My feed settings must be wonky. I thought the board was basically dead, but this morning I clicked something and found about a week's worth or threads that I hadn't seen before. Change is hard.
Ok. Now getting admitted to hospital. So have to figure out childcare/breastfeeding/pumping logistics in the middle of the night. Normally hospital is supposed to be breastfeeding friendly, so nurslings can stay with moms if an adult visitor is there too. But it's flu season, so visitor policy is modified and I'm just not sure. I've been awake for 23 hours so maybe if I can get some rest it will all seem better later. I'm probably over sharing, but at least I'm getting closer to full member status....
Dh was in the hospital recently for amnesia- I couldn't leave him alone because he didn't know where he was or who anybody was. I couldn't bring Q to the hospital to nurse because of the flu restrictions also. I ended up bringing my pump and as many storage bottles as I had. I used a nursing cover and wore a pumping bra. I also brought a cooler with me. The nurses gave me ice. Anytime a family member would come, I would send them home with the milk I had pumped. At one point, one of my pump parts broke, and the nice nurses on post partum gave me a manual pump. I would check with post partum and see if you can use of their pumps. Because you are admitted, they might be able to help.
Trust me, you dont want to bring the baby to the hospital when there is so much flu going around. Even if your on a floor where there arent flu patients, the germs are around.

Hope you get to feeling better ASAP!
I got admitted twice after R was born (when he was 1 week old and 6 weeks old). The first time we went to postpartum so no biggie. The 2nd time I was able to get a pump from the LC's and a fridge to keep everything. Definitely ask for help! Hopefully they can figure out what's going on and get you out of there ASAP.

Are you on the mobile website? If you are, I figured out the dashboard only notifies you of threads where you posted. I thought the same thing about no new threads but then found them when I clicked top instead of dashboard after reading a thread.
Everyone seems to like tapatalk, but I don't want to create another account this week since I'm not a big app user in general.
We're getting some of our stuff back from the fire restoration company today and the kids are so excited. This company handles fabrics so it's all the kids stuffed animals and blankets. We're not living in our house yet but we're slowly getting parts of home back.
So much to catch up on! Huge hugs to everyone who's going through crap right now!
I just had my year-end review yesterday and my boss basically gave me the go-ahead (without directly saying it) to look around at new opportunites. I'm so happy! I am so bored with the space I'm in and I'm really not a fan of my new boss, so hearing the "we want to prep you for bigger/better opportunities so when one pops up you can go for it" made my day. Now if I can just find a part-time position making what I currently make, that'd be wonderful. (a girl can dream, right?)
I'm only on chapter 5 of the book club book. It's driving me crazy to see that there are new comments in the bookclub thread and I can't click to read any of them. I just want the blue dot to be gone.

Well my excitement over getting the kids toys back was short lived. I've already had to call the company to come back and get some things that weren't restored properly. They don't charge insurance for things unless you're 100% satisfied which is nice but now I have to add all those toys to my list of losses for the insurance company. And hope DD doesn't ask where certain things are.

I'm sorry. I'm sure this has been a really hard process. Hopefully she will be so excited about the stuff that you didn't have return that it will keep her distracted from wanting the other things.
