I'm going to be bald my hair is falling out in chunks. So much hair everywhere and I'm not used to it. I can't touch my hair without strands getting caught in my fingers.

GM
The nurse at the OBs office woke me up abnormally early and I'm grumpy about it (early for me - sorry y'all). I failed my one hour glucose and have to go do the three hour. Same thing happened with DS. I'm annoyed because since I wasn't expecting the test yesterday, I downed a sweet tea with added peach sweetener from DD before my appt. Then I also had the orange drink. And then she further informed me they lowered the passing score from 140 to 130, so, I had no chance.
Trying to figure out if taking DS with me is the worst idea. DH can't stay home at all next week and I have to be there so early I can't really drop him off with anyone.
That sucks you have to do the 3 hour. My OB still does the 1 hour but I heard a lot of places going to the 2 hour so there's no repeat test. I hope you pass. I would probably take A. He's pretty tame as long as you took some toys with you.
Ugh that sucks sstwinklinglites did they just throw the test on you in the office? I needed the advance warning/self scheduling so I could be extra careful.
Y'all I got hit hard and suddenly with the pregnancy hormones in the last couple of days. Maybe lack of sleep made it worse. Last night H mentioned going to lay down in bed when I was sitting on the couch and I bust out in tears because I wanted to watch a show together. Uhhh
In better news, got unisom and slept beautifully last night. I feel so much better.

Yep, they were like, time for the GD test, drink this.

Boo. How many weeks are you? I think I had to do this around 27 so the results would be back in time for my standard appt at 28 weeks, but they gave me the drink at the 24 week appt and then I had to schedule with an outside lab.

This would annoy me, because usually my appointments take like 20 minutes tops, and I would want a warning if I was going to have to sit around for an hour. Did they tell you what your number was?
I would take A with you to the 3-hour test. In between the blood draws, you'll be able to play with him and stuff.

I'm sorry, this is me too. There's always a hair/hairs on me. I started using a lint roller to get hair off my shirt and arms.

MyChart shows the results, so I saw before I spoke to the nurse (I didn't answer when she called originally) - I got a 149, so I failed by 19 points, which seems like a lot, but since the passing score used to be 140, instead of just labeling me with GD, I get to do the three hour.

If you're in a pinch, I'm home Monday and Friday I just need advance notice to move calls etc.

I don't think 19 points is really a lot. I got to skip the 3-hour because mine was over 200 this time. Last time I only failed by 1 point, but still failed the 3-hour. And there were lots of people on the BMB at the time who failed the 1-hour by more, but passed the 3-hour. So there's kind of no telling at this point.

Ok, knowing your numbers make mine not sound bad. IIRC, I failed by one point last time as well, then when I did the three hour my sugar was so low they called to make sure I was eating before I passed out. I'm like, way ahead you, ate all the carbs already. I'm hopeful I'll pass again, it's just an annoyance... not as bad as actually having to do the diet of course.
I can't wait to get through with work. People always seem to wait to ask their most complicated questions or need help with their emergency situations on Fridays.
My parents are picking the kids up from daycare. They will be so surprised. My dad texted - can we just pick any baby or does it have to be G, lol! It's not the cabbage patch dad!
becole I think there's something to your theory- people put off doing things til the end of the week, and then are like crap i better call today before they're closed over the weekend.
Who does everyone use for cell phone providers, and what's your bill for 2 adults like?
We have sprint and it's $160- grandfathered plan with unlimited data and minutes, except there's some limit for calling landlines. But this seems high to me.

Sadly that's what we paid for only 8 GB but we just threatened to leave Verizon and got bumped to Unlimited for $185 a month cell phones are so damn expensive

We pay about $150 on a grandfathered Sprint account for two lines with unlimited everything, no limits of any kind. Unlimited data is a must for us, so for the going rates these days, we've stayed with Sprint.
lindsay, we have Verizon and pay a little over $200/mo for two smart phones with shared 10GB of data. But that includes monthly payments for both our phones, which are both on the expensive side. If we had paid for our phones outright, it would be more like $150 I think.
babylove518 I feel like we already use wifi a ton, so maybe unlimited data isn't a big deal...
Idk how much truth is to this, but I heard the average person only uses 1-2gb of data per month. We have 6gb on our plan with 6 people and we very rarely go over. The hardest part is if I'm in the car for a long period of time (like traveling) and want to be on my phone, or play Pandora or something. But what we've done in the past is up our usage for that month if we know we are going on a trip or something.

What's your average usage? Our average was 8 GB per month ... most data during the day at work since no WiFi at work. Then on weekends. Plus A now likes her tablet so she uses Hotspot data. We also use GPS and music for walks etc.

You can check your monthly usage online. DH & I combined use more than 6GB a month. We use WiFi at home, but don't use public WiFi because I've heard a lot that it's very easy for hackers to steal your personal info using those. We both use GPS on our phones as well, and DH is constantly checking stuff for work when he's on the road. I can live without unlimited minutes, because we rarely talk on the phone, but not unlimited data.
We have Verizon - around $185/ month and a giant amount of data (16gigs, I believe). Both of our iPhones are in there. We keep data low and up it as needed towards the end of the month. They send so many alerts as you're getting close to limits. sstwinklinglites I'm off Tuesday and Friday next week and I'm also happy to help with A if you want
I use my phone a lot for GPS and Pandora. DH has most of his music downloaded, but still manages to use more data than me every month. I think he lets DS watch YouTube on the phone in the car a lot. Usually I use 3-4GB, and he uses 5-6. I kinda think it's something about the iPhone also.
We do go over our 10GB sometimes. But there's almost always a reason we can pinpoint when we go over. Like if we're traveling and using our phones in the car for hours, or sometimes my phone acts up and I turn my wifi off and forget to turn it back on at home. And sometimes we let DS watch YouTube on the phones, but we're trying to limit that. Video takes a ton of data. I have been considering switching to unlimited, which would be about $30 more, but DH doesn't want to spend any more. When we go over, it's $15 extra for 1GB, and we've never gone over by more than 1, so I'm hesitant to pay $30 extra if we won't really use it most months.
