Congrats Aunt LizInFL! Your sister must be so excited!
Ok universe, it is time you leave sweet nam2013 and her kiddos alone. Let her have some peace! I'm sorry about the chickenpox and I hope your DD doesn't catch it.
omg. This video just popped up on facebook of this tool that removes blackheads. So disgusting but so satisfying to watch. I can't look away. And I want it.
I know which one you're talking about and I'm thinking of buying it!

Hi! Another busy day at work. They were predicting bad weather today so schools were closed and MH and M were home. We also got out early this afternoon because it's supposed to be the worst between 5-8. It's sunny outside, but the air feels weird. We're under tornado watch until 9pm.
M still has his fever, but is otherwise acting fine. He has a little cough throughout the day, so I'm guessing it is what he had back in January. Trying to keep him hydrated and hoping the fever breaks soon.
Yesterday after we got home, we found a turtle in our back yard. M has taken to it and named him Bubbles. He wanted to put him in his water table- lol. I was going to go get him a little plastic pool, but I think we'll just go return him to the retention pond in our neighborhood. Not sure how M will feel about that, though😕.

Sorry about the chickenpox nam2013. I hope he doesn't get too uncomfortable.
kim22, enjoy your trip! I just had my first kid free one in Feb and I was so anxious before it too. But it was great, my kids we're fine (and having the time of their lives w the gparents spoiling them). We FaceTimed every night which helped.

I feel the same yummeecookee! Those types of videos pop up all the time on my IG as "sponsored" and I scroll past them so quick. Do not want to watch anyone else pick their face😖. I do like getting my own blackheads though... so I guess I'm only a little weird. Lol
Holy shit at your after pic, kim22! You look amazing. And you can totally do this, you DESERVE this.
We'll actually be spending a couple days in Temecula before my conference next month. When we leave the boys for 10 days. And 9 nights. Have I mentioned that Chase hasn't weaned 100% yet? LOL. I'm sure it'll be fine.
lahdeedah88 cute about the turtle! Just make sure it isn't a snapping turtle. We found a baby one last year but returned it quickly.
73jewels is he having accidents when he doesn't go in the potty or just holding it? If he is holding, I say that is good progress.
We haven't gotten rid of the diapers yet. So he's just still going in the diaper. I had been hoping to have him peeing at least a little on the potty before ditching them. But no such luck.

Sunny41 It's not a snapping turtle. I'm pretty familiar with those being from south Lousiana. He's full size. We returned him to the retention pond this evening. M was ok about taking him back to his "home". I'm still not sure how he wandered into our fenced in back yard. I checked the perimeter and I didn't see any big enough openings, but he got in somehow.
The drive to drop B off with my sister went well. On the way there I had a variety of weather: dark and rainy to bright and sunny. All together not too bad.
My niece is having a hard time with the loss of her brother. My sister told her this afternoon and it must have hit her this evening because she was crying and told her that her heart was broken. Poor girl.
Following up on the boob talk from yesterday, here is a pic of a feat of engineering. Pete and I always joke that if we ever need a parachute we'll just use my bra. The cups are bigger than my head.
lahdeedah88 might have been a girl turtle looking for a place to lay her eggs. Look around your yard for freshly moved dirt. I wouldn't disturb it, just watch it, you may have baby turtles in your yard after awhile.
@trtlczy maybe tell your sister/niece about the balloons to say hi thing? She could draw pictures or little notes to attach since she's a little older.
I have a friend who passed away a few years ago leaving behind a 5 and 3 year old. Her H had them draw pics and write notes and attach them to balloons and release them to 'mommy'. He told them they could do this whenever they wanted and for the first few weeks they did it fairly regularly. They now do this every Mother's Day and it seems to help.

kim22 & Sunny41 yes we both had it as kids. I know weird right about the vaccine. I guess they figured that you don't get really ill, it doesn't have big consequences/side effects later in live and if you've had it you'll never get it again, was reason enough not to do a nation wide vaccine 🤔.
The only thing is that once you get chicken pox then you have the shingles virus in you which appears sometime in adulthood usually.

Exactly, and complications from shingles aren't pretty.
I'll be getting the the shingles vaccine once I'm old enough.

That's a good idea, thanks.
Check that it is ok in their area to release balloons if they do this. I'm pretty sure in some places it is not ok because they get tangled in power lines, eaten/entangled by animals causing them harm, etc.
