We had a milestone event today: first bee sting. He was in the yard eating an apple and picking dandelions, and a bee somehow got under his shirt sleeve and stung his upper arm. He screamed like I have never heard before.
I've been stung a few times and it hurts like a MFer. I got stung once when I was like... six or seven maybe? I remember it being so effing painful and I couldn't stop screaming. I get a big rash that grows and grows from the sting spot and it itches. Hope it wasn't so bad for him and he's ok.
I already took five days of z pack. And I don't think they'll prescribe something if it's just a cough. I have an appt. Tue. so we'll see if I'm doing better or worse by then.
Ugh. I had a nasty cough too at end of pregnancy and when I had C, it was pretty miserable. I pounded water and took mucinex. Also a steam inhaler thing helped. But it honestly just took time to clear, probably weeks. Sorry
I have like a post nasal thing happening or something and water tastes like crap. It makes me nauseous. And of course, all I want is to drink water.

The silver lining is that now we know how he reacts to a sting and it seemed mild compared top what you describe. It swelled up to maybe the size of a dime. I just felt bad because I have only been stung once and it was 20+ years ago so I don't really remember it, and I really didn't know what to do for him. I had to pull the stinger out, and then I put some ice on it. He asked for a "popsicle to make me feel better" but then he finished it and said "mom, it didn't work to feel better cuz it still kinda hurts." Poor kid. H suggested some cortizone cream, so we tried that, but I have no idea if it helped.

You just can't catch a break. Hope you can kick it soon. I'm about to go back on allergy meds for the season as soon as I get the OK from my doctor.

I got stung in Oct. when we went to the pumpkin patch. I iced it and took Benadryl. It hurt for like a day. Basically until the swelling went down.

This pregnancy has really sucked between the morning sickness, the reflux, and all the illness that I can't treat like I usually would. I feel that since hitting 20 wks. time is traveling at a snails pace. I can't believe I still have 12 - 13 more weeks. With babe I never felt like, I'm so ready for this kid to come out. And I already feel that way with this one.

Yup. Second pregnancy is worse than the first. I'm imagining a third is awful.
