I guess because I have a speeshul name people think I am all on board with unique names. I think there are enough names that we don't ghave to try to invent any more names.
You didn't pick out your name. If babies picked out out their own names, there would be alot of people names Poopy.
Do you like having a "speeshul name"? If not, maybe you can gently tell her some of the challenges that come with it (like misspelling or mispronunciation?). My sister learned to embrace her less than common name, but I know she still gets upset when relatives misspell it.
I have learned to love my name. I embrace it now.
I have people getting it wrong. When I was younger, I wanted to change my name. I have told everyone this. I am tired of telling my friends the hassle that comes with having three uncommon name. I am the only person according to google with my name in the United States.
My parents accidentally misspelled my name. I feel for you.

My parents misspelled mine on purpose. Jerks. Also, I hate almost all of the nicknames associated with my name, so they won the no nickname battle too.
My nephew has a strange spelling of Keegan plus 3 middle names, his parents are assholes!
Yes! I HATE multiple middle names. I have 2. My cousin has 3, and my other cousin gave all of her kids at least 2, and I think her son has 3 or 4. Also with the first name Keegan, oddly enough.

I have a youneek name too. I used to tell my parents I was going to change my name to Whitney Houston when I was a kid.
For the record, I don't care that she is posting and TTA, my problem with it was her saying CD1 made he emotional, as if she was sad she was not pregnant this cycle. This is what I'm questioning.
And that's totally fair. I'm TTA, so I am in the same shoes she is, and I am always glad to menstruate (I'm irrationally paranoid about getting pregnant during residency). But others were questioning why she even joined, which I think is going too far.
I questioned why she joined. She avoids the baby aisle in the store, and can't bring herself to shop at Babies-R-Us or whatever because it's too upsetting. Yet, she participates in a forum that's predominately composed of people trying to have babies. I'm a supportive and kind person, but frankly, this just does not make sense.
Why do I go away to watch a repeat of the last season of GoT in preparedness of this Sunday's season premiere and miss all the crap that went on here since I left? Couple of Cersei's up in hur.

I have an uncommon/unique name but nothing like this. It is spelled phonetically correct and people still can't get it right. I love my name but it was/is super annoying that people can't get it right.

@iliketurtles, did you delete your avatar in case someone you know IRL saw you being all "holier than thou" on the interwebz?
No, I deleted it because I'm done with this website. Besides, I've made my bed, I'm a big enough person to lie in it. I realize that I'm a bitch and so I will just leave.
Reading through all this shit, and this was the best part so far.
I participate in the WTDS, daily threads and now I can check out the TTA board. Honestly this place has helped take my mind off it, believe it or not.
You just introed in the waiting to do something thread today. I have stayed away from all of the ignorance, no, stupidity that you have been spewing over the last few days but just no; I think I speak for all of the WTDS girls when I say that we definitely do not and will not claim you. You have dug yourself into a hole that you are never going to dig yourself back out of if you keep on the way that you are going. I think it's obvious to everyone here that you're not going to change at this point. Do yourself a favor and just leave.

Lurking and also late to the party, but isn't @rutherily also the one who doesn't think Blacks or Asians are attractive?
Word to the wise new. Lurk a LOT more. Like, a LOT. So you're sad you have to TTA and that makes you not want to see baby items? Maybe think about those who aren't TTA and still are seeing CD1 before posting about how sad you are.
@pineappleoranges do you really leave the milk on the counter?
No
Phew! You never know, though...I watched this episode of WifeSwap once where this family left raw meat in jars on the counter and they would eat it weeks later after it had started to rot. They called it "high meat".

Oh my god! Why wasn't DCF called for those children. That HAS to be some form of child abuse.
