I got the moby - haven't opened it yet. Hopefully it's worth it and not too confusing !
I haven't tried my fake version yet. But there are some videos online that make it make sense. I should start using it for my koala bear baby while he still likes to hang onto mommy and daddy.
I got a ktan wrap which seems fairly easy but it says 8 pounds and LO is not even 7 yet
Mine says 8# too but I admit I used it before. I made sure she wasn't bent in awkward directions and had no problem breathing. Not promoting not following the instructions, just admitting I did
I was not given any driving restrictions either time. I was definitely driving 3 days after delivery with DS and 2 days after with DD. I get really carsick though so I pretty much always drive anytime we go anywhere. I can't imagine not being able to drive for 6 weeks!
My warning label: do not speak to me before coffee if you want your limbs to stay attached.
How long were you told to wait to drive after your c-section? I got told 6 weeks is standard, but that sounds like crazy talk.
Got my ticker working. So proud.
I was not given any driving restrictions, so I'm going on the 'don't be an idiot about it' guidelines, much like I did with exercise while pregnant. With not having any family here aside from DH and even then, they can't drive cars here, I kind of have to drive if I want DH to have any chance of working.
Hearing test passed. Now I'm booking photos.
Woo-hoo on the hearing test. You're in the UK right? I have the same problem with parents visiting us in Ireland from the US. DH will be working when my mom is visiting and she can't drive my car anyway because of insurance even if I trusted her to be able to drive on the left side of the road.
Professional squishy baby photos for us tomorrow! So excited to have them and a professional photo of me and DH instead of selfies or snapshots on vacation.

Ugh, I got an email from Huggies with the subject "Congratulations, baby's home! Now what?". Wrong! I wish they would hold off on sending these types of emails because it just makes me feel worse.
My mom left this morning so today was my first day just me and baby. I think we're doing alright today, but I'm excited for DH to get home from work! 2 more hours....
I also pulled out the moby wrap today- LO seems to like it!
The most wrap is so confusing!I have the cheater version.
Yeah, I pulled mine out and looked at it. I'm going to need to youtube how to use that thing. Because right now I can't figure it out.

seamonster I'm in Bermuda. It's an issue of non-residents only being allowed to drive 50 cc bikes. Even if they could, I think my dad would be the only one who might drive when here because of the left side of the road thing as well.
My mom should be coming in tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to having someone to pick up the infant carrier so I can grocery shop. I'm really trying to be good about only lifting the baby and I have to get my wrap and sling down to try out and get comfy with so that I don't have to carry the baby with nothing while shopping.
I know I am a year or two late to the game, but I just watched Blackfish.... That was incredible, but so heartbreaking! I love animals so much and I used to love going to Seaworld as a kid. Seeing the whales was my favorite part! I can't take my daughter now, I will feel so guilty!!

I got that same email from the Babies R Us registry. "Congrats! You made it to 40 weeks!" And I could just think, but what if I didn't? What if something horrible happened and now this email showed up and just tore me apart all over again? And who in that situation would even think about going and updating all their various pregnancy-related accounts? I mean, I get tons of baby emails from all over the place but that one rubbed me the wrong way.

This is going to sound fucking ridiculous and I'm probably overly tired and hormonally challenged today but my husband left to go to work early and stopped to "buy chocolates" from a grocer that sells chocolates from the UK (aero, crunchy, flake). He spent $10 on chocolates and I DONT WANT ANY MORE CHOCOLATES! I really need a little help and support to cut down on sugar and eat a little healthier... Ugh-- I need a nap!

Yeah, I pulled mine out and looked at it. I'm going to need to youtube how to use that thing. Because right now I can't figure it out.
My sister in law gave me hers- I don't think she ever used it! Anyway, I youtubed the newborn hug hold for the wrap, and while Dom is TECHNICALLY a little too small for the reccomended weight, he fits in perfectly and seems very happy. He was having a meltdown and nothing was calming him so I wrapped him in there all snug and he calmed right down and is now sleeping on my chest.

I got the moby thinking I would use it while DS is small. Its too confusing and I don't like where the weight sits on me. I had registered for the Ergo thinking we would use that when DS was bigger. A friend got that for us and I tried it a few days ago. I liked it much better, so ordered the infant insert. Not sure now what to do with the Moby. Maybe bring to goodwill? I'm not sure i can return it.
Where is sugahcookie01 ? Hopefully you are ok and spending time with your new squish!
Hey! Ugh just so busy with Henry! I've barely been online but for Facebook on my phone! We are doing well just tired and learning how this whole "parenting" thing works!

Nice. I was thinking the UK because of your avatar. The bikes only thing would kill me.
I hear you on wanting someone to pick up the carrier.
Hi everybody! I have two goals this week: (1) shower when I'm home by myself with R and (2) spend more active time on the boards not just lurking.
I successfully completed my first goal today - it was amazing - and now I am getting to work on my second goal.
I hope everybody has been doing well over the past few weeks and I am excited to get back in the swing of things around here. R is three weeks old today and is doing much better with sleeping so I have a little more time on my hands!

My avatar is from our trip this summer to the UK and Normandy beaches for D-Day. That was actually the day I got the BFP, so it ended up being totally appropriate.
We did bike only for 3.5 years here, but obviously had to switch it up with this little guy.

Or look for a baby resale shop in your town? Independent baby boutiques that sell carriers will also show you how to use them. I figured out one option for the Moby but I want something else.
