I dragged myself downstairs to have coffee and quiet before the boys wake up. It sucks having to set An alarm on the weekend but I find my mornings are much calmer. I have no plans today. I'm exhausted from my week so I think I'm going to take a lazy day at home.
It's 7 here and I roll over and mamosey is still sleeping. I pulled down the covers looking for R. He's not in bed and is still asleep in his crib! I'm of course starting to worry that he's alright but it would be stupid to check and potentially wake a baby sleeping in on a Saturday.
Well. Got woken up at 2:30 by someone buzzing our apartment. I assume someone who forgot their keys or something and was trying to get in? Whatever it was, not OK to buzz random people in the middle of the night if it's not an emergency! WTF.Then got woken up at 4 by a thunderstorm. Luckily LO slept through everything but he's up and chipper and I'm dragging.
Solo parenting from now til tomorrow at noon, DH is staying over at your pastor's house so LO and I don't have to go to sunrise service. So I have the car! This never happens. We are going all the places today.
We're having Easter lunch today (long anger inducing story). I have to finish the egg basket cookies I made. Shower. Get the kid ready. Meet with the guy from the electric company... All before noon. And alone because DH teaches jiu jitsu Saturday mornings. I'm really bitter that his grandma moved Easter to Saturday just to please some nagging family members. Some homophobic bat shit crazy family members.
I have not been in the randoms threads in several days-things have been too crazy busy! I'm up early today, for no apparent reason. We are doing Easter at my IL's later today, then church and Easter at MH's aunt's on Sunday. I bought some fabric to make a couple of skirts for MH's cousin's baby girl, so I'll be doing that this morning, I guess!
Oh, also my 'part time' 20 hr/week job asked me to work extra hours, so it looks like I will be working 40 hours next week and 32 the following week. Getting church things done will be interesting, but I'll be glad when I get my paycheck!
T woke up at 2:30 in search of a paci in his crib. I guess 3 in there wasn't enough last night, he couldn't find one, so I went in to help. He went back down really quickly, but I was up until 4:30 thinking about the truck ham.
My normal, everyday wake up time starts with a 4, so I'm really happy that my Saturday wake up time started with a 6 today!
mamosey, I'm still laughing about the granola bar! That's hilarious!
armfruit, I'm with you! Grandma and Grandpa don't get to give Easter wagon's when all the Easter bunny brings is a little basket with a few small things! Luckily, this year he won't really notice who gave him what.
megash113, I'm so sorry you've started feeling sick. FX this time it is temporary, regular ol' morning sickness and doesn't keep you down too long. I'm sorry you missed everything with your family. ((hugs))
DS and I are up and getting ready to leave the house by 7:45. His t-ball pictures are scheduled for 8:15 on a Saturday morning! His coach said "if your kids are anything like mine, they will be up anyway!" Well, yeah, my kids are up plenty early, but we're never ready to leave the house by 7:45!!
I was planning to go grocery shopping this morning after t-ball pics (Target and Sprouts). Last night, DH found out that he has to go help his mom today with some stuff, so I had to go do the Target half of my grocery shopping last night at 8:45.
Today I need to finish that, then DH will go help his mom, then when we're finally all home together we're coloring Easter eggs. DS is way too excited and keeps asking me about it every couple of minutes.
Sp NMG is coming. DH texted her he wants to go out for bday dinner. These are the bets I'm going to make:
1. She brings the ham, and the sides she mentioned (a bag of potatoes for me to mash, french fries, biscuits and potato salad... umm ok how is that a well rounded meal?)
2. She asks if T is walking yet, then comments on how we should take him to the pedi because all her boys were walking by 6m. Or whatever absurd month.
3. Asks if he says Mama yet. I've already told her he can, I didn't tell her it's not common and it holds no meaning. But she will ask, and shake her head, then get as close to his face and ask him to say Nah-Nah. Sorry lady you're Nanamamawgranma.
3. She asks for more bar crawl shirts.
4. She brings T candy for easter.
4. She tells at least 1 death story.
5. She is upset we didn't tell her we were getting new couches, bc she would have got some too, and it would have been a great deal (just like the car, and she also just purchased 3 lazy boys, and 2 couches. 1 couch she just never picked up).
I'm off to stuff some plastic eggs with yogurt melts and puffs because that will make me feel better.
megash113 I'm sorry you're feelig so sick. that's so disappointing to miss holidays too.
tLex omg LO will point one finger and wag it back and forth while saying nonono. It's great. :/
Lo1 got me up at 5:30a asking for a list of food items. The downside of holding firm on you eat what I make or don't get dinner. I guess I lose no matter what.
Oh and lo2 cried at the thought of dyeing Easter eggs. Maybe I should've waited until after the morning nap? I'll post a crying pic on ig
Happy Saturday ladies! I'm sorry megash113 that you're feeling bad. I hope it's short lived this time. Good luck bluedot. I'll be following to see which predictions come true!
I'm taking DS over to Hershey Park this morning to buy a season pass. They seem to have a lot of little kid rides and a really neat water park so I'm hoping we'll get a lot of use out of it this year.
My dad and stepmom just left and my h is at work all day. It's kind of nice to have a quiet house right now. The power is back on and I heard the rooster earlier, so phew!!
I have zero plans this weekend. Maybe costo? Or maybe do I now need to make a wreath?
bluedot can you go count the bar crawl shirts? And then see if she just steals more?
There's SO many from 2014, bc of our over order... that it would be more annoying to count. lol 2015 I know approximately how many there are, so I'd know.. plus we moved them all because of basement remodel...
Nothing better than pooping with another human being on your lap.
I tried to explain to DH that this was possible, and many moms have done it. He googled it because he didn't believe me. I don't want to know what came up when he searched...
Oh, megash113 . I'm sorry!! That sounds like an absolute crapstorm . I hope you're feeling better, and that Wy doesn't have an EI bluedot - I am once again in awe of the fact that you have not poisoned this woman yet. T&P for you today ... also curious to see what she comes up with today. SMH utpony - whyyyyyy would he even think googling that would be a good idea?!? Lol
I think we might go to a playground for "new walkers" in a nature preserve later today. That's all I've got.
Argh naps. I had planned out a time for a car nap today so LO would nap at the right time since we're meeting suzyqq02 and likethewheels this afternoon. Just drove 10 minutes to the park... asleep in the car seat. He's usually fine with one nap but car naps screw everything up. Guess I put him in the stroller and see what happens??
utpony lolol at DH. What does he think happens when you're alone with a baddler??
megash113 I'm so sorry about your trip. I hope you get some downtime and W feels better too.
Good morning! I was up with DS around 4:30 and then when he went down for his first nap, I napped too. I'm exhausted for no good reason.
Just braved Wegs and now I'm waiting for chipotle to open. Looks like I may be in Petersburg, Canada next week...not sure if we have any F14 mamas there. I'm only there for a day and a half though.
