We're both pretty agreeable and have already decided...
Eliza Grace for a girl. Ryan James for a boy.
Back ups were Audrey Claire and Isaac James. We love classic traditional names so that keeps us on the straight and narrow. Just ready to find out next week!!
I love those names! So beautiful! Freja Mikaela and Maja!
I wish I could enjoy Freja as much as everyone around me! For some reason, my brain finds it so foreign that I cant wrap it around the name.
you are in sweden right? Is it a common name in Sweden? I visited my friend in Malmo years back and I remember hearing the name Hedwig a lot there! Love the swedish names! I also remember every other guy was Johan as well! I like that name too!

I am, and it somewhat is. I want to say it was maybe #33 last year or something.
Luckily I havent met a Hedwig yet, but theres at least million Johans! If my douchebag of a cousin wasnt named Johan, I would probably like the name too lol.
If we have a girl, her name will be Emma Nicola (after my MIL) with my MIL's maiden name. If we have a boy, it will be Liam. DH doesn't want to use my dad's name which is William, so Liam is still a nod to my dad. H really want our kids to have 4 names a first name a middle name his mom's maiden name and our last name. I went from having 3 names to 4 (making my maiden name part of my middle name ) and regret it. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
I started off with 4 names and went to three when I got married. One of the main reasons I took my husband's name was so I wouldn't have 5 names and also wouldn't offend anyone by picking a "side". In my experience the last last name (the 4th one in order) will be the one that gets used. That may have been the way my mom worked it but most forms (medical records, social security, etc.) only have her maiden name and not my father's. I do not know if my experience is common though because my parents were divorced by the time I was born. Just thought I'd add my experience.

Ryan James was on our short list of boy names! Love it. We found out we're having a girl, so we're using the name we picked last time when we were team green (Catherine Joy), but if we get a big surprise at our anatomy scan and find out that our genetic test was wrong (highly doubtful, but a 1% chance) then we'll probably be going with Ryan James, too!
Edited because words are hard on a cold, snowy morning.
I don't drink so initially I was unfamiliar with the alcohol link but I still love the name. My husband suggested spelling it Jamison.
I also like Joshua, Julian, Julius, Josiah for a boy too. My H is Joseph.
Thoughts?
I can't really get past the association with the whiskey, so I'm not such a fan. I wouldn't totally side-eye it, but you have so many other great names on your list that I would look elsewhere. Julian and Josiah are my favorites of the ones you listed.

Jameson is nms, unless your H was James (then, it'd be a cool tribute, "James's son"). I just like your other names so much more -- Julian and Josiah especially.

I like Jameson. My favorite that you listed is Josiah. That is the name we are using. We are stuck on a middle name though. Any suggestions for a middle name for Josiah?

Before we found out we were having twins, we had picked out either Aidan Isaak or Evelyn Lily (nn Evie or Eve). Now that we could potentially have two girls or two boys, I'm scrambling to find more names that we both agree on. If any of these sound awkward do say, would be happy to narrow down the lists!
To go with Evelyn Lily: Abigail Rose (nn Abby) Molly Rose Eloise Poppy (nn Ellie) (We want to do flower middle names for girls as DH's daughter's middle name is Daisy, thought it'd be nice to go with hers)
For the boys: Aidan Noah Aidan Michael Aidan William Isaak Elliot Isaak Finley Isaak Frederick
I am partial to Aidan Noah because Noah is our only choose for a boy! I do love Isaak Finley though! It is also very sweet to choose the flower middle names to go with your SD!
Would you consider nature-themed middles for the boys to sort-of match? You could use Forrest, Jasper, Glenn, Clay, Rowan, Reed or a whole host of others.
I love this idea for the boys, @shainarinchelle. Lots of "nature name" lists out there for ideas.
Isaak Reed sounds nice to me.
We are using Reid as a girl's middle name! It was my grandmother's maiden name. Isaak Reed sounds really nice!

I wouldn't have thought about the alcohol link but how about James? I think it is such a strong classic name! I would love to name our LO one James (if it is a boy) if an immediate family member didn't already have it!
We have "known" our baby names since we were dating... Now that it is imminent I am getting cold feet! Catherine Reid for a girl.
Catherine was his grandmother's name and Reid was my grandmother's maiden name. The name seriously sounds awesome with our last name... but my very best friend is named Catherine and everyone except her family calls her Cat. I really wouldn't like for my child to be called Cat... For one, I just don't like it and two, it will make shit weird having two Cat's in the family! H and I are both only children, so Cat will become Aunt Cat. I am okay with the nn Kate, but H hates it. I think with the name Catherine, a nn is inevitable...
Noah Campbell for a boy and I am pretty much good with that one still. Campbell is my mother's maiden name and we just really like the name Noah.

What about Cathy or Catie as a nickname?
I like Catie but H hates it more than Kate and Cathy was my stepdad's ex wife, haha...

cookiedough22, I like the name Jameson. If you love it, then use it.
We selected our names before we even got pregnant. If it's a girl, then Pearl Emerson. And I'm questioning our boy choice. While I love it, I'm afraid it may be too weird. I even saw it on an A15 Bad names we had on the place that shall not be named.
Girl: Evelyn Anne (Evelyn is getting popular, eh?) Boy: Patton William
How is Patton pronounced?
Pat-ton.
Like General George S. Patton, from WW2. He commanded the Allied Invasion of Normandy. I wanted a traditional, strong name that wasn't super popular, but also easy to pronounce. Patton fit all of those perfectly, plus FI's dad is a huge WW2 history buff, and loved that we decided on something that gave a nod to our military history.
