I did so much yard work this weekend that I can barely move today! But it looks great. Apparently the thought of potentially becoming moms in a week has pushed us both to get some shit taken care of.
I went to see The Avengers this weekend and saw the trailer for the new Star Wars movie. I am pretty meh about Star Wars, but H is all about it. I preferred the Family Guy version better.

The inspection on the townhome came back with only minor issues and this weekend the sellers agreed to take care of basically everything, save one minor issue.
So, it looks like we will be able to close on May 28!! Glad the search is over and we are on our way to being homeowners!
Congratulations! Horray for agreeable sellers. Hope closing goes smoothly for both sides!
I feel your pain. I do it way too often and always regret it when I see the number.
Yeah, the number makes me kind of miserable. I just don't understand- I'm running 15 miles per week, and doing yoga and pilates. And I'm gaining weight. My clothes have told me that, I don't know why I needed confirmation from that devil.
I had every intention of staying "on track" this weekend. And that pretty much blew up in my face on Friday evening and continued through the weekend. Now I spend the rest of the week playing catch up. It's a vicious cycle! (for me, at least)
I'm cramping my ass off and I want to eat everything...yet today is the first day of my diet/exercise program. I would shank someone for some Timbits right now.

That really sucks especially with all the workouts you've been doing. Life is not fair because MH will eat all the junk food and not gain a single pound but if I do it's bad news. I know I need to change my diet but it's so hard.

I didn't watch them until college. My roommate's boyfriend was a big fan and showed them to us. My roommate intentionally stalled breaking up with him until we were done watching them all. I told her that was sort of cruddy of her, we could have just rented them... /nostalgic memory

That can be so frustrating! Are you gaining muscle? Are you taking measurements? Sometimes weight is not a good indicator - especially since you can fluctuate so much throughout the day. (Because, poop.) If you are going to weigh yourself, do it on the same day, at the same time, like every Friday morning before your shower. If weighing yourself is not giving you the positive feedback you need for all your amazing work, ditch it.
It came out awesome!! Here's a pic of my dog "enjoying" it. LOL
*snip*
LOL glad your dog is enjoying it! Mine are anxious awaiting being able to enjoy theirs.
MH wants me to call them today. When we paid the deposit (it will be two weeks this Wednesday) they said they could start in two weeks. We haven't heard from them since. I don't really want to BUG them. But I thought maybe I could call them and be all "dude we have the permits, when are ya starting?" without being too annoying...
We did yardwork all weekend too! It was a gorgeous weekend for us. We dug up a spot for our beehive (the bees themselves should be here soon) we assembled our new patio set, we dug and made a firepit! We really enjoyed our coffee on the balcony yesterday morning, it was lovely. And my parents came by in the afternoon to visit.

Yeah - I think you can totally call them and ask when they are starting! Especially if you've already paid the deposit. Just play it off like you need to figure out your schedule. Our yard is tiny and it took them 3 full days to complete (it was only 2 guys) and it was nice that either DH or I was there the entire time because they occasionally had questions for us.
summerdonna, I agree with the above posters about gaining/plateauing before seeing actual weight loss. I also think that for me, eating with MH seriously effs with my idea of portions. We do a lot of our workouts together, so it's hard to remember that he can eat several thousand calories a day and not gain weight (he's always trying to gain muscle), while I realllly have to watch my calorie intake along with doing tough workouts. SO UNFAIRRRRRR. We just ate vegan for a week, though, and I lost a couple of really stubborn pounds. It made me feel like I'm making progress and it also helped me "reset" my portion sizes and food cravings, so maybe give something like that a try? Sometimes doing the same workouts or eating the same foods for long periods of time can allow your body to hang on to fat.
