I really need chipotle to step up their game and install drive thrus at their restaurants.
This brought to you by the mom of a newborn who wants to place an online order to pick up but is dreading having to lug the car seat in their to get it.
You need Postmates!
But I agree, I'd like drive thru everything. Especially the grocery store - they need a "I just need..." drive thru for when I forget cheese/lemon/that the milk is expired/etc.

The cleaning lady is here. I love her. I also got a closet cleaned out for "Operation Get Rid of All the Things" so we can list our house in 6 weeks and have less to move when the time comes. I'm going to try to do one room per day until I go back to work in a few weeks. I'm counting our 2 storage closets as one room so I'm halfway done for today!
caer 😂This reminds me of when I was pregnant and I opened the fridge while baby-sitting my friend's 4 year old and she said "are you getting mommy juice?" Mommy juice = wine. 😂

Those drive-thrus you guys are wanting.. they used to have them in northwest Ohio... I thought they were hilarious. It was like they took barn-like buildings, opened the door at both ends, had the shelves on either side stocked and you'd just drive through...

They had them in southern Ohio too. I went to school in rural Ohio about 45 min from cinci. I miss this!

I, too, went to a school 45 min from Cincy....are you a Redhawk-skin?
Question about umbilical stump - it looks like it's starting to fall off. I'm not touching it until it completely falls off on its own, but the area underneath is raw and red still. Not sure what I expected, but all the medical people just said "it falls off in 1-2 weeks". What should I expect the area underneath to look like? Is it normal to still be a little bloody/wet/raw? Do I need to do anything special or just let it keep airing out?
mosdub many people and Drs will say different things, but I've always just left the stump and underneath alone as best I can and it will dry/heal within a day or 2. It's like when a scab starts to peel off and the underneath needs air (& time) to heal completely. As long as it doesn't look infected (oozing, smelling, etc) I wouldn't worry. If in doubt though, call the Dr! Dd2s stump just came off a few days ago! It was a bit raw underneath as it started to come off, but by the next morning it looked like a normal belly button.
Has anyone tried the new Free to Grow Tula? I'm a Lenny Lamb girl personally, but I wanted something like a ssc (instead of a wrap, I have a boba that I like but it's a lot of material to manage) so I broke down and bought one. I LOVE it! So easy to snap on quickly and pop a tiny baby into (they start at 7lbs).

mosdub DDs stump fell off before she was 2 weeks old, but the inside was still healing. You could see it still looked raw/moist inside. The pediatrician put some silver nitrate inside to help it heal completely, and she couldn't have a real bath until that happened.
I'm so confused about crying it out. DD suddenly won't sleep in her beds. If I leave her for 2ish minutes, she'll stop crying. Is it okay to let an 8 week old cry for 2 minutes?
ETA: I couldn't take it a full 2 min, so I put her stuffed Ernie in there. After 3 silent minutes, I went in to take him out (because safe sleep practices)
She is in there social smiling at Ernie! So cute. Eyes huge though.....

glb30 I think it's pretty normal for babies to fuss for a minute or two before settling down. It's totally fine to let them - I wouldn't consider that CIO. At this age, if they kept crying after a few minutes, I'd be taking more proactive measures to soothe them.
So after four hours of sleep I had to get up and go to a dealership today to talk about what to do with our lease. We bought it. But man was it a long day with the newborn and toddler
