First work "dry run" where I showered. Babies were up crying so didn't dry my hair. I am gonna now be that m that's running late all the time with a wet pony tail in.
I'm totally freaking out now about going back to work now. I feel like this morning the truck hit me. I havent been napping but do sleep in while on leave and the last two weeks I've been getting up earlier. I'm a bitch now since routinely getting less than 4 hours of sleep a night. I did have enough sense to warn DH of this so he can have a thicker skin for a bit while I get used to going on 3 hours of sleep again.
Things I'm currently in freak out mode over: 1. Having time to pump at home. 2. Getting myself presentable for work. 3. Getting 3 kids ready to be out the door by 7:30 4. Twins having to now nap in a crib at daycare. We've been trying at home and have only gotten Miss obto sleep for maybe 20 minutes. Daycare just got rid of their swings last month so I may have crabby no nap babies for a bit. 5. I still can't find my dress pants! Guess I'll be shopping this weekend.
shellbell - I extremely lucky and daycare is less than a 5 minute drive and then work is only 10-15 after that. It's been a struggle while at home too because DH isn't really on board with me breastfeeding so I have been staying up late to pump while he goes to sleep. With pur first I pumped in the morning which I can't seem to get this time around. His solution for me is formula...not to assist more and take the babies or wake up LO1.

@jacks605 I'm freaking out about several of the same things and I only have one child to worry about. I can't imagine how you're feeling! I'm sorry YH isn't more supportive about the BFing and pumping. That's one of the things DH has been most on board with. He really wanted (and so did I) me to breastfeed and has been super supportive about having to go about it through exclusive pumping. Of course, he was also totally on board with supplementing or switching if we needed to, anything to preserve my sanity! I've also gotten used to going back to sleep for an hour or two after my first pump/feeding in morning so I'll be hurting. I'm also totally freaking out about the napping thing because Z won't sleep flat still. I'm hoping if she gets used to it at daycare it'll make moving to her crib easier, though.
Well, I'm officially on my own until Sunday. DH left about 5 this morning and will be back Sunday night. Then I go back to work Monday. Wish me luck...I'm hoping one of my friends is going to come stay with me for the night Friday so I can get some help, but I'm not certain yet.
In other news I'm feel badly because Z woke up when I brought her down to pump this morning, ate her 4oz then fell soundly asleep before I could change her diaper. She's been in the same one since about 9 last night....
nomnom 8oz in one sitting? That's crazy! Z still can't eat more than 4 sometimes 5oz at once.

Good morning F17.
Sorry for all those dealing with back to work stresses! One perk of working at night is I'm getting ready to leave after bed time.
I am nervous though because DH has to take over MOTN shenanigans (he hasn't done a thing in 10 weeks), and R is still super inconsistent with sleep. Some nights she does great; other nights it's game over after 3 am. Last night she slept 5 hours, then 2.5, then she was up kicking and grunting every 45 min to an hour. I have no idea why she does this, gas, reflux, hates the swaddle? I have tried everything to help her sleep. The pedi told me to put cereal in her milk but I just don't know if I want to do that yet.
It's extremely frustrating.
Anyway today we have a play date with my good friend and her son. And no other plans. Hoping K naps on the way home in the car because otherwise, there will be no nap. DH also needs to get groceries at some point today...
dancerspose barring an obviously messy diaper, we no longer change MOTN. LO has been in her diaper 13 hours now. It doesn't bother her, it doesn't leak, and it helps us all go back to sleep quicker to not change it.

I took some Zyrtec yesterday for my allergies. Lo and behold, I got half my usual amount when pumping this morning
Now I'm not sure what to do. The amount I got today is enough (I had been using the excess to build a stash). But am I going to totally F up my supply if I keep taking allergy meds? And if yes, it's going to be a long two months with having to stay indoors.
@jacks605 Ah I need to start thinking about my new normal mornings as well. This stresses me out. FX your first day back and morning routine goes smoothly.
My sister is coming over in a couple minutes to watch DS while I go get my hair done. I am so excited I can't stand it. Alone adult time plus pampering plus a new do. My hair is super long and dark brown and all one length right now. Yawn. I am going to keep the length but add in layers and get balayge to lighten it up. Eeeep. 😬
@jacks605 sorry you are freaking out and that your H isn't more supportive. It seems amazing to me that you are accomplishing all that each morning, I have nowhere to go and 1 baby and I can't imagine it.
dancerspose don't feel too badly I'm sure if she was uncomfortable she'd let you know
notagoddess no advice but I'm hoping it's not the allergy meds, or that you can find a better one if it is
Still fighting for daytime naps over here. He is obviously tired, but they just aren't successful. Almost everytime I put him down he wakes up. So I get stuck holding him for his whole nap... Anyone have any tricks? I feel like I have tried everything.

