Current obsessions

The board is slow today so I thought I'd try to liven it up. What are you obsessed with right now? It could be food (ah hem laurski81 and her fluff), clothes, music, something related to your LO/LOs, anything!

I am obsessed with buying fun shirts for Tyler right now. I have bought from Passive Juice Motel and Slyfox Threads. I want a few from wireandhoney but I am taking a break.

I am obsessed with my vegetti. I loooove making zucchini noodle bowls and I love that it sounds wildly inappropriate, even though it's just a veggie spiralizer.

I am obsessed with the new things Tyler is doing. He is giving kisses on the lips to only me (these kinda kisses are only for mommy) and he has starting say, "Mommy, you make me happy". I have told him that phrase randomly, all the time, since he was born, and now he says it back. It is just so sweet.

Also Wine. Because duh.

The following things are currently my jam:

Song: Lay Me Down by Sam Smith. OMG, I die every time I hear it.
Sound: Riley's belly laugh. I just figured out how ticklish her neck is. I could tickle her and listen to her laugh all day long.
Activity: college basketball. I lurve March Madness! Go Badgers!
Food: Licorice. OMG, I cannot stop eating the sour filled Twizzlers. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Can. Not. Stop.

Well Cosette is still obsessed with Princesses. Imagine that. She makes us wear capes (blankets with clothespins), ride in sleighs (the couch), go up to north mountain (her room), fight off the wolves (throw pillows at the dogs). Or we live in Pixie hollow and I get to be Iredessa because "Mama you are bright like the sun". Ok - melting.
As for my obsessions - I've gotten back into crafting and baking. I made some kick-ass banana zucchini flaxseed muffins yesterday for her and I'm loving the no bake energy balls for me and DH. I made her a couple of sundresses over the weekend as well. Super easy ones with the premade stock from JoAnns that comes pre-ruched (hello kitty and tinkerbell). I also started knitting again. Hopefully I can make some more custom things for her this spring before garden season starts.

I'm obsessed with the debut Misterwives CD (seriously check it out!) and college basketball. March Madness is my favorite sports time of the year!!! AND IU made the tourney!!! I'm also obsessed with Disney. H & I decided to take Dagny in fall 2016 (so I'm not pregnant & we can leave next kid with grandparents) and even though it's like 1.5 years away I'm obsessed with planning/reading blogs.

Hhmmmm...other then the aforementioned fluff, I would have to say buying Henry new books. He already has a ton but over the last few months he has been getting so excited for new books and having a new book before bed has really been helping with our whole routine so I just keep buying him new stuff because I'm scared he will regress. I can probably open a library soon.

And just basic vanilla bean ice cream with Hershey's syrup, melted peanut butter & fluff, and mini chocolate chips. EVERY.NIGHT. It's so bad. No wonder my face is so "puffy" and I have a double chin in all my maternity photos. Don't even care though. I keep telling myself this will probably (95%) be the last time I am pregnant so I just stopped caring.

Netflix. I'm late to the game and just signed up for a trial a few months ago because I got hooked on How I met Your Mother. So I finished that series and now DH and I are watching the final season of The Office since we never finished. And then I might start Friends since I've never watched the whole series just a few episodes here and there. Gah! Why can't I be this obsessed with working out instead?

Nutella and strawberries. I ate a while 4lb strawberry box in a week. They would go bad if I didn't eat them so fast!

I was also slightly obsessed during my TWW last month. And it will happen again this month I'm sure.

My H and I decided last week we are going to sell our house in the next 6 months to a year and buy in my hometown. It's about 30 min from where we live now, but we have realized we can get a newer home for about the same as our house will sell for and the schools are better out there. I can't stop looking up homes for sale now. Obviously all those homes now won't be available then, but seeing the possibilities is exciting because our house is 50 years old.

Looking at houses. We have a contract on a house - inspection scheduled for next week, and yet I keep looking at new listings. Which of course is bad because a beautiful house in similar (better) condition came on the market over the weekend and the yard is gorgeous. It's big and open with some beautiful front landscaping....

I'm also starting to get obsessed with what I want to do to make it ours! I have been renting for far to long and the idea of being able to paint whatever I want is finally going to come true and I am so overwhelmed and can't stop to think of where to start!
I started looking at paint swatches already and H thinks I need to slow down.

I'm obsessed with fruity candy lately too. Chocolate is of course delish, but skittles, starbursts, jelly beans, I can't get enough. I also wanted to eat a whole bowl of pineapple last night, but stopped myself after a few pieces. I want all the sweet fruity things!

As for J, I'm adore how she will let me hold her and tickle/kiss/nuzzle her all over her face and neck while she laughs hysterically, tells me to stop, and then says "kiss me more mommy!" I will do that all day if she lets me!

