Omg the baby coughed all night long. I eventually went and slept with him on the couch just to help him stay vertical and drain. Poor guy, he didn't sleep well either but I guess he's just getting the crap out of him. I get my iud later this morning, yay!
loves2shop4shoes, I'm a touch jealous of your sleep. I think DS2 is going to do better once he feels well.

It's rainy and cold today. Spring will come at some point.
Clara is 4 weeks old today and celebrated by sleeping for 5 hours straight last night! Oh my word! I'll try not to expect that every night, but boy wouldn't it be nice? Lol

I am so jealous of everyone who has babies who sleep. The best we get is one 4 hour stretch. Then it's 2-3 hours of that.
Regardless I feel pretty good. Just got home from the gym. DH is home today so we are going to the mall, and then he will get his turn at the gym. I'm determined to get in the hot tub today! My muscles need it and it's been a year since I've enjoyed it!!

Add me to those jealous of the long stretches! I got one 3.5 hour stretch and one 2 hour stretch before my husband took over at 5:00. But he's working from home today and I got to sleep in, so I'm feeling rested!
I had my OB appointment yesterday and it left me frustrated and upset. After a week of severe pain in my episiotomy incision, the area felt much better yesterday. The OB noticed that some stitches were still healing but said it looked good otherwise. So no explanation for the pain. He did prescribe an estrogen cream to heal it faster. I asked if the 7-minute workout I had been doing caused it and if I should avoid all exercise for a while, and he said no to both. But obviously something caused it, and as much as I'm dying to exercise, I'm afraid of it now.
We got 6.5 then 3 hours last night. Bless this little boy.
My sister is over today entertaining DD. If DS will let me put him down for more than 15 minutes today I might be able to get a shower and clean a little while. He's been a clingy little fella lately.

Oh and he said it's not necessary to do pelvic floor rehabilitation because the weakness doesn't heal until my hormones regulate after I'm done breastfeeding. He gave me the referral anyway, because I'm going to be BFing for a while and I asked for it. I guess my expectation was that I'd get my body back after giving birth, and I'm frustrated that that's not the case.
notagoddess I'm sorry for the lack of answers, how frustrating!
AFM - we had another eh night. Z slept from about 10:30 - 3:30 then was fussy after that. She wouldn't let me put her down so, again, she was on me until about 5 when we got up to feed her and pump. She was boycotting sleep again yesterday evening so instead of having a good stretch from about 6 or 7 until 10 she just kept fighting sleep. She must know that we were planning on finally setting up the monitor and trying out putting her upstairs for that stretch instead of keeping her in her sleeper downstairs with us.
I also started working from home 20-30 hours a week this week, which is an adjustment. I am happy to be using some brain cells again, and it'll make for a better transition (I hope), but trying to get myself to stick to a schedule again is difficult.

I think E is extra sleepy because she got her vaccinations on Wednesday.
I admire you ladies that have been regularly working out. I have a hard time finding the time to shower and get myself dressed most days.
I feel like any time I need to go anywhere it's kind of a production to get myself even remotely decent for the outside world...though I have mastered the art of doing your makeup while pumping. #priorities

loves2shop4shoes it's amazing how since becoming a mom I leave the house in a manner I never would have acceptable - leggings, baggy Ts, hair a mess, no makeup...I just have zero cares these days.

I never used to leave the house with messy hair and little to no makeup, but ever since having DS, those things are less of a priority. Some days I'm just happy we get out the door without forgetting something.

musicallyinclined hope the LO feels better! dancerspose good luck starting up your work sched again! And hooray for some sleeping babies!
DD gave an awesome stretch, 10pm-430am and back down until i woke her at 730. What the what? She basically had a witching hour from 230pm-10pm so I think she was tired but I'll take the good night! Also, I'm 5 wk pp today and i *think* my bleeding/spotting is done. I'm so excited bc I bled for almost 15 wk last time. So I'm holding off on any working out until I know this is gonna stick!
flyinghorses6 - our babes have similar sleep patterns. Neither babe wanted to go to sleep last night, tried from 7:30 till 11:30 to get both to sleep. I woke up at 2 and pumped then babes woke up at 2:45 so fed and I was up with G till 4:30. So tired today and wondering how the hell I'll be able to work after a night like that.
loves2shop4shoes - I feel leaving the house is also a major production and still only shower 2/3 times a week. Maybe that should be my FFFC haha!

