My MIL is seriously just the sweetest! I just got off the phone with her, letting her know how the ultrasound went yesterday, giving her our exciting news, letting her talk to Madeline, etc. Well, I don't sound good. At all. So she knew right away I was sick and got concerned. I told her not to worry, Madeline had it over the weekend and she was pretty much recovered now so I shouldn't be far behind. She then asks me if Tyson took time off work to take care of Madeline while I was sick. I said no, that wasn't really an option but he's going to try and get home early today to help out. Well next thing out of her mouth is this, "well I've got a few things to take care of, but I could probably leave in a few hours and be there tonight". She lives 6.5 hours away and she was going to literally drop everything to come here and take care of Madeline so I could rest. I told her that was out of the question and totally unnecessary, but that I really appreciated the offer. It's days like this I really recognize how lucky I am to have her as my MIL.
So the gunk seems to have hit me too. Nasty sinus pressure/congestion and a cough. It's fine, I'll deal, but I texted SH to let him know I wasn't feeling great. His response? "Sexy." No sympathy, no love. Just making me feel unattractive on top of feeling sick. Stupid husband.
thatblondie DH gave me hell because I took E in when he stopped walking. By the time we got to the ER and the words "loss of limb" were mentioned he changed his tune big time. I really hope the doctor sets him straight about how serious this all is, especially with a new baby around!
I'm sure you're all right about SH. He still needs a nut punch. I did actually tell him I don't trust him with Ms care based in his reaction and he was shocked.
Good for you! That probably felt like a nut punch!

Yeah I am glad you told him. He needed to know what effects his comments were having on you.

Have I mentioned this yet?:
Tomorrow, DH is taking E with him to Denver to pick up his mom.
I have the WHOLE DAY to myself.
I am cashing in my birthday pedicure (just, you know, a month and a half later), getting some work done in peace and quiet, and who knows what else. I'm taking suggestions!
So @geraphobe, in an effort to help you become a member, id like to know what germs you are afraid of the most and why?
I hope i didnt offend you! I was sincerely curious bc im a germaphobe. I wondered if you looked at certain things the way i did. I also figured it could help your count! Sorry if i insulted you!

Good he deserves one. Hopefully it's not the flu and fingers crossed N doesn't get it
Trying to get Y to take a pacifier. Sometimes she takes it. Other times she gags and spits up from it...normal?
Yup. Normal for my kids at least. They would take it some times and other times not so much. I also found that if I wiggled it abit then they would take it after they kept spitting it out.
I usually have an excellent napper, but the past week has been awful. I hope she gets back into her napping groove soon, cause I can't do this everyday.
Us too! Three days now where I've tried to get her to sleep for over 2 hours with no luck. When I stop trying is when she finally passes out!
