I didn't know DH had a game tonight (he usually has them M-W-F) so that put me in a crappy mood, it's raining and poopy outside here.

It's rainy and gloomy today. G woke up twice overnight to eat for the first time in forever. I think it's because I only offered the left side both times he nursed after work yesterday. My right nipple is cracked, and it bled when he ate Sunday night. I think I'll be able to nurse him on that side tonight. N was really good last night, even though he was mad about leaving school when I picked him up.

My mom left when we did this morning, and drop off was uneventful. G's teacher asked about napping in the crib, and I mentioned that he sleeps on his stomach at night. They are going to work on rolling with him so he can sleep on his stomach there. I told her I understand the liability aspect, but I hope he'll sleep today. Friday he napped 40 minutes total. I think nap training is in our future. Depending on how the day goes, we'll go to Moe's for dinner. Tuesday is normally kids eat free night, but they are also offering $5 burritos because the UConn women's basketball team won again last night. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get both promotions.

Overslept so it's been a rushed morning. Thankfully the kids were on good behavior this morning and cooperative. Good thing I actually picked out my clothes the night before for once.

@holachica, I've only had Chipotle once, and I prefer Moe's. Mainly because I hate cilantro, and I feel like everything at Chipotle had cilantro on it. They are actually building a Chipotle near the Moe's we go to. N was very concerned because the Subway (which we've never gone to) was not there anymore. I think if N had his way, he would eat at Moe's every day.

DH and I spent a good half hour yesterday rearranging the carseats in his truck and installing DS convertible seat. So much harder than installing the seats in my SUV which I did on my own last week. Washing the cover on the bucket and then going to try and get rid of it. I'm in major purging mode. I'm pretty much getting rid of baby stuff the second DS outgrows them.

Running a few errands this morning then going to a friend's place for a playdate.

Didn't contact any roofing companies yesterday so I'll try and do that today.

I haven't had Moe's in awhile. But I love both Chipotle and Moe's. I'm so hungry right now.
We've halted on sleep training. Some nights felt like progress. Others didn't. And still others were worse. We were getting worse sleep for an extended period of time with no end in sight. So back to doing what it takes to get her back to sleep, so I can get a couple of nights of less awful sleep. Last night she was up at 11, 12, 1, 3, and 6. Which didnt end up being mich better. Just awful in different ways than the being up for a long time listening to her cry. Blech. I'm having her ears rechecked tomorrow at DD1s check up. And then I'll go from there. I thought I would have this down so well second time around. But there's just so many variables. Ear infection, teething, leaps, zoloft, solids, room temperature, clothing. Like I have no idea what is going on anymore.
Today is DD1s birthday. I'm trying so hard to get out of my survival mode to acknowledge and appreciate it. And atleast make it exciting for her. Pretty much cleaning and planning this week for her family party which is Sunday.
Next week she has her dentist appointment and I think we're getting rid of the naptime and bedtime binky. So there goes her nap probably.
And I need to talk to the pedi about her poop holding. I have no idea when this is going to resolve. And I have no idea how to potty train a child who won't even poop in her diaper.
Just so much going on. There always is. And thinking about it all on such horrible sleep is just... impossible.

sanibel21, Sorry to hear you're still struggling with sleep. I hope you find a way to get longer stretches sooner rather than later because you all can benefit from better sleep. Right now I agree you just need to get your sleep however you can so you can function.

As for DD1, have you tried fiber gummies? That's what our pediatrician recommended when DS1 was holding his poop. It started affecting his weight because he'd be so uncomfortable he wouldn't eat. Just a few days of fiber gummies got him used to pooping again.

I hope you have a good day celebrating DD1's birthday and not stressing about everything else going on. I truly hope you can catch a break soon.

sanibel21, I am so sorry you are dealing with sleep issues still. The constant lack of sleep is so awful. Hoping that it's just a growth spurt or something that will pass soon.
smallpotato I think I've seen Moe's out here, but haven't eaten there before. Honestly, not a huge fan of texmex, my dad made us each too much of it as kids.

