Happy birthday to the giraffe lol!! We were just doing some stuff out in the yard. So nice out today, and tomorrow is supposed to be super warm! Love it. My mom is coming to watch the girls so DH and I can go out. We're gonna get a late lunch and I have no idea what else. It'll just be nice to get out. Hope everyone has a nice Easter weekend!

I thought the 30 hours of labor with N was long. Hard pass to months of it.
We're on our way to my mom's. G woke up at 2:00 and 5:30, but only ate the second time. Then he slept until after 8. N woke up around 6:30 and snuggled with me. We have one more thing to get for N's basket, so we may try to sneak out once we get to my mom's house. My sister and her family are coming to mom's for Easter dinner tonight. Tomorrow we're going to my cousin's for dinner. My mom asked my sister if she would mind hosting, and my BIL said no, then said we could do dinner tomorrow at 6. Since we have a two hour drive, that was not going to work. Therefore, we get two Easter dinners. Much excite.
@kitchen We love the Ada Twist Scientist book. I want to get the others in the series for DD.
Putting DS down for a nap and when he wakes up we're going to the waterpark. DD is already bouncing off the walls excited. My brother is coming along as well.
No other plans today. House got cleaned yesterday and grocery shopping done so not sure what we'll end up doing.
I do need to finish our taxes but I'm procrastinating on that.

Currently sitting at the nail place getting a pedicure. DH let me sleep in too. After this we are heading to the IL's for an egg hunt and hanging out/dinner, also celebrating April birthdays - my SIL's was yesterday, my niece's is tomorrow and mine is in two weeks so we kind of lump them together.

Enjoying spending time at my inlaws house. It's so nice to have multiple options to watch the toddler. I almost feel like I have time to myself for once. Of course currently attached to a baby but still.
We have family photos at 5 today. Hoping those go well. And an egg hunt in a bit. Happy Easter weekend to all

So apparently now we're eating at my sister's tonight after all. She send me a text saying that their bedroom door will be closed and locked with no other explanation. I was all "umm..." She then says that's where their guns are. Oh. Okay, fine. I was like okay, but when are you telling me this? She was like, oh, dinner is here tonight. Then my mom called to see where we were and tell me that dinner was at my sister's. She said she thought she told me. It's not a big deal for me, but MH doesn't like going there because of my BIL. Oh well.
We are enjoying the beautiful day outside! DS is doing better. Still not a 100% but he seems to be feeling a lot better. Just trying to keep up with the Tylenol/Motrin schedule. I brought a PNP outside for DD, and she seems to really like being out in the fresh air (and it allows me to keep better eye on DS). Once the two nuggets go down for their naps, I got to get Easter outfits situated for all of us. I had gotten long sleeve stuff, but now it's supposed to be like 85* so I need to figure out something else.

I went to yoga this morning outside under the oak trees by the river. It has become my favorite thing to do. I asked my instructor for advice on managing the tension in my back and anxiety.
I had my worst anxiety attack, since getting put on medicine in December, last night. Mr. P told me to go to my room and do nothing, just try to breathe, and get it under control. He spotted me sprialing, probably because I started asking for the volume to be turned down and was clenching the broom tightly as I swept. Breathing is really hard for me to focus on so I'm going to try pairing yoga poses with my breathing.
It's 80 here! My in laws are visiting this weekend. My MIL brings delicious food for dinner (like cheesecake) and is currently doing my laundry and ironing while FIL mows our yard. I love when they visit.
I'm going to sneak in a little 13 reasons why during nap/quiet time. I at least did the dishes first.
penguin129 - I'm sorry about your anxiety attack. That must be so difficult to live with.
adouces06 - Glad to hear your DS is feeling better and you're able to enjoy this beautiful weather!
I just boiled some eggs for dying today. Every year I cook them and DH and the girls dye them. He's out raking up the yard and I'm waiting for him to come in so that I can paint the front doors. The guy we hired to paint the house was supposed to do it (paint the house) last week, but he had a kitchen remodel that took a lot longer than expected, so he's planning to come powerwash and prep on Monday, and then the weather will determine when he can actually start painting. I seriously can't wait for the house to be painted. I figured it's so nice out today, I may as well paint the front doors now. I chose a red color called Wild Current (Sherwin-Williams). The girls helping me at the store told me that color is one of the most popular front door colors that people buy. I must have good taste then. DH is not sold on having red front doors, but he told me he'll leave it up to me. Our house is going to need a pop of color and I think this will do the trick.
penguin129 I'm so sorry about the panic attack but focus on the fact that between you and your husband you were able to calm yourself down and stop from spiraling. It sounds like you are both figuring our what helps you in the moment.

