Today began at 2:30 am when my smoke alarm started screeching "fire, fire." It stopped quickly on its own and did not trigger the other 14 alarms in the house but it was enough to freak me out so that I could not fall back to sleep. Just got home from my niece's Baptism. I need to grocery shop and get organized for my trip to California that is coming the end of the week.
And more naptime poop. At least he was dry this time, which made clean-up easier. But Col feels horrible. And DH was being obnoxious again and now he's just pissed because I told him to drop it. Yay weekend.

JoeLies don't let him make him feel bad for having an accident. Cadence still has accidents at school and we just live by the mantra, "accidents happen". You don't want C to get stressed about the potty, especially if it is happening during sleep times. It could stress him out so much he stops sleeping for fear he will go while asleep.

That sounds like a cruel joke. No fire I assume? Where are you going in California?
No fire, thank God. We have an air freshener that sprays every few minutes on top of a cabinet in that room. My guess is the spray got in it. We have a wedding in Temecula. Our first kid-free trip in 10 years.

DH keeps harping on him allegedly being trained by 2. Well same here but it was a different generation and we spent all our time with our Moms. Colin spends nights and weekends with us but is at school in an entirely different environment during the week. That absolutely has an impact.
X woke up a lot last night, but not as much as the night before and sometimes was content with just some shushing, so definitely separation anxiety but hopefully he'll get better quickly if he realizes we're responding.

That sounds miserable wedding. I hope you get some relief soon.
JoeLies C is doing great and accidents do still happen. M didn't have an actual accident, but we left his pull-up on after his nap and at some point, he came to me and said he had poop in his diaper. He usually will still make the effort to go potty if we leave it on after nap, so I guess today he wanted to do it for old time sake. Kids, man.
I'm sorry, wedding. FWIW I don't think you're being a whimp. We have to function and worry about all these adult things, kids just need to lie around until they feel better so it's automatically worse anyway.
