Happy Friday! Who's got today off? Big plans for the weekend?

Not only was DS up a bunch of time. He decided 515 was a good time to wake up for the day. Poor kid has been very cranky the last couple days. Add us to the poop problem group. He hasn't gone since Tuesday morning. He usually goes every day. That damn banana my mom fed him. His gums seems to be bothering him as well but I don't really see other signs that a tooth is about to pop through.

DH is off today and my brother arrives tonight. We're having some people over for appies and a games night tonight so I need to clean the house and go grocery shopping.

Tomorrow we're going to the wave pool. Sunday will be Easter brunch with my family.

Even though I work today, many businesses and schools have the day off. I treated this morning like my day off too and made myself chocolate chip pancakes (something I usually keep to the weekends or vacation). Will probably stop for a coffee on the way into work to further treat myself for no good reason.

I am off today, but I'm always off on Fridays. We had a terrible night with DS. Around 9pm he got a horrible spinal headache. Screaming, crying, needed to be laying down not moving and in the dark. It was awful and absolutely heartbreaking to see him like that. Today, he was up at 5am with another one. I'm hoping as the day goes they start to go away. It's so hard to keep a two year old laying down the majority of the day. DH is working, but he said if DS is really tough he would come home. So far it's been ok. I might break out the pack n play for DD so she can hang in that in the playroom with us. Keep her contained so I can tend to DS. I'm supposed to do work today too, but I think I might just have my boss put me in for sick time.

We're meeting some friends at the mall to see the Easter bunny. I don't have any expectations of pictures, more just going for something to do. Dd2 was up even more than normal last night and not easy to settle like normal. Not sure what that was all about.

DH is off today! He's currently applying for his parental benefits. He doesn't know it yet, but he's going to be primary caregiver today so I can get shit done around the house while I feel decent. My floors need some intense TLC.

I'm at work. My DCP asked if I would be bringing the kids and I almost had a wicked witch laugh like "you better believe I am!" Should be a pretty busy work day as well, which hopefully will make it go by quickly.

Just sitting at work enjoying my hazelnut mocha. I think I'll plan Easter dinner and make out a grocery list now...then I'll get to work.

I'm off today! The boys and I are at Dunkin getting breakfast and then we have some errands to run. G's six month appointment is this afternoon. It's really nice out so I'm going to try to get them outside to play later.

I had to go inside the paper's office yesterday. I saw my editor and he asked me how the visit with my family went the day before. I apologized to him for backing out and told him about the stories I'm working on. His response was, "I can still send you assignments, right?". He told me my stories are really good. I remembered after we went outside I wanted to ask him about my pay so I went back inside. He told me I'll get paid bi-weekly and I get the most for my articles ($25-$30) because they are long.

So my first check in almost 4 years should come next week!!!

I'm off. But am also usually "off" on fridays. I do typically still work half the day but won't be doing that today. As soon as C is ready for her nap, we are going to hit the road and drive to my inlaws. Family pics tomorrow evening with 4 kids 4 and under. And then Easter on Sunday.

We have in-service because the kids have today off. All the district teachers are at a high school listening to a speaker. For 3 hours. I'm so glad I got to take my pump break, I was falling asleep.

My old job was boring and I mostly hated it, but I miss the ability to meal plan, make lists and shop online. I had so much down time.

I didn't know that today was a holiday that people got off. I'm clearly at work.

I went out with some girlfriends after work yesterday. DH picked up both kids from school, did dinner and put them both down. I got home around 10:30 pm. It was lovely. That's the first night I didn't nurse H to sleep. I got in bed around 11pm and I swear he smelt me - he immediately started cranking. I hadn't seen him since 7 am so I scooped him up and we had a little nursing session. It was just so nice to get out.

Hi all! I forgot it was Good Friday. I wonder if we'll be able to leave work early today...that'd be nice. We're supposed to get the spring pics back this afternoon at daycare, I'm interested to see how they turned out (only DS2 and DD participated). They gave me a super cute Easter magnet frame with a pic of DD in it this morning - I need to post the pic, it made me laugh.

Had a chaotic morning so far with more interviews but now things are settling and I don't have much to do for the rest of the day, work-wise. I may run by Target at lunch, I want to buy a new umbrella for our patio furniture and they have the CUTEST pineapple patterned one, and cartwheel has 30% off umbrellas. It might be the perfect storm

DH has a game tonight so I might pick up the kiddos, grab them some happy meals, and let them have tablet time tonight b/c it's Friday and I am DONE with this week. We have an egg hunt at the IL's tomorrow, and then church and Easter lunch with my side of the family Sunday. Busy weekend!

Thanks guys. So far, aside from 5am, we have only had one other episode. He is being such a good boy when he is feeling good. I think DD got the message too, as she has been sleeping for her nap for an hour and a half now🙌🏻

Oh adouces06, that just sounds heartbreaking! I hope he doesn't have anymore episodes.

I am supposed to be at work, but at 7:30am, DD2 slipped coming down the stairs and hurt her back. I knew the fall was bad just by the sound of it. She was also complaining that her chest hurt when she took breaths, so I took her to the ER. She has a small compression fracture of the thoracic vertebra, and possibly another smaller one above it. We're alternating a high dose of Motrin with Tylenol to manage pain and swelling and she just has to take it easy. I have to call the orthopedic specialist and make an appointment for a follow-up in a week.