jwinct we painted the front door red on our house before the current one and I loooooved it. Our house now is red brick and I don't think it would work

Thanks fem and jwinct. I know my anxiety isn't as bad as I've seen or heard some other people get, but it is still very new to me. I was hoping the low dose of celexa was enough and it would be situational (6 months) as I was diagnosed, but it is becoming very clear to me it is my new normal as Lil P will be 6 months next week and it is getting worse, not better.
I tried formula with DS2 this morning--he gagged and refused it, wailing. I then tried doing 50/50 with breastmilk. Tried, refused, more wailing. I was really hoping he would accept it since he's liked all the food he's tried so far. Would warming it up a bunch help? Using 75 bm/25 formula? I didnt try to give him the bottle and wasn't directly in the room when he tried.

penguin129 glad your husband recognized what was happening and helped you. I hope you find better ways to relax and increasing your dose may be part of the solution. Hugs, friend.
Hugs to you penguin129. I'm sorry yiuvhsd that panic attack last night. Have you tried any meditation apps? Might be helpful to throw one of those on when you sneak away to deal with it. iwantbacon I have noticed dd2 has a temperature preference so we warm ours. When we've tried cold, she turns her head every time.

iwantbacon we do warm bottles - and I don't think it would hurt to do minimal formula at first, kind of ease it in and transition. When I did that for DS1, we started with 75/25 (BM to FF), then 50/50, and so on. We'd do about a week at a time of each.

My yoga teacher suggested doing Oprah and Deepak Chopra's 21 day meditation challenge so I'm going to try that tonight.
Happy Easter! My girls were awake earlier than usual this morning, of course. So, all the eggs were found and we were eating candy by like 6:15am. Breakfast of champions. lol DS seems to really like his rainmaker toy the EB brought him, and so does my dog Lucy. She keeps pawing at it, but I think she thinks there's food in it. Ha!
DH just went to Lowes a little bit ago to buy all the fence panels for our backyard. I can't wait to actually put it up, but who knows when that will be. We have to see when my brother and BIL are available to help. Hopefully it won't be too long. I can't wait to have a fence that my dog can't climb over, plus it is going to look so much nicer that the ghetto fencing that is currently there.
We're going to my brother's ILs' house at noon for an egg hunt and then we're heading to my parents' house for Easter/birthday dinner to celebrate my nephews turning 14 and 15.

We're up early today too. Yesterday my toddler got into melatonin in my inlaws bedroom. According to poison control as long as she didn't get too oversedated not too big of a deal. Well she's fine but I'll let y'all guess how well our family photos went. Complete shit show would be a good guess. And this am the toddler is a nightmare. She is a complete emotional train wreck.
Ugh. DS has the stomach bug. He has been throwing up the last 2 hours. He finally seems to be feeling better, but now we can't go to my ILs for dinner. I'd feel awful if anyone else got sick. So, looks like a low key Easter around the house.

Oh no adouces06! Poor little guy can't catch a break.
N was up around 5, I think. It was very early. G slept until 6:45. N was very happy with the Easter bunny, especially the Day Out with Thomas tickets and race cars. We're heading to my cousin's now for dinner and then heading home. It is in the 80s here today; I'm very glad I bought the boys new outfits with shorts.
Dinner last night at my sister's was fun. N had a great time playing with his cousin, and my BIL was actually tolerable. They'll be at my cousin's today too, so it will be good to see them. Maybe we can try to get a pic of all the kids together. I definitely want a picture of the 4 of us, since the last one we took was at Christmas.
So go figure, he is totally fine now? Spent the morning laying down watching tv in between puke sessions. Managed to get down a cup of juice and a piece of toast, and he was suddenly better. He had a yogurt for breakfast prior to puking, so I am wondering if it was bad? I checked the date and it was fine, and it smelled ok so who knows. Regardless, he was sick long enough for us to have to cancel on my ILs. I guess we can just spend the day as a family and hang around the house!
adouces06- I'm sorry your DS was sick you had to miss Easter dinner. I'm glad his illness didn't last long. I hope you were able to enjoy your day despite that.
We had long, hot, busy, nice day. It was almost 90 degrees, which is insane, but we enjoyed the beautiful day. I felt so bad because DD2 couldn't run around or play games with her cousins because of her back, but she was a trooper and the older kids were all so good with her. My 14 year old nephew offered to be her egg hunt partner and walked around with her and helped her while all the other kids raced around; so sweet.
