I'm finishing up two days/one night of solo parenting while H was OOT. It seems lame to complain about it at this point in the thread, but I've been stretched so thin. My toddler learned how to escape his crib yesterday and didn't nap yesterday nor today. I'm doing solo bedtime tomorrow and Sunday as well. My nerves are shot.
littleredfish, I'm so sorry. Does that mean he's starting his tour now? I know precious little about military life, but that apology definitely seems inadequate.
DS has been clingy yesterday and today. Wants to be held at all times. Also has decided no Naps in the crib ever, only on me and occasionally on the bouncy chair. Weird because he sleeps in the crib all night
This is us! Naps in bassinet during the day do not happen, but night is fine. I don't get it either
Has anybody else been keeping up with a April the giraffe? I feel like she's been in labor for months, bless her heart.
She's been in labor since at LEAST when I was in labor. That's 5 weeks tomorrow :0 I haven't been keeping track of her but I heard she hasn't given birth yet. She has all my sympathies lol

Yes! I remember joking with my friend on my due date wondering who was going to have their baby first - me or April. 12 hours of labor was enough for me!
I did all the things today! Fed the baby and preschooler, worked from home for 3 hours, cleaned up, went to the movies with J and my mom, came home and made dinner, put the baby to bed, then cleaned up the house. Phew!
C's been sleeping okay. He gives us a long stretch from about 8 p.m. to midnight or as late as 2 a.m. sometimes. Then up and 3:30, and then at 6:30 he's up. If we went to bed at 8, we'd be golden LOL But we don't. When I go back to work I will though!!!
And C was so smiley today! It's cracking me up how big he can grin sometimes.

I think I am getting my period. At 5 weeks postpartum. My PP bleeding stopped like 5 days ago? and today I got these TERRIBLE menstrual cramps. And then just a few minutes ago, I started bleeding like a period. Is that even possible? Damn.
I feel like April the giraffe was supposed to be a F17 mama?! Poor lady.
I'm sick and wasted the morning at the doctor so that they could tell me I can treat my swollen glands, red throat, and itchy ears with... Mother F-ing tea and lozenges!!! Are there seriously no breastfeeding safe medicines for cold/flu? I wouldn't have gone in except that my toddler had something contagious that was treated with ABX. The rest of the day was okay though, and DS1 has been such a cutie lately helping with the baby. Now I'm off to make more tea.

So sorry littleredfish big hugs for you. Also more healthy vibes to the musicallyinclined household. What bad luck with the tire, too! I managed to make a healthy dinner tonight of which my toddler mostly approved and was also enjoyed by DH and my aunt and uncle who came over. Now if baby will stop gasping and smacking in her bassinet I'll call today a win.