I've been starting to look at garden pics so I'm super excited for any nice days that make me think I can have fresh tomatoes soon. I also want to get some milkweed and plant a butterfly garden in one section of the yard. Last year we had some caterpillars that I was hoping to see transform into butterflies but they got sick, so I'm making sure H doesn't have the lawn people in the back yard. I'd rather have weeds than dead caterpillars!

I made aubrey a tutu over the weekend and I can see making more in the future I love picking the colors myself.

Otherwise I've been getting into exercising and I'm trying to lift heavy. I think it is making a difference in my shape and just feeling good in general.

Aubrey has become obsessed with dresses. She always wants a tutu or dress to wear.

with searching Etsy for a personalized onesie for Eliza's 1 yr party. I'm a little late on ordering so hopefully I'll be able to get it in time for her actual party.

with Reeses PB eggs, even though I'm on my diet. I'm doing really good sticking to it, but sometimes I sneak in 1 a day. A lot better then I did this time last year with about 4-6 a day

with talking with Hanna. It's just amazing the things she says or what she comes up with.

Dylan's understanding of where to use "thank you." He inserts it when it doesn't makes sense, like "thank you for telling me where to put my coat." And when he tells me he wants to kiss me and hug me (a refreshing change from I want to hit you!).

Oh also obsessed with how polite Dagny has been! Everything is May I? May I have this, touch this, bring this in the car, watch cartoon, etc. And she's always saying thanks Mom! Or Sorry Mom! It's too cute.

Henrys obsessed with going to the park of course. Last night we got home and I was nursing Logan and he said "we go back park?" I told him no we had to nap. He then said "logan says go back park". Nice try kid.

junkytrunk, I've been obsessed with looking at houses too! We're still planning to build next spring and I can't stop looking at floor plans, developments and builder's websites. I keep telling myself to stop because I'm sure quite a few developments will be full or new ones will be open then, but I can't help it.

britbratjf, YES. Hanna is the same way. The littlest things I do for her or let her do and I get the biggest "thank you Mommy" and sometimes even accompanied with a hug.

Same story around here, minus the little brother!  We won't have even left the park and J says "we come back later?" and I'll say, we have to go eat lunch, and then take a nap, and we'll go outside again this afternoon.  And then she asks "We go to a new park later?"

Kid wants to go to ALL THE PARKS!


Oh - I'm also obsessed with HIMYM on Netflix lately.  H and I have been watching the entire series from the beginning (we started before we moved) and we've made it to the 2nd to last season and I still love watching 2, 3 or 4 episodes a night after J goes to bed!

summergirl1211, One of my besties up here is a residential architect that works for a builder. They do moderate priced homes instead of the million dollar ones. You shoudl totally look her up when the time comes - she is really great. And you know 2 interior designers that would love looking at house plans I bet.

I'm obsessed with ancestry. I recently got in touch with a 6th cousin and it was awesome!!!
Also skittles and starbursts. Mmmmm and chocolate ice cream.

Evie is obsessed with shoes. FINE BY ME!!! I love shoes and it's ok if she has a million.

Caz is obsessed with batman. He thinks he IS batman. He tells people it's his name. It's adorable and a little weird.

I'm comiing off my Serial obsession - but it was strong...like getting lost on Reddit wormholes strong. For those who don't know, Serial is a podcast that was a spin-off of This American Life about an investigation into a real life murder mystery from 1999. The convicted murderer was a senior in HS at the time and I think that's one reason I got so involved - because we are the same age. Anyway, I highly reccomend it, but beware of going on-line for more info...you can lose hours/days/weeks of productivity LOL

Decorating my house. It was fully renovated and freshly painted (all yellow - yuck) so it was basically a blank slate. We have spent waaaaaay more than I care to admit on paint, curtains, rugs, furniture, and we aren't done....Yikes! But luckily our last home was a fixer upper that we made a lot of money on when we sold, so we have the budget to make this home exactly what we want. It's still hard for me to splurg so much - totally out of my character.

jodielyn10, I've had 2 or 3 people tell me to listen to "Serial". I had never really heard of it until recently, but it seems those who have heard it want everyone to listen!

summergirl1211 - I am obsessed with looking at house plans, period. Whether I'm house hunting, building (clearly not), or just looking at other peoples layouts - I LOVE IT. I mean I look at floor plans all day, but I can't get enough of builders plans. Sometimes I wonder what the hell they were thinking... other times I really like them and store away ideas!

trixi282, I'm the same way with house plans. I look and look and look. There is no way we will ever be able to afford to build but I still like to dream. It's so weird sometimes how some builders try to cram so much stuff into a place that makes no sense at all with the way a house should actually flow just to check it off the box that the house has it. I LOVE looking at them though.

I also heard about Serial as well - I think it was PaddyB that was talking about it a while back. I need to find the time!
