Colin woke up at 6:15 to pee. He doesn't actually need help but I am always willing, since 2 months ago he was still fighting the toilet. I put him back to bed with a minimum of 5 various "why?" questions. Not that he ever believes my answers.
Morning. Jealous that he went back to sleep JoeLies! S has been slowly moving his wake up time up and for the past 2 weeks it's been about 5:45. I never thought I'd miss his 6:30 wake ups- and his 7:30 mornings are such a distant memory...
Morning time. We watched Lalaland last night and I enjoyed it more than I expected, but I had pretty low expectations.
N passed her weight inspection yesterday and is back on a higher curve, but does have another ear infection and her cough keeps making her puke.
And me, I'm really struggling this weekend. I guess bc it's mother's day. I'm aware that I'm extremely lucky she's alive, but dammit I just want her really back. Enough of this rehab BS.
Morning! I get to work this weekend. This morning DH and BIL are going to get the swing set from BIL's brother's house. It's in a bit of a rough shape so it'll need some cleaning up based on pictures I saw.
Morning! We are en route to B's soccer game--last one of the season. Caroline is 'singing' in the backseat, which is adorable. They both thankfully slept til 7:30 this morning, I think all the heat and activity yesterday took it out of them.
tallblonde How is your mom doing? I hope the rehab is going well. I'm sorry for all of it, for both you guys and your mom.
wedding I hope your recovery is going ok! I didn't see your post about the surgery until the last day or so.

Cadence came to my bed at 2. Technically it was mh's night, but she yelled at him and came to me. Whatever. She fell asleep after awhile and is still snoozing. I need to get up and take a shower. She has gymnastics this morning and then straight to my mom's to go to an amusement park they both like. I'm tired already!!
Maybe tomorrow? We have the soccer team party this afternoon and it's (finally) raining here so we aren't going out today. Hoping we can sneak out tmrw after brunch.
If I yell out "tgrimes loves you!", will you be my one-phone-call-from-jail?
@surelycantbesrs I would love to do a drive-in movie! No theaters left around here unfortunately. Hope the weather cooperates so y'all can enjoy the movie!
Good morning! I have had my 3 nephews since Thursday. We were suppose to have 3 baseball and 1 soccer game today but all are rained out. DH scored a Nintendo Switch so that's keeping the big ones busy and the little ones are watching Trolls. We need to find something else to keep them occupied the rest of the day.

Hi!
tallblonde I'm sorry you are feeling down about your mom. I hope there is a bright spot in your weekend. Many hugs.
Slow Saturday for us. It is much needed after traveling last weekend and a busy week. I have quite a bit to get done around the house, but I'm catching up on Grey's instead. MH had to go to work for a little bit. When he gets back, he gets to entertain M while I go out to do whatever it is I need to. I just need some time by myself after having M solo for a few days.

Thanks all, I didn't expect to just be so mad/angry/sad this weekend. We are heading there this afternoon and I'll try to wrangle both kids for a bit, then having dinner with my MIL and SIL. We will stay at her house to tonight and need to check on the mail, sweep the porch, water plants, etc. She was approved for 2 more weeks, so kicking the can further down the road. They had her do laundry and cooking this week, so hoping she's getting more into every day tasks, but still will need supervision upon discharge.
She thinks she's fine and doesn't get that our world is literally turned upside down. And selfishly, I depended on her quite a bit and I am sad I don't have her to help out and now I have the additional responsibility of making sure she's okay. I'm probably going to call my doctor on Mon since I'm pretty sure I qualify for ppd, but brought on bc of this. The only time I'm genuinely smiling is when N is being cute. Otherwise just going through the motions to get through the day.

tallblonde, I'm so sorry. I'm glad you're going to call your doctor. You've had so much to manage and stress over lately. Im sure your mom realizes how incredibly lucky she is to have you.
I tried to take V to the park by our apartment and a group of 4 siblings (ages 4 - 12) wouldn't let V play on the play structure. The youngest one was blocking the stairs and telling him no, one of the older ones said it was "their stuff and he couldn't touch"
He cried, I told the kids the play structure was for everyone but they wouldn't back down. We ended up leaving and I cried over how sad V was. There is only one play structure at this park.
I don't know what I should have done. These kids had no parent supervision.
We had the end-of-year soccer party at church tonight. They had multiple bounce houses set up, dinner, awards, etc. B was so excited about his little 'trophy'; his team got clobbered all but a couple games, but it was a fun season. He crashed after his bath and I'm hoping C isn't far behind him. I could use a glass of wine and a cookie.
