Work has pissed me off. This may be a long vent lol.

I'm starting work Monday (nights, 8-8) and discussed in the interview was I would do every Monday night as that was the best days for child care for me. DH has booked off from work Mondays 6pm onwards so he had DS. And my Mum has booked every Tuesday off for like ever, so I can sleep in the morning until around 2ish. Work was ok with that, and said Mondays were fine.

Then it took them 4 weeks to do all the checks, which was ridiculous anyway as I have a squeaky clean record and very good references. They rang me 2 days ago saying you can start Monday, yep great. Then went on to say do you want your shift times while we are on the phone... got confused as I thought I was doing every Monday, therefore I shouldn't need to check the calendar. Nope. I'm doing completely random days, one week is Monday, another it Tuesday and the other is Friday.

Bitch I fucking said I could only do Mondays!!!!

So I got a little bit forceful on the phone saying all of this was discussed in my interview why I can only do Mondays. She basically expected me to just go along with the days I had been given and not moan, nope. I have childcare issues. DH works until 9pm, I am not obviously going to leave our son on their own for an hour. And I am not going the whole of the next day after working the whole night not sleeping, and looking after a toddler. I'm pregnant and do need to look after myself (and my sanity)

She said she would speak to the rota person and ring me back, that was 2 days ago. If she hasn't rang me by this afternoon I'll be ringing her. Such bull

Nope. Word on the board is that many offices are phasing them out. I feel like the extra u/s is fun to see baby, but it's a pain for the tech to get the correct measurement. At my office, they offer it to you and talk to you about it, but you have to say YES I want it for them to schedule it. Quad screening (just a blood test) is generally more accurate (done around 16 weeks).

Quickly: good luck today RoLoMa! Nice U/S @snuff9861. My province doesn't do NT scans, and my only complaint is that I'm jealous and want an U/S photo! Miss Killjoy, sorry for your very shitty week, kids, man! I think it was buttercup who said regular clothes too small, mat clothes too fall-y-down-y. Ditto. Well, my Gap pants fit great and my workout pants, but my mat jeans that I'm wearing today are just annoying. One time when it's annoying being petite and there's no sizes to go down to! My belly is super obvious now, people who know me can definitely tell, but maybe not strangers yet.

GUYS...we have a healthy, super wiggly baby! HR of 161. I'm waiting for my OB appointment but I was definitely in tears when that baby came up on the screen. Holy shit. I can't even describe the weight that was lifted off my chest.