Took another sick day off at work. Finally feeling a little more able to move around and do things, which is a relief because I think DH may have caught what I have. FX'd he doesn't and that DS also stays healthy.

I only pumped 2 oz this morning, and barely that. I know part of it is sickness, but my supply has been dwindling in general - my frozen stash is pretty much gone at this point. Sad.

sanibel21 I just feel so awful for you right now. You need to get some sleep. Sleep deprivation is a special level of hell and you have GOT to be able to get rest so that you can fully function and parent. Happy birthday to your DD1, I hope you can squeeze in some quality time for her.

sanibel21, happy birthday to DD1! My nephew also holds his poop, and my sister gives him a combination of prune juice and apple juice at least once a day. I hope you find some resolution for that. I hope you get some sleep soon too. I'm also team do what it takes to get sleep. I struggled with deciding to nurse G when he woke up overnight, but I knew he'd go back to sleep after, so I did.

Just me and DD today. It's poopy outside still so I think during her next nap I'm going to focus on cleaning. I need to scrub the bathroom and the kitchen. If I dont get to the floors today they can be done on Thursday.

I think I'm finally on the mend from that awful virus. So far neither of the kids have gotten it *knock on wood*

So much this.  I feel for you because we're dealing with the same shitty sleep and I know we are both dealing with some anxiety stuff. It's so hard to work on the anxiety with sleep deprivation. Big hugs lady.

I'm irritated with my mom. I went over the weekend to a parent class for the baby dedication stuff (it was really just a lot of info and what we needed to submit for it - we have to write like a vision statement and send in some pics, etc). I knew it was in April but they hadn't told us the official date yet. Found out it's April 22nd. My mom says she isn't sure what to do because their neighborhood yard sale is that day. Okay mom. Whatever.

I really don't care if any family is there besides just me, DH and our kids to be honest. It would make my life easier anyway. But I'm annoyed that when I told my mom the date, that was her first reaction. Priorities.

@snuff9861- I'm glad to hear you're feeling better!

My morning was kind of crazy. DH went to feed the dogs around 6:40am and yelled that he needed my help. When he pulled the dog food bin out of the pantry, he discovered two mice on the floor. So, I got the dust pan & brush, and a bucket and he pulled the other bins out and tried to get the mice, but they both ran out of the pantry, each going in different directions. One ran into the bathroom and the other ran into the breezeway. I ran after the one in the breezeway, but it had gone behind the couch and I couldn't find it. Meanwhile, DS was screaming his head off in the exersaucer in the living room. I opened the sliding door that leads to the backyard deck and went into the kitchen. I was talking to DH about what to do next and I happened to look towards the breezeway and saw the mouse run out the door - YES! I ran over to shut the door and watched the mouse scurry off the deck. The other mouse that had run into the bathroom was gone. They are so small they can apparently fit through the pipe hole in the floor underneath the baseboard heater. Hopefully my cats will take care of that one, but who knows. After things settled down a bit, DH told me that when he was giving DS a bottle at 4am, he could have sworn he saw, out of the corner of his eye, a mouse running along the wall in DS's room. We haven't had any mice in our house for years, so he thought he was seeing things. Guess not.

DD2 had an orthodontist appointment at 9:10, so when the bus picked DD1 up at 8:15, we ran over to Home Depot and bought some spin traps and then went back home to set them. I put three downstairs and one in DS's room, just in case. We were still able to get to the orthodontist appointment about 20 minutes early, so they took her early and we were only there for like 10/15 minutes. I was happy that I was going to get to work earlier than I expected. Nope. I dropped her off at school and was halfway to work when the school nurse called me because DD2 was already complaining that her front teeth were in a lot of pain (her braces got tightened), so I had to turn around and go home to get some Motrin and bring it to the school, and then head to work. I got to work at 10:15, and felt like I could use a stiff drink!

Now that I'm at work, the server has been constantly going down and I can't get into any of the folders I need to access to actually do work. Good grief!

Realized I forgot my pump this morning after I dropped the kids at daycare. Rushed home and grabbed it and make it to work just in time.

