Hugs to all of you with early risers. armfruit I think your MIL is missing the point of Easter. Wow. carissalynp have fun at all the places! utpony not cool, grandma! @joybaby5hi from the I'm-so-fdone-with-this-cold club megash113 migrains fing suck! I'm so sorry it messed up your holiday. tenniscourt good luck with the family bluedot NMG makes me laugh. Sorry. I know she frustrates you. It sounds like she may have the onset of dementia. That's how my grandma started.
avswolf I've mentioned that possibility too, but she has been exactly like this for about 20 years... hoarding, and keeping food in her truck or outside. It's not thay she leaves it there because she forgets, she is just out of room, or doesn't want FIL to know she purchased 15 hams...
DH was out the door at 730 to go four wheeling with my BIL. I would have gone, but this cold won't let go. The littles let me sleep until 8. I had so many cold meds in my system I probably could have slept through this century. Don't really have anything planned today. I might take the littles to the park if I'm feeling ok. I feel really bad for them. I haven't felt up to doing antidote a week so they've been stuck in the house with me.
Solo today again. The kids have more painting projects we've been saving, so that will help pass the time at least. I also have my challah bread to make for tomorrow, and I had bought fabric to make the older two ties... Not sure what I was thinking there. I did my grocery shopping last night at eleven. On the one hand, I'm thankful for 24/7 grocery stores because I can go after the kids and DH are in bed, and not have to drag kids with me today. It's also nice because there aren't that many other shoppers, but they're also stocking the shelves, so it's a bit of a maze to through the aisles, and I didn't get home until 11:45, which sucked. I need a nap.

Hoarding is a sign, and it could start early. My grandma started hoarding about thirty years before she passed. We just didn't know how bad it was until grandpa passed and we had to take care of her. We had dumpsters of trash ......large dumpsters.....just from a 900 sq ft home. We found christmas gifts she never sent, she had ten sets of the same glasses, and newspapers and magazines everywhere.
I'm not an expert, but keep an eye on her. As amusing (and annoying) as the stories are, she may need some help down the road.

Hey ladies! I have been MIA for a bout a month just "pretending" to be normal and trying to deal with recent events-
We took that family road trip and I must say it went a hell of a lot smoother then I thought it would- the kids where eerily well behaved in the car- we got to see a TON of cool stuff and actually came home w 300 from our vacation $$- which I spent today in groceries but still
Lol at the granola bar- maybe he was saving it for later late morning snack- I hide my favorite snacks to!

megash113 I hope you feel better and short you had tho miss Seder. We aren't doing ours until next week because that's the only time we can get everyone together.
We are on our way to the hotel tho get ready for the wedding. Lo is staying with my parents...it's her first overnight!
Random: how much do you guys pay for a haircut? Just a cut and blow dry, no color. I think I'm sticker shocked from living in Georgia where a cut at an Aveda salon is only $35.

If I don't get any colour or anything, I think it's still about $60 for a haircut for me... ETA: that's going to a nice salon, I'm sure I could go somewhere cheaper.

That makes me feel better. I just booked an appt for next weekend at a relatively nice place and its $53.

Did you remember to buy yourself a treat at least?

mamosey, Lol at the granola bar! That made my day. I've found cheerios and crackers in DS' diaper.... they must be saving them for later megash113, @joybaby5, feel better soon ciaomama, if you mean Petersberg, Ontario, it's about 45 mins from where I live
We are recovering from our annual Good Friday, Bad Saturday pub crawl... and what a bad Saturday it is. I was the DD, but DH had his friends come back to our place after the crawl - they stayed until who knows when, DS was up and down all night and now I have a whiny, tired baddler and a whiny and hungover H on my hands. I'm so lucky

Yes, that's what I mean. Sorry! I know that was like saying New York, USA.

Yes. I got myself some bubble bath stuff, and a new hair thing that's supposed to make it easier to throw my hair up sort of fancy. And new face wash, but that's less of a treat, because gross break outs all over my face.

It was my turn to sleep in today now I'm watching swim and lo is having a great time splashing H. Between watching them and reading this morning's randoms I'm sitting here chuckling out loud... Other parents are looking at me like there's something wrong with me.
I woke up at 4:30 because my throat hurt so much. We just went over a case study in micro lectures about Jim Henson. apparently he got a sore throat, and a few days later died from complications of pneumonia, after being in the hospital for only a few hours, from group A strep (which cases strep throat) because he didn't get treatment in time. So now I am convinced I have strep and I am going to die.
I think on Monday if my throat still hurts, I will culture it to see if I have strep. They don't care because it is for educational purposes, lol. I am 98% sure it is a cold because I am also congested.
Yikes! Stories like that make me even more paranoid then I already am! Lol
E fell back asleep in our bed after an hour and a half of party time at 4 am.
We have a bunch of errands to run today, but MH is dragging ass and being annoying.
We also have a 30th Bday at a place like Dave and Busters that I don't want to go to or bring E to, but it's a good friend of MH's and we haven't really seen them since MH was laid off. I'm hoping there's food because otherwise E is not going to last very long.
@thatgolfbitch, I think it's awesome that you can just culture your own sore throat
mevaroo, 11?! I guess I can't complain about doing my grocery shopping at 9 last night, haha!
I desperately need a haircut!
FIL actually asked to go out to the bank and the store with DH and MIL today, which is huge! I'm not sure he's left the house at all other than maybe doctor appointments. The only bummer is that it means DH is going to be gone a lot longer and won't be home to color eggs with us. Surprise solo parenting day. I told him he's taking us out for dinner tonight, because I already know I don't feel like cooking!
Rettaboo we had to interfere when my grandfather died. He let a lot of things slide and didn't tell us how bad it really was. When my SF went back to make his funeral arrangements, that's when we found out. It was a tough decision, but we brought her to Colorado after the funeral and placed her in an assisted living home. We thought she could do the minimum supervision stuff but she was way worse than we knew. I'm ok to talk about my experiences if either of you would like. It was a hard road.