notagoddess I'm sorry but this is why I see a female OB. No vagina, no clue what it means to be a woman looking for answers. Pelvic floor weakness is not something you need to live with. There are answers, and things you can do to strengthen it. I'm sure once you're done breastfeeding, there's even more you can do. But acting like it's one or the other seems a bit ridiculous to me. And if I were you- I would find a way to do some exercise; especially if it's something you want to do. There are lower resistance things you can do, walking, mini band work, body weight stuff. I am a million times happier now that the gym is back in my routine. And no, I can't do everything I used to but I am happy I can do something. I guess I just wouldn't accept his answers- I would try to get my body back anyway. And the longer you wait the harder it is to get going, and to make changes. (I learned the hard way with DD1)
Oh loves2shop4shoes there is no makeup. Ever. But that's also not my priority. If I'm going out it's mostly yoga pants and a messy bun.

@jacks605 I just keep telling myself that the 4 month regression just won't even hit us (or we won't notice), because we don't have sleeping babies now. Lol fingers crossed and wishful thinking, but a girl can dream!

Add me to the list of being jealous of everyone's long stretches. We usually get 3 hours stretches, maybe 3.5. But I have adjusted and don't really feel all that tired during the day.
It's raining here today. I think I'm going to go to Old Navy (psa: 40% off everything today) and Kohls. Hoping to fit a work out in, but so far R is having a clingy day, so I'm not holding my breath. Friday is pizza night in our house, so I'm excited.

flyinghorses6, I agree completely about not understanding. Am I really supposed to deal with pelvic floor weakness, without doing anything to improve it, for the year plus I plan on BFing? Why wouldn't I do something to try to fix it if help is available? It's not like this is a neutral issue for most women: it's obviously upsetting.
I plan on getting back to light exercise in a few more days. Hopefully it won't cause further pain.

R slept from 8-2:15, 3-7, then 7:30-9:30. After the tough day he had yesterday, we both needed it.
I also found out this morning that my BFF's FET was a success and she is pregnant!!!
I was planning on going out today but it's cold and rainy so we are chilling inside. We already got a bath done and R just fell asleep on me, hence the time to post.

DS never slept and I never really noticed a 4 month regression. I did notice the 6 month one, but once we got him to go to sleep independently at 6.5 months his sleep got so much better.

IUD insertion did not go as planned. My cervix bled like crazy. All over the floor, table, everywhere. Just got an ultrasound to see whether or not it is where it supposed to be. My uterus is apparently way up in me. Now I get to have it reinserted under guidance with ultrasound. I'm over crap being shoved up into lady land. And I get to talk with billing after this because it appears we overpaid by roughly $500.

We thought we patched the roof earlier this week, but today's rain has proven otherwise. Thankfully I don't think we need a whole new roof, but my uncle (a carpenter) is going to check it out sometime. It's a small leak, but I don't want to deal with the mold if it continues!
H found a really good deal on a diaper bag that I've been wanting. I wanted one that I could use as a purse when we're done with babies, so it's really nice. I'm almost nervous to use it - but also super excited because it's leather and gorgeous. I'm glad he bought it earlier this week before we knew the roof patch didn't work

DS has been clingy yesterday and today. Wants to be held at all times. Also has decided no Naps in the crib ever, only on me and occasionally on the bouncy chair. Weird because he sleeps in the crib all night
Oh no musicallyinclined! Yikes. I'm so sorry it didn't got smoothly.
+1 to being jelly about all the long stretches. B is so bad at night sleeping. We're still waiting for the insurance pre-approval for Prevacid because the Zantac stopped working. We're up every 2hrs or less here. I'm over it, especially because I'm back to work on Monday. Wahhhhh. ðŸ˜
