I guess it's a good thing we didn't plan anything for Easter, because Bub woke up with a fever. So we're having a lazy day snuggling on the couch.
Aww poor kid can't catch a break! Hope he feels better soon
Meh, he's fine. He had a little bit of a cough, but other than that he was acting totally normal this morning. The only sign of illness is he actually took a nap without a fight.

Aww, feel better bub!
We did an Easter egg hunt this morning. Turns out my kid really loves Easter. She's crazy about the eggs and bunny. I'm excited for her to see her basket tomorrow. I got her a trolls blanket, rain boots, those Elmo bath tablets that turn the water colors, big girl underwear, and a couple other small things/candy and suckers.
We are probably going swimming at the Y after nap. She has been asking to go to the "water park" for a couple of weeks now.
We went to the zoo this morning. Almost home now. There's an egg hunt there at the zoo this afternoon but it looks crazy. It was empty this morning since we arrived when it was lightly raining and it stopped soon after.
We went to the community egg hunt this morning. We met W and his family there, so that was fun. Z stayed interested a lot longer than I thought he would. I saw some former coworkers, so really fun morning. Now to fight the grocery store crowds...wish me luck
We did an egg hunt at the park down the street. DD got a whole 5 eggs lol, but picked two dandelions in the process.
I've been running errands most of the afternoon so I'm wiped out.
Who is watching/watched 13 reasons why?!?! We're 6 episodes in and I can't wait to watch some more tonight!!!
So far no accidents yesterday or today! And today she got poop out in the potty! She has a lot of "I gotta go potty" moments when she has to poop (aka like 5 false alarms in a row every few minutes) so I'm hoping she can overcome that soon once she's more comfortable with pooping.
For the BWers- I found a Sakura Bloom RS for $20 at OUAC today. The price on the website for it is $180-200 for the same one. Is it bad I'm always thinking "resale $$" when I buy things?

lindsay, DD does that too. Says she has to potty a bunch of times when she has to poop, but doesn't go (until the very last min when it basically falls out of her lol). And yay for her doing so well So far this weekend! FX she keeps it up!
I want to start watching 13 reasons why. Its next on my list.

My MIL is constantly buying stuff with the same thing in mind. Not saying this is you, but she's a hoarder. She has several storage units packed to the max, her only spare room (its a two bedroom house) packed to the max, and things piled up randomly all over the house. She's always telling us she's selling things to stop paying for the storage units, but then she buys more because she's feels she can sell it for more.
I got a text RSVP from one of our new neighbors earlier today, but it didn't say who it was. I just replied like I knew and thought we'd figure out who it was when they showed up. LOL
Then a minute ago the same number called me and I ignored it because I was afraid they would think I knew who it was and would be awkward. Also bc I'm watching TV and just didn't feel like answering. The a second later DH's phone rang. I didn't warn him. He answered it and is having a really hard time getting off the phone with them now. LOL
Apparently it was the neighbor across the street asking if she could cut some blooms from our lilac bush. She said it hasn't bloomed in 5 years and she used to always get some from the old owners for her daughter's birthday and she was so disappointed when she thought it was dead.
... and then as soon as he hung up, she called me again, and I ignored it again.

Lol JoBub sometimes I'm anti-social like that with neighbors. Like I really don't want to talk to people sometimes. Twice during mat leave my neighbor across the street knocked on the door. Both times I answered the door and both times I was in a robe, she probably thought I lived in robes...I kinda did.
I just put the boys baskets out too. Not that it will be a surprise though since the big found them earlier this week and started digging through and passing out things to his brother. 🙄

H and I just hid the Easter eggs and put the baskets in the kids rooms. This weekend has been fun for me because I knew I overscheduled but was kind of okay with things not working out exactly. Yesterday we went to kings island and it was crazy crowded, so we did like 3 rides and headed home. The kids still had fun but they were exhausted from the week. Today we went to the reds game, but only sat in our seats for like an inning. It was just so hot so we walked around the stadium and eventually walked with the kids over to Smale instead. I think h had a harder time with it, but he is coming around to just rolling with it.

It's really hard when fun planned things don't go as planned. Lol. I've found as long as naps and sleep are in tact, I can pretty much do any outting and it will be okay. If we try to skip sleep to do something fun, it winds up being shitastic at some point. Kids are so happy with their baskets! The baby was up all night pooping though so I'm like 😴 x75. Why can't he choose nights before events to sttn?

I'm going to need anxiety meds for our cruise this fall cause I know we aren't going to be able to stick to her schedule like I'd like. I'm sure there will be naps skipped and bedtimes pushed back. I don't deal with that well. Lol
I babysat last night and she said they wouldn't be late, but I was there until 1230. I guess her idea of late and mine are 2 different things. So DH took DD to get me some coffee.

I dunno if it's all the illness, but DS for the last couples weeks hardly eats or drinks anything. He like will have a few bites just to satiate hunger then is done. Doesn't matter what we offer. Refuses to take any medication. And if he's eating something and suddenly decides he doesn't like it anymore, he spits it out then leaves his tongue hanging out until you clean every last bit of food off. I'm just so done with all the sickness. Done.

Yeah, that's late! IMO anything after 11 is late. Maybe that's my old lady side speaking.
Pretty sure Bub's fever is done. It's so odd how all his illnesses are just one day fevers with almost no other symptoms. Tylenol kept it down yesterday, but he felt really warm to me in the MOTN. But it was 99 this morning, and doesn't seem to have gone up. So if it doesn't break 100 again today, he's going back to school tomorrow.
He's napping now, and I heard him say, clear as day, "That's a big hole! Hey mom!" And I thought he was awake so I went in to see what big hole he was talking about and he was sound asleep. H says he talks in his sleep when he's feverish, so I hope this doesn't mean it's going back up.
