My jewelry and my "something blue" - a handkerchief that my grandmother sent home to my great grandparents when my grandfather was stationed in Germany. We wrapped it around the stems of my bouquet. It was great to have a piece of them with me since they couldn't be there.

What did your dress look like? A mix between an A-line and trumpet style. It was "diamond white" in color with a criss cross beige accent in the middle and buttons all the way down the train in the back (my favorite part)


What were your wedding colors? White/Ivory, Sage green, dark brown and beige accents

Favorite part of your wedding day? Having all our friends and family there to celebrate with us. Our reception was so much fun!

Any catastrophes or surprises on your wedding day? A few little things. The tux shop gave the best man a white vest and tie instead of a groomsman vest and tie. When they went back to the shop to switch it, the shop didn't have any more of the correct color so they just picked another brown vest and tie that were close. I didn't notice and people only pointed it out to me later because they didn't want me to freak out. Also, the place I picked to do my hair was terrible. I kept telling them how my hair was heavy and needed extra bobby pins, and I guess they didn't believe me... I was so unhappy with my hair, and it basically fell out before the ceremony was even over. That's the one thing I would change about the day!

Our cake was AMAZING. We decided to pick somewhat unique flavors, and my mom was worried that no one would like it. We had alternating layers of chocolate cake and banana cake with hazelnut cream filling. It was SOOOO good. Many people told us that it was the best tasting wedding cake they had ever had.

This was such a fun picture of our huge wedding party. We all lined up on this ledge and jumped at the same time!


I wish we had gotten some better pics of just DH and me. Most of the ones from the professional photographer are from weird angles or cheesy or taken way late in the day when my hair and makeup were messed up. Here's one of the few that I like. (eeek! A real face pic! No skin suiting please! I'll DD this later)

I have a few pictures from my ceremony where it looks like I was tearing up. I was actually trying to hide that I was laughing at my stepmom because she couldn't get the lighter to work when they were lighting the unity candle.

I have the same answer for both - we got married during a tropical storm I was soooo upset watching the weather but it ended up being perfect. PERFECT. I was still warm and we lucked out that we missed the wind part of the storm. We had this light wonderful rain all day, but the sky was still bright. I seriously wouldn't have changed it.

Really long...Like 4 years, yeah we're slow

What did your dress look like?
It was antique gold with a lot of beading. Strapless sweetheart neckline. It was the first dress I tried on right after we got engaged when it was still there 4 years later on sale I bought the sample then and there and didn't think twice.

What were your wedding colors?
We got married in the fall so we played off all of those colors but no set color scheme.

Favorite part of your wedding day?
My brother was able to make, which was the best thing ever I hadn't seen him in years it actually made me cry when he showed up.

Any catastrophes or surprises on your wedding day?
We tried to skype the wedding for some out of town guest but it stopped not long after I made it to the alter. My friend tried to call my cell to let the person who had my phone know. One of the Groomsmen had it, and it was on full volume. That right my cell went off at the alter just moments into the wedding. I thought it was funny. I don't think most of our guest did.
Also I pictures where pretty much a train wreck. we had DH's uncle do them since he used to do wedding photography we thought it would be a good alternative to paying for one. Even if the poses where outdated he did it back in the 80's I think. Wrong, they just plain sucked. I cried when I saw them and not in a good way.

My shoes where fucking bad ass. I had light up shoes and they kicked ass.

BurritosAtEveryMeal DH knew I liked penguins. We saw a penguin necklace with white and black cubic zirconia looking stuff on it and I told him I'd love to have that necklace. He surprised me with it on our wedding day. I'll have to try and take a pic.

Favorite part of your wedding day? The best part was during the ceremony, when we had a quiet moment together and prayed together. I had held it together up til that point, but nope. As soon as he started crying, I was a goner.

OH I thought of another. Since we didn't see each other before, we exchanged gifts and letters we had written each other, around a corner so we could hold hands without seeing each other. Sweetest letter he had ever written me. I cried then too.

Any catastrophes or surprises on your wedding day?
My nephew and nieces threw up on the way to the wedding, in the car. They were our ring bearer and flower girl. My sister in law shows up BAWLING because she feels so bad, and I was totes chill by that point. I told her I didn't care if we had no ring bearer. Then my niece (who hadn't thrown up yet but was saying she was going to) sat on my MIL in her dress. My SIL freaked that my MIL was going to get barf on her, but she was good.

Turns out the kids all had Hand Foot and Mouth. All 5 of them. Three of them toughed it out through the wedding and walked down the aisle - but the next day they were alllllll sick. It was bad.

Anything else?
We had an outdoor wedding on a farm, and there was lots of personal touches with my dad's side of the family. He used jars from his grandparents, and our card box was a tree trunk he had hollowed out. His dad died when he was in college (I never met him), and left my dad some land. That's all my dad has left of his dad, so he never sold it. He traveled 1000 miles to that piece of land, got a tree trunk from there, hollowed it out, and used it for our card box. I still have it, and it is something I will always treasure to remember my granddad.

What did your dress look like? Diamond white, ruching with off the shoulder straps and a corset back. I loved it.

Favourite part of your wedding day? I think my favorite part was right after the ceremony, finally being able to relax for a bit and eat some snacks and take pictures with family.

- Princess cut solitaire, wedding band is a side ways cross covered in small diamonds.

Favorite part of your wedding day?
-Honestly marrying my best friend! We looked forward to this day for so long and it was finally here and I was just so happy and excited I really also enjoyed our cake cutting... DH thought he was going to get me but I got him good...

- The only time I was stressed was when we were getting ready to walk out and someone asked if I had DH's ring, but I left it at home! I was freaking out haha My wedding planner/girlfriend ran back to my house to get it since we lived like 5 minutes away

-We had the best wedding after party back at the hotel... People still bring it up to this day, we had wine left over from the wedding and on the shuttle bus we were popping bottles of wine and I got a huge red wine stain down the front of my dress lol! Good memories. We then all partied until 4am with all our friends My mom picked us up the next morning at 7am to take us to the airport for our honeymoon. We didn't consummate our marriage until we were in West Palm Beach FL.

What does your ring look like? It's a hamdmade set by a local jewler. It's yellow gold with white gold swirls on the top that hold up 5 diamonds on both my engagement ( the middle dimiand on this one sits up higher and is a bit bigger than the others) and wedding bands.

What did your dress look like? It was a white A line halter with a lilac belted piece that went down into the train with lace appliques.

What were your wedding colours? Lilac, mint, and silver.

Favourite part of your wedding day? After everything was over and we went to our honeymoom suite, my husband and I stuck our feet into a hot tub because they were killing us, and drank champaign while we talked about the day for almost 2 hours.


Any catastrophes or surprises on your wedding day? We left my hairpieces at home, so my mom ran back, but that wasn't a catastrophic event. Everything went really smoothly because we planned this shit out of it.


And add anything else you feel the need to share with us here: we had a lovely wedding. We had a friend's dad officiate.

For the reception, we wanted a party. And we got one. Our bar ran out of beer and had to go steal bottles from another part of the country club. Our coordinator was impressed. We had a great time and our friends still talk about how much fun they had at the reception.

Fall is very popular here, but it fit most with what we wanted style wise. Plus I was trying to work around my school schedule.
