Back to work today. First day since Thursday since they took off Monday for W's birthday. He looks so much older than 5 days ago. These kids grow too fast!

I just scheduled DDs first haircut for Sunday. I want to keep her length and curls... I just want it to look a little healthier and I'm nervous they are going to butcher it. Unnecessary worry I'm sure.

Where are you getting it cut? We've gone to cookie cutters and they do a decent job.

vlagroupie, that's where we are going. It shouldn't be too hard... It's not like I'm asking for a complicated haircut, just a trim. So hopefully they can handle it. Lol

Here. Got a sbux breakfast sandwich so I'm a happy girl
I'm jealous. I went to Starbucks to get a sandwich and they were closed for renovations! It was on my way to the doctor so I didn't have time to go anywhere else.

mmmm which one did you get? I love the bacon gouda I wish I could make those at home.
I've been making something like this at home. We have one of those breakfast sandwich machines. So about once a week I cook a while pack of bacon and we have BLTs for dinner and then I use the leftover pieces for breakfast sandwiches. It's not the same but pretty good. Would probably be really close if I used ciabatta bread instead of my whole grain English muffins.

So my doctor's appointment didn't go well. Some highlights: -I almost passed out during the ultrasound from laying on my back -I pissed all over my hand trying to get a urine sample because my belly is too big to see what I'm doing. -Baby is measuring 31 weeks and 2 days. That's 3 weeks ahead. US tech said "how big was your first baby?....well this one's going to have his brother beat by a mile if he keeps going at this rate!" Oh, you mean my first son who ripped my genitals to shreds during delivery? Yeah. That's awesome. Fuck.
ETA oh and still breech. Gotta hope he flips before he gets too big.

Does the sandwich maker cook the egg?
Yeah. It has an extra metal plate in the middle. You crack the egg on it, and then after a few minutes slide that piece out of the way so it drops on to the rest of the sandwich after it cooks. I think the brand is Hamilton Beach if you want to Google it.
The good news: -Dr. doesn't think I need blood sugar medication -He's not that concerned about the growth. Says I'm still in the normal distribution, just on the high end. -I get to have more ultrasounds to keep an eye on it -He's totally on board with a 39 week induction or C-section. -He said if this is our last baby and I want to schedule a CS he can tie my tubes. I said I hadn't considered that bc my insurance wouldn't cover it, and he said he just wouldn't bill me for it. So I have some decisions to make.
Oh gawd JoBub sorry for the rough morning/appt. are you still considering induction or c/s?
Yeah. I'm leaning towards induction at 39 weeks, but also keeping an open mind to a c-section depending on how these last few months go.
I just saw your pro list after posting. c/s recovery can suck but it really only took a week for me to start feeling normal. I honestly felt great this time around with recovery. The worst thing for me this time was that I got really sick the night before rcs and the coughing and congestion was worse than my c/s recovery. Glad your doc is onboard with some different options.

Last time, I still wasn't cleared to exercise at my 6 week appointment. At 8 weeks I got clearance, but I remember trying to go for a run after that and it was horrible. So I'm thinking a c-section recovery can't be much worse than what I went through that time. Of course there's a chance this delivery will be easier, but it's not looking likely. Maybe he'll stay breech and the decision will be made for me.

JoBub, that's an eventful appt! I'm glad your Dr isn't concerned about the growth. I'm sure it's fine! That's awesome that if you chose to have your tubes tied he won't bill you. That's really nice of him.

Either way you go, 39 weeks seems like a great time to have a baby. Maybe you'll go at 37 on your own and baby will ease right out. Have you talked to doc about things he can do during the vagina delivery to ease tearing (warm compresses, manual stretching, slow pushing, a mirror)?
Idk why but having to make any permanent birth control decisions freaks me out.
Part of me wants something permanent after the babes. But that is the "I hate being pregnant-pregnant me talking." H says let's wait to decide anything until the babies are older.

Yikes. Yeah at my follow-up appt I was cleared for everything. I was up and walking within 8 hrs and I just continued to walk around several times a day. The worst is stairs so you'll have to limit that, but I definitely did stairs more than I should have but I don't think it slowed my recovery.
