I'm in full on Easter prep mode. I just finished a pasta salad to bring to my mom and dad's, now I'm working on desserts to bring to both houses tomorrow (my parents' and DH's parents' houses). I am also drinking wine and giving DH directions on what he needs to do while I'm in the kitchen. The list is long.
Where do you guys find time to do this kind of thing? My house looks like a tornado/toddler just went through it. I can't imagine getting my act together to bake desserts and make salads.
I used to do it during nap time. Now DD doesn't nap and likes to help. Usually our house is a disaster. I have just ceased to care...or try to clean very often. If people are coming over it gets cleaned a little, but it's still mostly a disaster zone. I really should start making DD clean up more. Most of it is her mess.
bunny, honestly, DH is super helpful when I am doing stuff like this. He is taking care of the load of laundry that needed to be done, the mess of dishes I am making, and will also straighten up the kitchen table and living room from the day for me, too, when he is done in the kitchen. He really is amazing, and I definitely wouldn't get all of this done if we weren't working together.
If I get a confirmation on Monday that I had a loss, would any of you that have been through it be interested in PMing about things? I really would like to talk through things with someone. I looked around the loss board but think I'd be more comfortable with someone I know.
I just asked him "what's the dealio" in regards to something we are working on in the kitchen. He responded with "I don't know what's 'sup with the whack playstation 'sup"
Dirty lurker today while driving to our families houses, but tenniscourt I had an early loss before C and am available to talk anytime you need. Big ((hugs)) hun.

I'm making buns for tomorrow, but now thanks to mevaroo I think I should have made challah bread too. I've never had it, but it looks yummy in the cook book.
I'm thinking of making scallop potatoes (scalloped?) for tomorrow too. I don't know why, I'm sure there will be a ton of food there.
In my family, who ever hosts does all cooking. But in BF's, everyone brings a dish. I actually prefer how my family does it. Having to do one/two dishes, plus bake something is still a lot of work for each person. I'd prefer taking turns. UO?
Big (((hugs))) tenniscourt. You've been in my thoughts. I hope it's nothing bunny. Fwiw, I have a hard bump on my leg that's been there for like 15 years. It's a calcification of some sort and harmless. Please keep us posted.
