DH has super high blood pressure and possibly a kidney stone as well. So he needs to get checked out. We are hoping they don't admit him but there's a large possibility they will
***trigger warning*** Speaking of full moon one of my friends is due next week and I have been telling her to be prepared for the full moon. I'm officially that friend.
My brother is a full moon baby. He had four classmates with the same birthday. Also my brother was born while my dad was flying back from London. He was a week early and until the day my mom went into labor there was indication she was would go early.
This explains a lot, based on what you've said about him.
Did you do them yourself or did you get them done at the salon? The last time I had mine done at a salon a few years ago, I went back to have the polish removed for me so that I wouldn't ruin my nails. They didn't charge me extra since I had them done there initially.
I got them done at the salon. It was the second one in a row. The last time they took them off for me but I didn't want to wait and I couldn't figure out the logistics of getting back there anytime soon. I go to a salon that's about half an hour away but it's so worth it.
Make sure you take your time removing them. I peeled mine off and ruined my nails for months.

Eeks. I'm sorry to hear he's not feeling well. Sending good vibes your way!

No, this is my youngest brother, the post-vasectomy baby. He was a surprise from start to finish.

Too late. My patience lasted about an hour but after that I was done.

She's had the car seat in her car and the bags packed since they said "dilation" to her. I'm happy for her but glad she will be on maternity leave until August.
And why do people need to tell everyone how far they are dilated? Thanks but no thanks. I don't need that visual.

Because everyone needs to know. I wonder how they would feel if you told them how heavy your flow was everyday of our period. I bet that would be fun.
I like how everyone is limiting their caffeine intake while TTC and I'm over here ashamed of how many big gulps I've gotten in the last week. #44ozDietDrPepper

Last summer I had a shellac manicure done. Apparently its similar to the gel, but less damaging? In any case, it basically just lifted and peeled off after a couple of weeks.

I'm pretty sure I've gotten a big gulp + drank coffee every day since we got back from Vegas. I have all these $1's left from tip money and I'm look "ooh polar pop".
I only feel guilty when I carry a Styrofoam cup into the plastic factory and get the side eye. I tried doing the limited caffeine when we started TTC but now I'm like..
My cousin just sent me this link. www.conceptionretreat.com She said she was going to pretend she was TTCing just so she could go.
BTW, she's being funny. She experienced IF issues and knows i'm TTCing, so she always sends me funny stuff like this. I told her we could go together, but she would have to pay for both of us.

I have done vegan for a 10 days before as well. This is harder IMO. A vegan diet does not exclude wheat/oats/sugar/beans like the Whole 30 does.
I need the detox so badly though. I had reached the weight I was when I was full term pregnant! My blood work came back "normal" but I was at the highest limit of normal for HA1C which means I was teetering on the line of diabetes. Not to mention this may be contributing to my irregular cycles.
Anywho.. it is hard, but it is needed and I am dedicated. I can't take my measurements or weigh myself till the end, but I feel less puffy in general so far. I will keep you all updated!
I guess what I don't understand about Whole 30 and Paleo is why beans, lentils, and whole (even non-wheat) grains are foods to avoid. I guess it's to eliminate carbs to the point of putting the body in ketosis? It just seems like a looooot of meat because you can't get calories from carbohydrates, even high-fiber, low-glycemic ones. It totally makes sense to me to eat whole, unprocessed foods and no sugar, but the legumes and grains thing I don't get. I'm hesitant to eat more meat and fewer carbs since organic meat is so expensive and raising meat is so hard on the environment. Tl;dr I'd be interested in hearing an update from you and others who have tried it!
Most of what I read refers to this diet as a reset. So it is not meant to be forever, just something you use to detox from all the sugar cravings. You can have potatoes and fruit, so you do get some carbs and you are suppose to eat mostly veggies and fruit with regular portion of meat.

Ah ok. I read about it on some website that referred to Whole30 as "extreme Paleo" or "squeaky-clean Paleo," so I didn't know most people did it as a reset and went back to other foods. It seems like a good short-term challenge! I think changing up your diet, like your workout, is probably really healthy and makes you discover new recipes and tastes.
But still, I would like to understand why beans and legumes would be on a no-no list for any diet, since they are full of protein and nutrients, or why dairy would be bad for anyone who's not lactose intolerant, especially in a diet like Whole30, which allows you to eat animal protein in the form of meat and eggs. So far all I can find on the Whole 30 site is reference to beans having "toxins" and all of the banned items being "inflammatory" and "psychologically unhealthy," which doesn't seem universally applicable...
Anyway, if it works, it works, which is why I'm interested in hearing from anyone and everyone who's tried it!
