Have you started packing your hospital bag?

We're all over 30 weeks now (and some are rapidly approaching "early term"!!) so have you started doing anything for your hospital bag?
I know we talked about what to bring, but how about going so far as to actually put it in the bag?

Haven't actually put anything in a bag but I don't think it will take long and I'll do it once I'm on maternity leave. One of my friends gave me a hospital/labor kit as a shower gift so that stuff is already together and my sister made me a maternity gown and matching little outfit for Baby, so I just put those together with my friend's gift.

Heck no! I've thought about it a few times, but am not ready to pack it yet. I will probably not do that until I hit sometime around the 37 week mark. Then that also means I need to pack DS's bag, since he'll go to my parents for probably 5-6 days once I deliver, and that just makes my head spin, trying to think about packing a week long bag for him... So I'm delaying the inevitable as long as I can!

No and I'm a lot less concerned about it this time overall. I really don't need much and if I do need something, I have enough family members close by that can stop by our house and pick it up for me.

No. We haven't really done anything to prep for baby, like at all. this weekend marks the 7th of the last 9 that I've been OOT.

Hospital bag will be last on the list of things to do.

I keep meaning to grab the bag I want to use from the basement and start tossing some things in, but it hasn't happened yet. There's really only a couple of things I can put in right now anyway, so I'm not in a huge hurry, but I would like to get it started. Maybe I'll go find that bag now...

I didn't have one packed when I went to the hospital with DS. Therefore, I at least have some stuff in the diaper bag for baby, and my prenatal record in the bag I will eventually be packing for myself so I don't lose it.

Nope, but we're travelling in a few weeks and I'll likely use the same bag, so there's no point yet. I did start a (ridiculously long) document about care and feeding of DD. If my mom is around, it'll all be fine, but she's out of town for weeks 36 and 37, so if the in laws come to take care if DD at our house, they'll need some instructions for meals, packing lunch for daycare, etc.

We just got our birth center list last night, so DH and I will complete the bag soon. If not this weekend, then no later than 05/09.

I'm so not "just tossing in a few last minute pieces" while in labor again. Newp.

Probably won't pack it until closer to 37 weeks or maybe just wait until I go into labor. Not in any rush to get to the hospital until my contractions are closer together. It is only a 10 minute drive to the hospital. I don't think it will take that long to pack my bag. Plus a lot of the stuff that I will pack I use on the daily so I would still have to add it to the bag the day of.

I have a few things in the corner of the nursery that will go in my bag. I am using a suitcase from my luggage set and I needed it this past weekend and coming weekend because we are visiting family, so I can't actually "pack" it yet.

My sister made me "hospital survival kit" for my shower gift - chapstick, hairties, bobby pins, robe, flip flops, Cliff bars, chocolate, gum - so that is there. Plus I bought travel size shampoo/cond, toothpaste, a 2-pack toothbrush, lotion that are there, too.

As for clothes, I have a list of things I need and will start piling those together after this weekend. Most of them I will wear between now and labor... so I may just make a mental note of it all, too. 

I'm so not the type of girl to just "throw things in at the last minute". DH is surprised it isn't already packed at this point...

I probably need to think about this more. I have some lists, but nothing actually packed yet. Waiting to see what I get at my shower this weekend so I can go buy whatever else we need.

Not yet, I want to pick up some new nursing tanks, and wait closer to 37 weeks to do that. So once I have those I'll toss stuff in a bag. A lot of the stuff I don't want to pack early anyway because I'm still using it now!

Not yet. We have family that lives 2 minutes from our house so if I forget anything they can get it. Being almost 32 even if she was born now she would be in the NICU so really the only person I'm worried about packing for is DD but my parents have all the basics at their house for her so even if I totally forget half the stuff she needs she'll be fine. Plus I'm hoping to make it to my C-Section date so I'll probably pack the night before.

There is an empty carry on size bag on the floor of the bedroom that was never put away after my last work trip, a month ago. Does that count for anything?

Nope. Since most items are last minute anyway. (Phone charger, PJs, toothbrush, etc). I didn't use most of what I packed last time so seems silly to worry about it this time.

I should also note that last time, my room was like a sauna... in December. And with a c-section, pants were a no-go. I had ONE short-sleeved maternity dress and a 3 day stay. My clothes stank. Which is why I already have cool clean clothes that should work over a c-section packed.  (Edit: I wore the dress for roughly two days, not the whole stay.)

I've started to gather my mini toiletries that I take on short trips and putting them all together in a little bag. ive got all of my nursing tanks washed and soft pants washed. I'll probably still wear my soft pants up until I need to pack them.

For the baby, I have the little outfits washed and now all I have to do is pack them up. Same with some little blankets.

I do need to go and grab some nipple cream and breast pads for just in case.

Everything else is last minute. I don't need to be at the hospital until 9:30am for my c/s and will pack up the remained of items then.

I'm 34 weeks today but have not packed a thing. Last time, the bag was packed and in the trunk of my car at 24 weeks. In retrospect, I find that hilarious.

A few weeks back I bought travel sized toiletries for DH and me, so that it's in a bag near the door, along with nipple cream and pads. I plan to add her take home outfit and a nightgown and yoga pant/nursing tank combo with slippers for me soon. I have a list on top of the bag that names the items, such as phones, chargers, IPad, hair dryer, etc. that need to be added before walking out the door. Like someone said earlier, I'm anal about packing and planning. This gives me a little control in an uncontrollable situation. I also have a note reminding us to feed the cat before leaving hahaha.

I thought about it earlier today. I have pulled a few outfits for DD to wear home and almost threw them in a bag today.

I keep seeing things and setting them on top of the designated hospital bag so I can decide what all really needs to go in there once I get a little closer to due day. In reality, it's my way of avoiding putting away some clean laundry/organizing some baby stuff hehe. I also can't decide what I need/what's expendable right now and figure a little pressure (e.g. time or maybe some contractions lol) will help me cull and streamline stuff. Not worried about it just yet - I'll start that once I hit early term territory.

All I remember from last time is to make sure you have phone chargers. And I wore the hospital gowns the whole time I was there. I guess I need to look at a list, but I do remember I didn't use half of what other consider necessities.

This reminds me that I've needed an extra excuse to order a replacement for DH's charger. How he keeps losing those suckers, I'll never know, but I'm getting tired of sharing one stoopid charger with him.

I have a hospital bag that is always packed and ready to go because of my stomach issues, so I've just got to get a couple baby-specific things to add to it and I'm done! I do need to get a couple of nightgowns though, because I don't have any and I've heard that's all you want to wear after a c-section. Any c-section moms have experience with what works well and what doesn't as far as PJs?

I had some maternity yoga pants with a 'long' waistband that you could fold over. I wore those with the waist unfolded and up over my post partum belly, if that makes sense. They were snug enough through the hips and but to stay up but loose enough to not bother the incision. But I think I didn't wear them until day 3. I wore the hospital gown until then.
