Despite Rs congestion and cold last night was much better. She did a 3, 3.5, 1, 2 hour night. She sounds bad; but she seemed to sleep pretty well. Instead of the gym today I took a 90 minute nap while DH handled both babes. Of course R napped an hour+ for him. I'm glad she rested but he always seems to have it so easy.
Except last night when he said he would come home and cook dinner while I worked out. Well let's say we got delivery.
I'm thinking of doing a target run this afternoon, but it's always a gamble with the toddler. We are outside right now because she is so hyper and stir crazy. It's like 35 degrees and there's not a drop of sun. But I see some 60s and even 70s on the forecast.

4am wake-ups seem to be here to stay, booo. Z also was up from 7pm until after 11 last night, screaming a good portion of the time. So, fun night all around. We.re also on outfit #3 of the day after two consecutive diaper blowouts at 4:30 and 8:30am.
DH seems determined to kick me out of the house for a while this afternoon. So, hopefully I'll go to the gym after my next pump then home to shower and after maybe go return a bunch of stuff/browse at Nordstrom rack.
That's ambitious, though, on about 5 hours of sleep so we'll see.
We just came back from the pedi. She got her shots (I managed to not cry!!! Though I did come pretty close). Now we're chilling at home. She's loving her swing right now (that usually doesn't happen) so I'm prepping bottles for the day and catching up on my online reading
She barely slept last night. It was horrible. I'm so tired but I need to go to Target later. I'm praying for a good afternoon.
flyinghorses6, I love my k'tan for trips out because I can put it on before I get into the car and pop her in when I get there. It's quick when I need it to be quick. But otherwise I like my wrap better because I can tie it differently for more back support.

May I just state for the record that the stupid nose frida thing is a life saver right now. I got it for K, never used it because I thought it was gross....but using it with R and it is literally amazing.

We just left my 6 week pp appointment. All looks good and I made my iud appointment too. My doctor did tell me that she's moving in June She delivered both babies so I'll miss her!
Finally got our pictures back! So I'm going to AW. PDQ.
Also DD was playing at her kitchen yesterday and then I turn around and find her like this. This kid is too much.

Last night didn't start great but at his 3am wake up he had a super thick poo so that was probably the issue. Anyway I let him sleep in bed with me all night, I'm picking my battles at this point and I figure as long as I make an effort to get him in his PnP each night, some nights he will and some he won't but I need to be able to function. If I lose the battle of the PnP I'll still be able to win the war against my 3 monsters.
@flying horses the K'tan is so practical but I wish it had more back support. I have to pull the shoulder rails over really thick to get any support which really limits my arm movements. I prefer my Moby and so does DS I think. He falls asleep faster in it.
Today was calling for rain but it's sunny. So debating getting out today for fresh air and leaving my house in a state of disaster for one more day. It's just me here now, so what adults do I have to impress? As long as I keep the dishes and laundry train going and I can live with taking dishes out of the dishwasher instead of the cupboard and clothes out of the dryer instead of the closet. I usually get to an OCD point where I can't take it and need things in their place, but I feel today is not that day.

Beautiful wrap and wrap job notagoddess ! How is it tied? I'm trying to experiment with new ways to wrap.
It's a front wrap cross carry, but I tied the ends in the front. It's actually harder to do on this wrap because it's quite wide and a little shorter than the one I practiced on. But I like tying it in the front -- it feels more supportive and there's no hard knot pressing on my back when I'm sitting down.

Woke up with a fever. Turns out I have a sinus infection. Got a steroid shot and antibiotics. No nursing for 24 hours. Blergh.
Aside from that it's a beautiful day and DS2 is coughing less. Hoping that means less coughing tonight because his parents are over watching him helplessly cough for extended periods of time. DH is taking me to lunch since I'm pathetic and sick.
Got my 3 month hand me down baby clothes sorted and even have them in the washing machine. Either this afternoon or tomorrow gonna swap out closet filled with newborn.

Baby and I are sitting outside while DS naps in the car. It's a beautiful day. We went to a gathering of our friends from church and they did an egg hunt. DS totally didn't get it and threw the eggs instead of putting them in his basket lol. But it was nice to have some time with adults and have my arms free since people wanted to hold baby.
I think we're going to stay outside as long as possible. Back to cold and rainy tomorrow.
musicallyinclined who told you not to nurse for 24 hours? I'm asking because an urgent care doc told me the same thing, but my OB, LC, pharmacist, and pedi all said it was fine. I'm sure there are situations where nursing isn't advised, but I know there are also clueless docs.
ETA I'm sorry you're sick and hope you feel better soon!

My baby is a month old today! What?
I managed not one, not two, but FOUR stops with the toddler and the baby today. It did involve bfing in the car and diaper changes in the front seat, but we got stuff done and I feel good about that.
I'm struggling with ppd/ppa something. My increased meds are helping, but idk if they're enough.
