Looking forward to a morning of listening and learning vs trying to sell stuff at my conference this morning. It is much more in my comfort zone!
My mother has decided, from half a country away, that I'm at fault for her doctor's decisions. So that's fun. My saintly H has her, my puking oldest, and then the toddler today. I think my day of conference and travel looks downright easy in comparison.
Flipping through the radio stations in the car on the way to work to hear someone say "grow a vagina!" It's too early for vagina talk. I haven't had my coffee yet.
My mom and dad are currently on the road, driving up for a family event this weekend. They'll be staying with us for 5 days. I'm so excited to see them and I'm thrilled my mom is well enough to travel, but ...

I am at the glass repair place getting a chip in my windshield fixed. They do a special on Wednesday for $25 chip repairs. Then I am well enough to go to work. The sore throat is gone but I am still really stuffy and sneezing. No fever. It may be allergies at this point.

O woke up with a really swollen hand and he bends it but not a full on fist. But he seems better with advil, and he was playing basketball, which is his favorite, so I'm going to hold off taking him in. I just finished paying his tongue ER visit and foot xray - so I'd like to avoid if not necessary. Dr. Google says they rarely break bones from this and since he's moving it I'm thinking its just a sprain.
Chilaxing it out today. I actually don't have to bring any food to church dinner tonight. Nothing on the kids schedule either. Going to finish up laundry (maybe) and enjoy the sunshine.
I hear you about parents not communicating medical issues. My dad is especially bad about it. I found out a long time after it happened that he had a mini stroke because of high cholesterol.
amch8 , Thank you for that amazing gif. I totally forgot about "beer me strength" even though it was basically my AIM away message throughout college lol. Have fun with your parents!

I’m listening to Dave Matthews Pandora station. It’s putting me in such a good mood. It also makes me laugh.
When I was younger, my parents were huge Dave fans. They’d see him any chance they got, and I’d always make fun of them. I was in my punk rock stage and obviously DMB and mainstream music were the enemy. In stereotypical fashion, I fell in love with DMB in college and haven’t looked back. I didn’t sell out, I bought in, right? haha
Pumping while L plays on his piano mat. Whoever invented that thing is a genius. Today I am going to watch Chicago med on Netflix and snuggle with my baby. I sent Henry to daycare and am going to enjoy the day off. The week got of to a rough start with doctors appointments, ear infections, sanitizing the entire house, plus incident reports at daycare. So I deserve this, right?!? Next big decision, what to get for lunch.
Oh and I ordered 123-magic for me, and Teeth are Not for Biting for Henry. I hope these help. We've been spared tantrums for so long I think it's catching up with us!
Hope you feel better @jntex. I showed Hubs my to do list and told him about my need for a solo overnight at a hotel. He made a comment that suggested his fear that I'm unhappy in the marriage. I wanted to simultaneously hug him to death and slap him. Hug- cuz I love him and all of his special-ness and I can't imagine this without him. Slap- cuz dude this ain't about you, all in your feelings. It's about me and my feelings. Ugh, boys.

After I refused to go to my MIL's today, my husband said he'd go with just Elena. Awesome. Time off for me!
Then yesterday, they decided not to go, and "it would've been more work than I thought because we'd be setting some stuff up." I managed to keep my "I told you so!" an internal reaction.
Now he's not only not taking the toddler off my hands for the afternoon, he's not even coming home for lunch as usual because his side gig has a meeting at noon today.
It seems that the realtor on that house never responded because they were dealing with another offer already. So, that sucks. I'm frustrated that they didn't even give us a chance to give a competing bid! Our realtor only found out by seeing it go pending; she STILL never even sent a "we're accepting another offer" e-mail to her, which I find incredibly rude. Now we're back to square 1 again, and I'm starting to question if we should have started this process at all. This is the third house we've been shut out on without even getting a chance to give an offer :/
My husband was helping me change my insulin pod this afternoon. I told him I wanted to try it on the back of my arm this time. He said okay he would help. Then he sat down and said where do I put it, like on the flabby part? My head spun. I corrected him that I have no flabby parts according to what he ever sees. He got the point.

Soooo I'm definitely going to be onboarding for LLR. I'm in the queue. Totally won't post a ton about it or a link here just so I don't bug you all. But if there is any interest to join my group when it's set up send me a PM.

imavera That's so annoying. I don't understand how so many people can't be bothered to make a 2 minute phone call or send a one sentence email. These are not small decisions here, people!
Exactly! I told DH last night that some of these people don't seem to remember that they're in the business of people buying their HOME. Ugh. We would have even given them their full asking price, but I guess they'll never know that :/
The housing market isn't even that competitive here, but we keep getting scooted out by investors since we'd like one that's NOT flipped.
@feegan I think you're making the right call. I let L play outside on our screened in porch and I can see her while I do dishes and it is so great. Not having to be actively blocking them from danger will allow them some independence and you a little space!
@feegan - Has your H spent much time out in your current "yard" with the kiddos? Has he had to try to keep them away from the poop or stream? It sounds to me like he's completely devoid of understanding of your day-to-day parenting challenges and that's why he can't understand why new is better than old.
We've been attempting nap time for 2.5 hours. I'm so done. I'd give in, but she can barely keep her eyes open. I try rocking her, but she just takes that opportunity to stick her fingers up my nose. Just go to sleep you tiny, tyrant!!
