IUD saga update: with the assistance of an ultrasound and some pressure the IUD is in place. Hallelujah. If we have another baby, DH is getting a vasectomy.
musicallyinclined Yikes. Hope they can fix it! This makes me nervous for mine..
My first one was super easy. Apparently this time my cervical muscles were super tight and the OB met a lot of resistance and didn't want to damage anything. I also have "robust cervical veins".
She also said this was not common so I'm optimistic for yours to be easy!
I'm feeling pretty good today. Sabine slept from 11:30-5:30, then again from 6:30-9:30. A complete first and I lapped it up. Totally needed because G is having a very toddlery day. But A had a half day of school and she watched the two littles while I went to get us lunch from our favorite cafe downtown. So yummy.
Hoping to get some yoga in today before I take A to her dad's. DH is going to be watching the littles while I'm gone, and I'm seriously contemplating detouring my route home so I can do a little clothes shopping. Need pants that fit!
musicallyinclined, that sounds horrific! Glad it's in and done, but good grief!
notagoddess, I am so sorry your OB pretty much blew off your concerns. I'm with flyinghorses6 on this one- seek a 2nd opinion. Pelvic floor issues are nothing to drag "your" feet about.
We have started walking every day! Hooray for light exercise! It really does help me feel less of a wreck. The only downside is that I am now constantly stinky and sweaty lol. I feel that I smell like armpit constantly no matter how much deodorant I slather on. SETTLE DOWN HORMONES.
Last night was witching hour colic hell. Dear God. DS never did that. This LO is apparently hoping to be our final baby. Lol. She finally knocked out around 10pm on my shoulder and I refused to move until like 1am because I was afraid to disrupt her.

cosmicav I'm also stinky all the time. My armpits stink when I get out of the shower. I was like this after I had C too. I wish I could remember how long it lasted the first time.

Total side note: Grey's Anatomy killed me this week. Twenty minutes of sobbing. That episode seemed unnecessarily sad. Idk if anyone watches but holy smokes.

loves2shop4shoes it's amazing how since becoming a mom I leave the house in a manner I never would have acceptable - leggings, baggy Ts, hair a mess, no makeup...I just have zero cares these days.
I never used to leave the house with messy hair and little to no makeup, but ever since having DS, those things are less of a priority. Some days I'm just happy we get out the door without forgetting something.
+1. Remembering essentials is way more important, though I've never been one to fuss over my appearance when I leave the house.
flyinghorses6, I agree completely about not understanding. Am I really supposed to deal with pelvic floor weakness, without doing anything to improve it, for the year plus I plan on BFing? Why wouldn't I do something to try to fix it if help is available? It's not like this is a neutral issue for most women: it's obviously upsetting.
I plan on getting back to light exercise in a few more days. Hopefully it won't cause further pain.
Based on no research and no medical expertise, I call bullshite. My physical therapist said on Wednesday that he was reallu glad to see me as soon as I was cleared for activity because everything is still malleable, so it will be easier to reverse the structural and muscular changes brought on by pregnancy.

Yes. So freaking sad.
I was not anticipating all that to happen this week. Grey's is such an emotional workout.

I watch, but haven't seen this week. By your reaction, I think I know what happened and if I'm right that sucks. Shonda needs to write some happy episodes! I miss the light-heartedness that went with the drama in the early seasons. It's almost completely missing now.SaveSave

Yes.
And there are too many characters right now, so none of them have good storylines and there's no continuity.
I'm not going to quit Grey's, but I miss the early years. Same with scandal.

Not eager to repeat that. :[
Condolences. This was my DS as a baby. He always conked out on my shoulder at 10:00 or 10:30, and then we got 4ish hours of sleep out of him.

Another Greys fan. Actually got to watch it on Thursday! Half the time we DVR and I watch next day.

Glad to hear so many people are able to get in at least a little exercise. I got out and about with the stroller and had lunch at Chipotle. Weather is nice today. Getting some exercise feels good.
I have been having days where I do nothing then days where I get ALL THE THINGS done. There is no in between apparently.
Today I meal planned, grocery shopped, prepped dinner, sorted and started the laundry, worked out and emptied the dishwasher. Yesterday I did nothing but watch TV.
Has anyone been watching The Arrangement on E? I watched the most recent wo episodes yesterday and I am really liking it a lot. I like the actress who is starring in it, she's been in recent episodes of The Walking Dead too.

Grey's is one show I insist on watching live. I think one hour a week is not too much to ask.
I got used to never watching same night because I was in a vball league that played that night and now my KI1 has a severe fear of doctors. So can't watch when she can see it.

The pedi wanted us to call and update him, and when we told Him about the cough he had us comeback in. DS2 definitely has an ear infection. I'm just so happy it is something we can treat. He still sounds awful but the pedi said his lungs are still clear.
Collectively we've been to the doctor 9 times this week. Oh and we got a flat tire today!
There's enough drama in our week to sustain even Shonda Rhimes.
We had an awesome day at my dad's. She met a bunch of family members, didn't fuss too much and slept on the way home. I'm wearing her now and she's conked out so I'm enjoying the snuggles

@preppy I've been watching it. It's totally a take on the whole Tom cruise/Katie Holmes relationship right?
I also can't quite Greys even though I don't actually like it all that much these days. I'm a few episodes behind. I took a while off this year during one of the pregnancy scare storylines. As an IF girl I was so frustrated with how they were handling pregnancies given that the characters in question are doctors and likely well into their 40s by now.
Bless DH's heart, I passed out on the couch for almost three hours this afternoon. It was a waste of a day but clearly I needed it.

I'll come back and read and catch up. My attention span is lacking right now. DH just got called to fly out tomorrow morning. Fuck them. I was having a great day, out in the woods with my kids, enjoying the weather, then come home to him rapid fire packing. But the clerk called to apologize to me, so I guess it's fine then.
