Bitching ahead:
I have another damn staph infection. I can't remember if I mentioned this. Third one since I had N, including the incision getting infected. All multiple abcesses. This time one cleared up and one didn't. Saw my doctor today and she scheduled me for an outpatient surgery tomorrow! She said it's up to the surgeon: he might excise it, he might not. There's nothing for her to drain. Then she gave me another round of Septra.
I'm so tired of this. It's probably related to my potential pre-diabetic status. I hate using so many antibiotics but I can't risk getting septic.
Ladies who work outside the home, do you have a system for your pumped milk from Friday to Monday? Do you just freeze it Friday night and pull it out Sunday to use Monday at daycare? Or do you just keep it in the fridge since it's only 3 days between? Since I EP I rotate the pumped milk from Friday into Noah's Sunday feeds, and then use the Sunday pumped milk Monday, but I'm wondering if I'm overthinking this.
My pumping output varies drastically but luckily am always able to keep up so far. I just keep a rotation of enough milk in the fridge. If there's too much, the oldest goes in the freezer. If not enough one comes out. I keep it in the fridge up to 5 days before freezing, but usually don't make it past 3
Ugh. My flight was delayed. So I pushed my pumping out so I could pump right before I boarded. Then I was eating with a coworker and our flight got unexpectedly bumped back up and we had to board right away. Now I'm going to go like 7hrs without pumping. Omg big ugly cry.
I guess it's not longer than a long night stretch, but still. Ugh. Can't wait to get home.
Confession: sil had one of those set ups that projected social media pics with the wedding hashtag up on to the rotunda in real time. Mh and I joked about using that to announce because she had been such a crazy bridezilla. Obviously we didn't because we're not awful human beings but a cousin did hashtag a gross semi naked old man picture that kept popping up. I would not have trusted our friends with technology like that.
silvermelody ugh that's awful. I hope you're feeling better soon! meeggaannw I spent my evening much the same way! With pulled pork nachos.
Also, happy birthday to me indeed! I can't believe my husband who doesn't understand why one would ever need more than one wrap bought me a wrap 😂😂. Any of you wrapping ladies have any tips on breaking in a cotton/linen/hemp triblend?

+ whatever to pumping and milk storage being a pain. What I have been doing is taking half of what I pump and using it the next day and half I pull from the freezer. (I then take my extra from the day and put it in the freezer) this way my stash doesn't get old and I'm not as worried about the milk being different from when I froze it.
lakegirl that drink looks delicious. ellabee omg I am so sorry, engorged boobs are terrible and I am sure double when on a plane. silvermelody I hope your surgery goes well and that resolves this for good.
ellabee, that sucks. Traveling can be such a pain... even more so when you need to pump and can't.
silvermelody, so sorry youre dealing with another infection. I really hope this is it and things get better from here on out.
I have a headache, cramps, and am so tired. I've snapped at DS1 twice in a span of 20 minutes so add guilt to my list of issues right now. I really just want everyone to go to bed so I can take a hot shower and then enjoy a glass of wine.
Set oven to 350. In small bowl combine; 1/2 cup coconut flour, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup plain flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp cinnamon.
In large bowl; combine 3/4 cups peanut or almond butter, 1/2 cup butter, 2 tablespoons flax meal* (soak in 1/3 cup water before adding) 3 to 4 tablespoons Brewers yeast, 1/2 cup molasses, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tsp vanilla, 2 large eggs. Combine ingredients until creamy.
Once large bowl is creamy in texture slowly add contents from small bowl into the mixture.
Add 12 oz pack of chocolate chips to mixture (you may also add nuts at this step if you like) mix until evenly distributed.
Mix in 3 cups regular oats. If you feel the mix is too thick you may add a little bit of buttermilk.
Use melon scoup to portion out dough onto a greased cookie sheet. Take a fork and gently press the top of cookie down.
Bake cookies on 350 for about 12 minutes. (Cookies should have a very soft texture when cooled if you bake longer they get very hard)
This recipe makes approximately 5 dozen. You can freeze half and bake later if you like.

I don't remember the date of my bfp. I took a picture of my "stomach" for a before/ after comparison so I just need to find the pic to determine the day. I'm fairly certain it was shortly after DS1's birthday but not positive.

Thanks for the good wishes ladies.
I'm so frustrated trying to get N to take a bottle. I managed to pump 4oz in ten minutes after lunch though! So my pump works and my output is good-I just need to find a way to get it in her. We tried a sample Nuk bottle I had that I thought she might like the nipple shape better. Nope.

Tomorrow I make DH try when I'm not in the room
Have you tried a Tommy Tippee? It's the only one F will tolerate. I've heard good things about Dr Browns too

MissDemeanor I haven't tried Tommy Tippee yet. Dr. Brown's is what we already have but she's resisting those too. If I can't get it soon I'll ask local friends if I can borrow a few different brands.
So, my first day at work was forgettable but on the plus side DH totally had a great day with H. I came home to a clean, happy, fed and rested baby. Dinner was almost ready, some chores were done and the house was tidier than when I left it. Once upon a time that would have made me feel bad or even jealous but I'm just so relieved. It may well be a fluke after the nightmare day I had with H yesterday but I'm so glad they've got off to a good start!
silvermelody, with DS1 there was no way he was going to take a bottle from me. I tried but ultimately DH had to work it through and I couldn't be around while he did. Leaving the house and getting you're DH to try will hopefully work for you. I'm sure N will get there.
I just realized I should start rotating through my freezer stash.. Ugh, I really don't want to pull out frozen milk and freeze more every day, but better than it expiring?
I use frozen milk every Monday, and freeze what I pump on fridays. In between, I send Monday's pumped milk to day care on Tuesday. Tuesday's pumped milk to daycare on Wednesday. Wednesday's pumped milk to daycare on Thursday. And Thursday's pumped milk to daycare on Friday.