I wasn't around as much the last few days because my anxiety is awful. Obviously my grief is manifesting as anxiety, it was awful when I was at my parent's house. It's hard because it's for a legitimate reason - being high risk for melanoma and possibly some other cancers - but it's just spiraling to a level that is not healthy. I've got myself dying early in my mind, jumping right to worse case scenario. The flip side that I could never get cancer, or catch it right away doesn't even seem like a possibility (that's how I know this is irrational). I just called the OB to talk about anxiety with her on Monday and I do have another therapy appointment on Thursday. I also have another dermatology appointment on Monday to re-excise one of my moles so when there I can talk to her about all of this worry.

Ok enough rambling, I'm just struggling. DH and I agreed to have a no phone rule at home, because I can't stop reading Dr. Google.

Oh and it's my birthday. My Mom's 65th birthday would have been the 31st.

ksyknelvr73, I would be annoyed too. That sounds like something my MIL would say. I'm sorry that was her first thought when you told her the date.

jwinct, I am, yeah. I've never liked the taste of it. I would be freaking out about the mice; we've had some in the house, but, luckily, I've never seen one. I saw one at work once when I was pregnant with N, and I spent the rest of the day convinced the mouse was going to come back and infect me with the plague. I hope your day improves from here.

jwinct, wow, what a morning! I hate mice. Eww, eww, eww. I've only seen them outside at our house but just knowing they're there creeps me out. The lot behind us is 8 acres of open grass and farm fields are just a block away. A haven for mice. Just stay outside and no one will get hurt. Same with bugs. Stay in the garage or unfinished parts of the basement and I'll let you live. I find you in my living space, you're a goner.

Hugs to fem and sanibel21. I'm sorry you're both struggling. Happy birthday though and to your daughter sanibel!

I'm home with a sick little today. Both kids have had dry coughs for about a week. Over the weekend, DS2's ramped up to congestion, green boogs, and a really junky cough. He was awake from 1-3:30 on Sunday night and then started running a low grade temp at daycare yesterday. By the time he went to bed it was 102*, so, here I am. He's cranky and his breathing is so noisy. I'm sure it's his ears again, but H thinks we should wait and see, since his fever only started just yesterday afternoon.

Work has been going really well. I'm seeing patients on my own and really feel like I'm staring to get a handle on things. I think I'm on orientation for April and then on my own starting in May. I think. We're falling into a routine at home too. So that's nice. I wish I had the opportunity/energy to be around more often, I miss it here.

I'm doing really well on the Celexa. Oh my gosh, it feels so good to think like a normal person for the first time in so long. I missed the follow up appt with my OB last Friday (work was insane, I completely forgot about it), but he reordered the Celexa for me anyway and told me to follow up with him at the end of April instead. He's such a good doc.

I wouldn't hesitate to mention to the derm about your anxiety- maybe they can put a note in your file that if you see any moles come up, you can get a priority appointment for a check. Or even just schedule every 3-4 months until you can get a handle on the anxiety.

fem I'm so sorry you're struggling too. I can not even imagine having to deal with grief on top of all this stuff. I really hope you keep digging until you get some sort of relief. It's so hard. You're not alone. And I hope you have some nice parts to your birthday.
britta I miss you! Sorry.you have a sickie, but glad it gave you a chance to pop in here. I know the job is still new but do you like it better than staying home do you think? Was it what you needed? Or that in conjunction with the celexa? I know we had some similar thoughts on, and struggles with, stating home.

I switched to this new one because she was so good dealing with the anxiety my last appointment. I hope talking to her will help me again.

sanibel21 I was thinking about this the other day. I really think I needed them both, in different ways. The Celexa is helping SO MUCH with my anxiety and the irritability I was experiencing. I'm so much more laid back about things. Being back at work has helped a lot with my self-worth and feelings of being understimulated and fulfillment. Maybe some of that would have resolved with just the Celexa, but I really feel like a lot of it is just doing what I love again. I feel like I'm rambling, but honestly I feel so much better. It's nuts.
