Taking my mom for her colonoscopy today. Prayers that all is well (my grandma passed away from colon cancer, so my mom goes every year) and vibes for me to deal with a toddler, alone in a waiting room.

Yep, that's pretty much what I've done so far:  vacuumed, cleaned the bathroom, and caught up on self-grooming.

B ran into my room as I was getting ready this morning, made sure he made eye contact with me and said 'mama' then ran out. He's never done that before, where he said a word and clearly associated it with someone or something. He blew his first kiss to me unassisted when I backed out of the driveway. I'm so happy!

Our babysitter claims the boy doesn't need speech therapy but the parents want him to be advanced so she works with him anyway. limabeanmom I am seriously side-eyeing that speech therapist and I'd go so far as to complain to the director. It's totally unprofessional to comment on the skills of any kid, whether you're treating them or not, to somebody that isn't that child's parent, or to "fish" for clients in that kind of setting.

so I'm pretty sure Madeline does not understand what 'hot' means. I'm sitting here drinking my tea and she comes up, points to my cup and says "hot" then proceeds to try and grab the cup of the side table. Um, hot means 'don't touch it will hurt you'. Not 'please help yourself to a sip of mommy's tea'.

No formal announcement. I saw it because she tagged me in post. I was like "who has so many stars already!?" and saw she was mod. I then posted and said "hi miss mod kdc!" but that was it.

If you go to the GBCB home page and scroll down to the June '13 board it has you listed as moderator there...?  I don't think we needed to vote, we all knew it was going to be you
