I'll go back and catch up then, but regarding "sleep training" (of which cio is an option), I don't think anyone recommends that for babies this young. I don't generally do a lot of research on parenting methods, but there were a lot of things I learned about baby sleep (when I started researching out of desperation when DS was 5.5/6 months old and we were cosleeping because he literally would not sleep without me at night or during the day) that I wished I had known a lot earlier. You can't spoil a newborn, so I wouldn't worry about holding your baby for a few naps, but once baby is 3/4 months old, establishing good sleep habits becomes a little more important if you're going to want to do it eventually.
I love the website preciouslittlesleep.com. She's humorous, well-researched, and she also has a Facebook group if you want more guidance. It was really helpful when I was getting DS out of my bed. I still fed him 2 times a night for a month or two - he started sleeping through the night at 9-ish months without any encouragement on my part.

littleredfish, I'm sorry your ILs are worthless with the kids in that situation. I'm getting a lot of "one day at a time!" and "you'll make it!" type crap advice at church and I'm starting to just ignore people. It's hard when that's family, though.
I'm reading y'all's sleep reports and I'm like "I think I was up four times, maybe more? There were diapers and boobs and I'm still tired." My kiddo isn't even a month, yet, though.
I do let lo fuss a little. Is she really hungry? Is there something else that would soothe her? Is she just making sure I know she's still here? This is driven by my own need to not be a human pacifier.
I'll let E fuss a little, but if she's not taking a pacifier and it's the hungry cry, I save myself the 10+ minute scream and make the bottle.
We bought some Huggies Snug and Dry after S peed through yet another diaper this afternoon. I also remembered we have a box of size 2s that H opened by accident, so we'll try those as well. It's been at least 6 blowouts or leaky diapers in the past 2 days. I'm eager to find something that works.

I'm gonna need someone to talk me out of go to Dairy Queen for a blizzard. Has anyone seen their commercial recently for the blizzard of the month? It's a chocolate peanut butter thing with peanut butter cups and Reese's Pieces. Chocolate and Peanut Butter is my jam.

crazycatlady6, I'm sorry about your frustrating day yesterday. I hope today was better and that things improve on the husband front.
@jacks605, also sorry to hear about your H struggling. I hope he can get some help soon.
flyinghorses6, I'm sorry about your stressful dinner! I'm always catching things in fire when I grill them. Which is why H does all the grilling now. Lol

I got a new Fitbit for my birthday and I really like it! I used a Fitbit One for over two years before I lost it in November. This time I got the Fitbit Alta HR and it has some nice features. We walked today and it felt awesome to move around and meet my step goal. I hope my vag doesn't make me pay for it.

Diapers are weird. So far neither of my kids have been able to use huggies without leaks. I'm sad about this because 1) I have a package someone gave me that may never get used 2) I prefer Winnie the Pooh to Sesame Street
And DS is allergic to the elastic on target brand diapers. I'm glad we use cloth most of the time because keeping him in pampers would be $$
dancerspose we were using Pampers Swaddlers. I miss the indicator stripe.
Target brand have an indicator strip!
That's good to know! Several hours later and my husband is beyond frustrated with the lack of indicator strip. He's gone back to the leaky Pampers already.

Huh I'm surprised. I've been amazed at some of the explosions they've contained for us. I mean we still definitely have ones that go everywhere but nowhere near as many as you.

Eventually he indicator strip becomes superfluous because you just can tell.
monicageller I thought you were going to ask advice on which blizzard to get. In which case the mint Oreo one I got last week was amaze. Peanut butter is one of my weaknesses though so I may have to try that one tomorrow..

Update: I didn't go to DQ. Mostly because R was fussy, C was begging to play hockey, and the Blue Jackets (NHL) game was really exciting. But I'm already plotting to go to Kohls tomorrow and there is DQ acrossed the street, I'll probably accidently go through the drive thru without even meaning to. 😇

Sleep deprivation makes you do crazy things. (like when I went to Kohl's today to ONLY spend $25 kohl's cash and walked out with $75 of kids clothing plus a waffle maker.)
Ok, so L is still "up" but he's drowsy and I was able to eat dinner with no crying. I think the full bedtime and bath routine settled him enough that we got a reprieve on witching hour tonight. I'm going to try the crib again now.
Out of the leg holes. And it's just been the past two days, but we've each gotten (separately) pooped and peed on, plus several leaks/explosions that were contained by her onesies. H is convinced we bought a bad batch, but I'm not sure I'm willing to open another $35 box of diapers to find out. My theory is that S got bigger in the waist, so now the leg holes are too big.
We are careful to make sure that frilly bit is out around the legs, so it's not that 🤔
