Why aren't you guys putting bottles in the dishwasher?
I do put bottles in the dishwasher as well. We usually run them in the dishwasher every other day but I'm still forever washing bottles. We have 10 size 1 nipples so depending on the day we can use them all throughout the day. I try and not run the dishwasher with only bottles.
We put any dirty bottles in the dishwasher if we are going to run it, but we don't run it every day. Once I go back to work I'll delegate all bottle and pump part washing to my H. Highly recommend that arrangement.
Oh man I need to totally purge my closet too loves2shop4shoes! I have so many things from my pre-DD life that I was convinced I should save for when I was done having kids.... Um no. 99% of those things will never fit again and or are out of style and dingy looking. I need a major wardrobe refresh.
You guys. After sleeping 1 hr total at daycare yesterday, B did an 8 hr stretch last night. 8!! That's the best he's ever done by FAR. Guess he was totally exhausted. Please please be the start of something good.
shellbell Yes to the Easter thread! We need some more threads besides randoms. I was thinking about starting a healthy living check in once a week for physical and mental wellness.
I'm making the skinnytaste honey sesame chicken recipe @preppy posted the other week for dinner tonight. Excited to try it out!
Also - I need to not have meetings in my office anymore. I had a 9-10 this morning that ran over because of chitchat and I was literally screaming in my head "Get out! I need to pump!!!". Pumping really puts a cramp in my day. I'm already marking my calendar for next Jan when we can start introducing WCM for Bs bottles and I can go all office-space on my pump.

Like the idea of other check ins. Especially food related ones. DH and I started blue apron last week and that's been going really well.
ellabee, pumping takes over my life and actually gives me less time to spend with the baby. I definitely think I'm going to start trying to wean soon.
ellabee, @ musicallyinclined, highly recommend the wardrobe purges. I also have a hard time letting clothes go. I had some things in my closet from freshman year of college. 😳
But I'm at the point that I only want things that fit me well and are of good quality. If there are holes or pills or major armpit discolorations, I shouldn't be wearing them.
FFS, over the weekend DH and I were at BJ's and some lady was talking to us about daycare costs (she overheard our conversation)... and she was saying "oh well you know, you could use a. Voucher..."
After the conversation was over I turn to DH and said "yeah it's definitely time for a new clothes if people automatically assume we are on welfare."
We paid 33% in taxes last year. We do not qualify for childcare vouchers. 😳
I tried on a few things, and could make a few dresses work, but only one is nursing friendly and the others are short. Psoriasis can suck it.
loves2shop4shoes - When I was pregnant, I purged my closet of anything old, pilly, worn, and/or I hadn't worn in ages and it was glorious! So nice not to be bogged down with crap in my closet! Enjoy the space!

musicallyinclined I hope lo feels better asap! I am also Teri le at getting rid of clothes. I always thimk that I may want something like it in the future and will be mad if I need to go out and buy it. Spoiler: I still never wear said item.
Update on my DQ craving. We had a rough night with R last night. So I finally decided to put him in the car around 9pm to go to DQ hoping it would calm him down. Their website did they were open until 9:30, well I got there around 9:10 and they were closed. 😡😤 so I got a milkshake from mcdonalds. I will go to DQ during the day today! But now I regret that milkshake. 😳

I made that again on Sunday! I added extra sriacha and it was so good!

I wash bottles 2-3x a day. They don't go in the dishwasher often since it takes a few days for us to fully load a dishwasher.
TMI - my vag hates me. I hate it. Sex is out for a long while still.
Just finished up with a PT Eval for R since he has torticollis. They recommend twice a week along with exercises since he heavily favors his right side. Blah, I hate that he needs therapy so early in his life.
Today is also day 2 of EFF. I forgot to pump once yesterday and my boobs are not protesting so I'm going with it. I'm still trying to sort through emotions about it, I thought there would be struggles with BF, but not with lack of milk production. My boobs are just about pre-pregnancy size so I can still wear all of my bras.
On bottle washing, I only do it once a day. We have 9 bottles and 8 gets us through. I wash by hand because our dishwasher cycles are kind of long and I hate overlap (having bottles both in the machine and in the sink). I'm not terribly fussed by it, though.
I did the closet purge a few weeks ago and it felt great to get it done, but now I'm desperately in need of shopping. Can't stand to keep wearing the same 4 things. I like the idea of a signature look or a capsule wardrobe and that's where I'm stuck. I can't decide what really looks best on me over a range of scenarios. And I hate shopping.
I like the thought of more threads here, too. Something fitness oriented would be really motivating. And food. Because, food.
Here's a question: if you had to cram a high intensity workout into one song, what would it be?
I have a full wardrobe of music performance clothing, ranging from black suits to ball gowns. I'm not ready to give those up because I'm not ready to give up on having professional music opportunities.
I have a full wardrobe of professional clothing. I am not ready to give those up because I am not ready to say I'm never going to teach full time again.
I have a full wardrobe of casual clothes because SAHM and catholic school teacher where khakis are about as dressy as it gets.

Add me to the need to closet purge. I have clothes in there that I was wearing in high school.
And gosh, I haven't even thought about an Easter dress! I'm hung up on needing a BF friendly wife-of-the-best-man dress for a wedding in May. DS1 is also the ring bearer so I there's gonna be lots of pictures. I want to be so fancy, but I'm also so stuck and am dreading the inevitable milk leaks on it.

I feel like I'm constantly purging my closet. I think I've kept everything I've ever worn. So I go through my clothes every year and get rid of stuff I never wore during that season. I think I'm on my way to getting rid of everything that doesn't fit or is worn out.

Btw, I have like 3 of those lands end dresses. I love them. I need to see if they fit so I can wear one for Easter. They're great for breastfeeding purposes.

Re: bottle washing, we kept half the sink filled with hot soapy water with DD1 and washed everything at once at the end of the day. It became part of our going to bed ritual. The sink was completely full with bottle feeding and pumping gear. I guess the thing was to have enough bottles to get through one whole day. As far as getting rid of clothes, I also have a hard time getting rid of even old stuff. I trick myself by bagging all the clothes that I haven't worn in a year and hiding them out of sight in the back of the closet. I promise myself I can keep anything out of the bag if I actually miss and want to wear it. After a few months we donate the bag without looking in it again. I have never put anything in a donation bag that came back out. It's been tough catching up here this week. Seems like every time I read a few posts, something happens to drag me away! Happy Tuesday at least
We got a baby brezza bottle washer. I have anxiety about not having enough bottles. We have 8. I have 2 sample bottles as a backup too (not Dr browns though).
