rivers and roads I'm not gonna lie, S is starting to slim up and lose her rolls. I'm so sad She's not even walking her, so when that starts she's really going to slim down. She has recently started bear crawling which is funny/cute. How is X doing with regards to walking?
I may wake up without a lung tomorrow. I've been coughing so much tonight and I've got a headache that is made worse with every cough. I want this to go away!
I guess I'm being a PW tonight. I got the water table cleaned out and filled up during nap time today. After supper we brought the girls out to play and S is obsessed. She just wanted to lick the water and suck on the gross outside toys. She screamed when I carried her inside. She is definitely a water baby.

We've had a busy couple of days! It's so nice to be out and about again. I think the kids are enjoying it too!
We visited a kindergarten information evening yesterday at one of the schools we were considering for DD1. I think we've finally come to a decision. Their kindergarten program sounds awesome! It even includes plenty of time playing in the woods.
This morning I took the kids to an indoor playground and some kid (best guess 2.5-3 yo) approached DD2 and slapped her across the face. WTF? I certainly told him off but I have no idea who was supervising him. DD2 was stunned and gave me a little hug but didn't even cry. I told her it would be unacceptable for me to hit the boy but if she certainly had my permission to give as good as she gets if she found herself in a situation like that again. Other than that it was a fun visit.
The twins are definitely getting to be a handful when they're on the loose. They don't listen very well when there are exciting things to go explore and no sooner do I get one on track than the other is taking off. It's really hard to manage toddlers with selective heating running in different directions!
At one point as we were walking through the mall yesterday the three kids were walking hand-in-hand smiling and giggling. I love watching the affection developing between them. DD1 watches over them and loves to play with them and teach them things. It was such a rough beginning to big sisterhood for her that it's such a relief to see her settle into and enjoy it. I think it's actually brought out traits and skills that we may not have seen as much of otherwise.
Tomorrow we're off to see the in-laws. It's been way too long since we last visited!

@britterrss how is W's walking progress going?
X's rolls have been disappearing for a while now. I miss them! He's been in the same sized clothes since September- we can just finally unroll his pants a bit more. Wahh.
He's walking! I'd say he walks way more than crawls at this point. Started taking steps about a month ago and is pretty proficient now. I die when he walks and holds my hand.
Morning! Last night DH slept on the couch (claims his back hurts sleeping on our bed and the couch feels better) and S rolled off the bed. She was fine, just a little upset. DH and BIL are currently going to get the swing set from his brother's house. H is going to be so excited. Later this morning we are going to a family fun day put on by the Y. Then I work this afternoon.

5/21 is SO far away. I'm so impatient once I decide I want something, haha. Thanks! I think I have a BRU gift card actually. How's your cough, trtlcrzy?
eyelashedviper, was surgery rescheduled yet? Maybe you mentioned this somewhere, but I think I missed it.

I know, I'm the same way. Look around at other places, you might find it cheaper elsewhere anyways. My cough is the same. It's worse at night and when I lay down. I am just working on drinking all the water for now, not that it's helping much.

rivers and roads I actually called the hospital last week because they had told me at the pre-assessment appointment they would postpone 2-3 weeks and I hadn't heard anything. Apparently we only get added to the scheduling queue after 2-3 weeks so she was waiting on the next block of OR bookings to be released. I asked if she could give me a timeframe (so I can schedule my life!) and she said she thinks they were last booking at the end of July. Ugh, August is busy and summer is not ideal as our house is not air conditioned. I might try and push for September, that way DD1 will be in school during the day but I also plan to be looking for a job... I wish we'd already gotten this over and done with!

Happy Mother's Day!
We are laying low. DH and DS took a bike ride and played outside for a while when I laid DD down for her nap. They got hot and came inside so now we are just lounging, DD is still sleeping.
My mom is coming over for supper. H is frying some fish, which I don't eat so I'll probably cook chicken for myself. Otherwise not much going on. H gave me a Magnolia gift card, so I might buy myself the same wreath I bought for my mom.
I had some excitement at work. There was a shooter 4 blocks from the hospital so they put us on lockdown around 3:30. They just gave the all clear at about 4:45 so I hope that means they caught the guy(s). This is the first time it's ever happened while I was working and I kind of had no clue what I was supposed to be doing. Security came by after like 15 minutes to tell me what was going on.

Yikes! That must have been scary. I hope everyone is okay.

We all slept in this morning after getting in later last night. Then I made pancakes for breakfast and video called my mom (she's out of town visiting my brother). My mom asked DD1 if she had made me breakfast and she answered 'yes'. Umm, excuse me but I'm the one cooking your breakfast as we speak kiddo! Haha
SIL called to say she was babysitting her fiance's nephew and wondered if she could come over. He and DD1 are close in age and seemed to have fun together. We took them out on their bikes and they kept bumping into each other even though they had the whole empty parking lot to ride in. It was raining out and he didn't have his coat with him so he borrowed one of DD1's. Apparently DD1 told DH "He looks like a girl."

As far as I know no one was shot, so that's good news. I also heard they arrested one guy.

DH and I finally had good sex again last night! It only took 14 months...
Despite the late night, I have been productive today. I managed to wash some floors (with my helpers), cook and clean the kitchen, and change the light bulbs in our kitchen light fixture (I don't feel like I'm constantly squinting in there now!) Plus I had to go retrieve all of the toys and shoes that L keeps throwing down the basement stairs.
Looks like the little ones are waking up from their nap now.