Can someone explain lularoe to me? I want to buy a maxi skirt I think...but I just don't understand the entire concept of it. I can only order it from someone on Facebook? There's no online store?
Thanks ladies. Just getting some of that out along with a cry this morning did make me feel better. I think I just need to accept the next few weeks may be a shit show and try to better acknowledge the positives I do have.

Facebook parties or people will have pop up events at home. I was skeptic at first but the leggings are the softest and most comfortable I've worn. I have gotten 3 pairs since going on ML and like the Irma run I. So comfy!!

So someone has a party on Facebook...And you watch them post them or whatever prints they have, and then you buy it? First come first serve?

flyinghorses6 thanks for asking about lularoe I've always wondered.
Evelyn3 we had to break on of the cardinal rules to get out of nap jail...have you tried placing him on his stomach. Seriously we put this girl on her belly, stick a pacifier in her mouth, and she is out. Also she sleeps better on her side so sometimes if she falls asleep on her side in our arms we can then put her in the boppy on her side sort of hugging it.

I've only gone to the pop up events. But I have heard that's how the online parties are. Pics posted and then first come.
1st night in the crib for B was not terrible, but not great either. I'm determined to keep it up, but man I'm tired this morning.
Sorry you're struggling with naps Evelyn3. No tips from me. We're guilty of carseat/carrier naps on the go with B. He's not napping great at daycare because they have to put him on his back in a crib. ::sigh::
Enjoy your panera and hair appointment pivot! That sounds wonderfully relaxing.
I'm sorry about the allergy meds and your supply notagoddess. It does sound like it's the culprit.
((hugs)) for the crappy sleep flyinghorses6. That sounds like a normal night around here too. It wasn't until B started daycare that he did a longer (6+hr) chunk. It's so completely frustrating to feel like you're doing everything you can to get good sleep and you still end up with the frequent wake-ups and grunt-fest night after night.
flyinghorses6, I had never thought of that. You're going into work after bedtime! That's epic!
AFM, I'm gunna say yes to the freelance gig today. I still have some reservations, but I think it's about as secure as my current job is now. (The company had a net loss last year and may have to start layoffs.) I will probably continue to consider full time gigs, and as much as I'd hate to burn professional bridges, my livelihood comes first.
E slept through the night last night! 8 hours followed by 3.5! Holy shit I've missed sleep! It was glorious!!!
Also, I'm going to get an IUD. Even though I haven't had great luck with them, I'm hoping third time is a charm. I just want a more permanent form of birth control that'll still be around should H change jobs and should I get different benefits... I'm thinking of Kyleena.

DS slept from 8:30 to 3 and 3:30 to 7 last night! I don't think this is a breakthrough or anything, likely just a symptom of being vaccinated but it was great. I even woke up twice in the 1st stretch myself because I'm used to that routine.
Today is rainy. I might take the kids down to the basement and let them play down there while I start sorting storage to get ready to bring more of their stuff downstairs. I want to 50/50 split their toys so there's A) less clutter upstairs, and B) I can rotate toys easier by just alternating where they play. My BILs will be by this week to help me move in the spare bed and the couch and chair from the garage so I can get the basement more livable before my mom and sister come to visit.
Ugh so my sister has a hair appointment herself at 1 so DH was going to come at 1230 to relieve her so I could still get my hair done. Well he got called into a work meeting at 1 so now I'm just getting it cut not colored I rescheduled the color for next week but I'll probably have to bring the baby with me. Why can't I just have a couple hours to myself and why did I have to write down 945 instead of 1045 🙄 First world problem I know.

Evelyn3, I don't know what you've tried, put here are some options:
- white noise and dark room - swaddled, white noise, and dark room - swaddled, white noise, and dark room, pacifier - swing, white noise, dark room - swaddle, swing, white noise, dark room - swaddle, swing, paci, white noise, dark room - belly, pacifier, and pat to sleep (but then I would make sure you keep checking on him) - babywearing
Also, if he wakes up when you put him down, don't be afraid to let him fuss for 5 minutes to see if he'll put himself back to sleep.
Also, outdoor naps seem to work well for us - she'll sleep for hours outside.
dancerspose My older son did this too, though maybe not as early. L (younger son) just ate close to 40oz in 24 hours, R (older son) made it up to 50oz some days around 4-6 month.
@jacks605 Minimize expectations. Clean, fed, and warm. Anything else can be compromised to some degree at least.
I found this morning that I can get kids out the door in about an hour with no help as long as nothing goes wrong.

flyinghorses6 Agnes&Dora is another company that sells leggings. I think they're a bit cheaper. My sister let me borrow one of her maxi skirts and top for a wedding and they were really nice.
