Re Amazon prime and finances : I tried to explain this to my DH but he doesn't get it. He sees one or two Amazon prime boxes and week and loses his cool. What he can't process is 1. I have no time to run to the store for just one thing at a time and 2. If I shop online, I buy what I needed and nothing else (and usually at a better price), whereas in the store if something catches my eye I come home with 5 things instead of just the 1 I needed.
Amazon prime is simultaneously ruining me and making my life better all at once.
I started ordering his stuff with mine and he quit bitching. Well, not entirely. He still complains about how many boxes he has to haul to the trash.
@sing2phins Yes. But I think if you're the type of parent to even think about whether or not you give them what they need, you're probably doing great.

Just cleared out the 12 mo clothes, bottles, random baby equipment. ugh, this is making me sad. I guess at least she has more space in her closet now...which, when she is a teenager I KNOW we are going to get hell for how small her closet is.
Seaside Heights, NJ; somewhere in IA; Salida, CO; Walla Walla, WA
Maybe I misunderstood but ticket prices are $200. Damn! Maybe that was for a two day festival? Do you know the cost for one day? I was looking at the IA venue.
@untaggablekate for real. Maybe I'm cheap but I can barely stand paying $50/ticket for a concert. That shit better be magically for me to drop that kind of cash.

it is pricey, but it is several bands over two days. It was a lot cheaper two years ago... I am pretty sure it was under $100, so yeah it's gone up quite a bit.
A former coworker of mine was just showing me pictures of this red ottoman she bought from a friend that folds out into a lounge like thing..... I had to explain to her that it was a liberator....
I am a baby whisperer. Got Luke to go down without rocking! Second time ever. I thought I was going to be sad but it's time. He was fighting me at every nap and bedtime.
Awwww. I'm afraid our days of rocking are nearing an end. We won't have a rocker while we're out of town the next handful of days, and I'm afraid when we get back he'll be used to it and won't want me to anymore. I'd rock him until he's in first grade if he'd let me.
cagoldi Can't you rock him without the rocker? It's a tad awkward but I've been rocking L without forever, in spite of the fact that we have a rocker. It's in the living room, though, and I put him down in the bedroom. I can't imagine giving up our rocking time, quite yet!

I have, and I'll try in Vegas, but since he's so big I don't think he's very comfortable. He's half my height now, so it's weird. Pete and I might just let him snuggle our shoulder while we walk around until he falls asleep.
