mightybee Ellison has no nap schedule either. I think I was to neurotic about G as a baby. She got herself into a pattern about a month ago. She naps an hour after she gets up in her swing while I get Gage breakfast. Then she takes her late morning nap in her car seat or crib depending where we are. Then her big afternoon nap she takes in my bed. This is where she sleeps the longest so whatever. If I put her in her crib her afternoon nap ends up being two smaller naps. I don't hold her or anything she is just lying in my bed. Then she takes a small cat nap during dinner with bed at 8. I don't push her into the normal 3 naps.
I don't think you are causing issues. E naps in a crib every time at daycare two days a week. I think with #2 and beyond they almost have to be a little more adaptable so you don't go crazy. Gage could only nap at home with his exact routine for a long time and it was horrible.

Sounds like P has a similar nap schedule, either 3 or 4 naps per day.
The bold is so true. She really just has to go with the flow. Of course the drop off and pick up times for D's preschool are prime nap times, but I just try to stretch her out to keep her awake for the drive or do a quick cat nap. Whatever works!
mightybee I didn't do naps in the crib with elizabeth until about 7 months. I don't think it was for lack of trying it was just really difficult to lay her down without her waking. I've never been good with either kid for getting them to gall asleep on their own. Hanna was easy to train at 11 months and sadly Eliza we still have sleep issues. So I'm probably not one to listen too, lol

Good to know. Sometimes P will fall asleep on her own in the RnP or swing, but if she doesn't, I just wear her since I know that will put her to sleep.
Eek...H is on duty to put her down in the crib for the first time tonight and it does not sound like it's going well.
P is 4 months and for naps I usually wear her or sometimes she falls asleep in the RnP or swing or car. I think I was more anal with D and started doing naps in the crib early on.
When did you start having LO nap in crib? When they are on a more set nap schedule? I don't think I'm creating bad habits yet, right? We just made the guest room into her room and will transition her from the bassinet in our room to the crib in that room soon.
I'm a schedule freak and Nora really gave me a run for my money. She just turned 5 months and is finally on a predictable schedule. However the kicker is she gives me an hour nap tops. Sometimes 30 min >_< I put her in her own room at about 6 weeks because I couldn't sleep I kept looking at her all night long. But i know a lot of D14 girls still haven't transitioned to crib yet so you aren't alone. I'm just a nap in your bed freak.
nesenotes - Its rare that Andrew takes a nap thats longer than 30 mins. I can't get anything done in that amount of time!
We rarely put Andrew in his crib to nap. He will usually fall asleep in the swing or the car seat if we are out. We just let him sleep when he's tired. His own schedule works for us, so we don't feel the need to change anything. Right now he takes about three 30/40 minute naps, and they are usually around the same time each day. We did the same thing with Kayleigh. We never really put her in her room to nap. We are usually busy running around, so she just would nap in the car, etc. Even now she won't nap in her room. She will just fall asleep on the couch. While it may not be the greatest set up, we've had no problems with it at all. DH and I are of the mindset that we don't care where you nap, as long as you take one.

Yeah, we tried putting her to sleep for the night in the crib Sunday night, but gave up after about 45 minutes. She sleeps well in the bassinet and RnP and when she sleeps, I'm happy!
I did get her to take 2 short morning naps in her crib this week, so maybe we'll slowly transition to more crib time this way.
You know what's driving me absolutely crazy? Emery will not leave her sister alone. But to the point she annoys the absolute shit out of her because she's in her face all day (literally centimeters from her face) or taking toys out of her mouth because she's constantly trying to correct the babies behavior even though I tell her eleventy million times a day to leave her alone!
Anyone else dealing with this? How are you handling it? I feel like I spend most of my day telling emery to leave her alone or back up or try to give her another task or don't put that on her or be gentle. Driving me insane!
nesenotes, would giving her her own baby help? That way she could do whatever she wants to the baby instead of Nora. Or maybe explaining that Nora is in a baby quiet time out and needs alone time. I don't want to use the word time out to associated being in trouble but that's the closest I could come up with.
On the plus side, at least she's liking having a little sister.

She doesn't fall for it I've tried. She ditches the doll and then starts force fake feeding Nora fake foods. Nora is never amused by sucking on a fake bottle lol she gets pissed every time. I feel like I'm constantly having to separate them because Nora gets really pissed. At one point she barked at Emery yesterday because she just wanted her away. But then it looks like I'm showing the baby more love. IDK I'm stuck.

I worry that I will have this problem with Dagny. So no advice but Im sure I will be you in 5 months
nesenotes - Kayleigh is the same way She is constantly in Andrew's face. She is always pulling things away from him, reprimand in him for putting his hands in his mouth, talking really loud in his face. She "roars" at him because she knows it makes him cry...plus she is always poking him, putting her hands in his face, etc. No matter how any times we talk to her, pull her away, try to distract her, it really does nongood. I know some of it is attention. And like you I feel like we are then favoring the baby. I'm at a loss too.
We have something a little similar, but the removable bouncer doesn't vibrate or do anything fancy. It's just a seat. I really only use it as a swing. I use get much more use out of the RnP. But, the vibrate option seems like it could be nice, especially for a seat you could move around the house.
Nora hated the swing and bouncer. Didn't care for the vibrate or bounce. She wanted arms only.
A lot of the D14 girls swear by the mamaroo. Especially the drive button I hear. But honestly it's an expensive toy to only use for 4 mo. But then again I had one pissed off baby so if that would have helped I would have thrown all my money at it.
nesenotes I really hope this one doesn't hate it! Robin seriously lived in his swing. The only reason we stopped using it was because he learned how to roll and started sleeping on his stomach, and he used to roll out of the swing in his sleep. Otherwise I swear to god he'd still be in that thing.
And do you like it? Apparently our Motorola monitor has been discontinued and I can no longer get the extra camera for it. Since both kids will have rooms on a separate floor than us, I'd like to continue to have a monitor in Robin's room as well.
sarasansh, I'm looking for a new monitor too. Our Motorola broke too many times so I'm not buying another one of those. The Summer brand gets good reviews but I haven't gotten it yet. I'll see what everyone here says.
And I have another baby that didn't like the swing or bouncer. I thought all babies loved those. I'm hoping this one does so I can put him down for a while.

I just got the newer version of the motorola and have one in each girls room. I know some love dropcam. But i like the talk back feature of mine and that it's not on WiFi after I had my foscam incident. But if you are good at Internet stuff it might be worth checking out
sarasansh Emery loooooved the swing. WWouldnap for over 2 hours in the thing. Nora.... bitch get me out of here! There was no fooling Nora. Stage. 5. Clinger!

We are borrowing a Mamaroneck from a friend. Both boys like it but they prefer the regular swing over it. I don't think I would spend the $ on it.... I really don't like that there aren't upper straps, just lower.
