So I thought we should have a Mom confession thread. We could learn from each other possibly ; ) tricks of the trade even! Ha
To start: I sometimes pretend I have to poop and secretly just go watch netflix in the bathroom, all by myself with no Momma Momma Momma I'm hungry, I want milk...

My kid is still gagging himself to the point of puking whenever he tries to eat real food and not baby pureed food. Yesterday morning while I was trying to get out the door for work and to drop the boys at daycare, I sat him in his high chair and gave him some puffs to entertain him momentarily. I got everything ready, got all the crap loaded in the car and was about to pick him up to put him in his car seat when he gagged on the LAST puff and barfed everywhere. I changed his clothes but I left the puke there. It was all over his high chair and the floor. DH got home before me yesterday so he had to clean it up.
Sorry. I gotta go to work and I was going to be late. I've had to do daycare drop off and pick up all week, as well as all morning and nighttime routines b/c DH started his baseball season this week. He actually got home early yesterday so he was welcomed with puke.
babybarlow2014 - We have same issue with paci's but I think the cat is hiding them when we aren't looking. I just had to get more because she's using them more for teething because she likes to chew them. I swear it's the cat because I can take her upstairs to change her diaper and the paci I know was there is gone.
I nurse my DS to sleep at bedtime. I know it is a big "no-no" but he puts himself back to sleep if he wakes up and has been STTN since 12 weeks (with the occasional wake up when teething, sick, etc). If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Also, I really love this calm, quiet time with him. It's one of my favorite parts of the day - when I get to snuggle with my baby without him kicking and flailing about.

Same. He goes to sleep without me at daycare and will let his daddy put him down to sleep too so I see no issue. He's been sleeping through the night well and I even see him on the monitor sometimes wake up, move around, and go back to sleep. If he falls asleep nursing, he always wakes up when I put him in the crib since he sleeps on his side or belly so he's never passed out fully.
DS takes his afternoon naps on me. If I need to get something done, I do it when he's awake. But I'm tired of hearing my Mom and everyone else complain that it's not healthy. 1-He STTN in his crib 2-He may be my only kid, and have never heard a parent say "I wish I had less time to hold them when they were a baby". Shut the fuck up, and let me have this!!!
It is the worst week for daytime sleep that we've ever had.. and I'm leaving town until Sunday night. Wooooo! I haven't had an uninterrupted sleep in almost a year and a half, between pregnancy pee and baby wakes. I don't care if I'm sleeping on a couch for the next 2 nights, this is amaaaazing !
Also, last night ds made a noise during his wake time and I immediately just turned the sound off on the monitor and dropped it on the floor. I'm not even sure why he woke up but I figured dh would poke me if he started yelling. earplugs.
1. We still put DS in his woombie to nap even though he's not supposed to have his arms swaddled anymore. He takes longer naps this way and we watch him on the monitor. We don't do this before bed.
2. We give DS a bottle before bed. He can put himself to sleep and sleeps 12 hours so I'm not worried about it
3. We use the mesh breathable crib bumpers. DS was getting distracted playing with the crib rails and would stick his arm through, couldn't get it out and scream. Everyone is sleeping much better.
4. DS probably watches too much Baby Einstein. But he loves it and it let's me get stuff done.

Flame away...
I use real bumpers; she loves to bump into the rails, at least this way I feel her head is somewhat protected. I figure she's nine months, rolls, crawls, pulls up to stands, cruises, cruises in her sleep sack. Bumpers can't be the end of the world.

Bumpers, rail guards, a blanket (for naps, sleep sack at night), and two little stuffed animals... I'm pass the point of concern. DS is two months away from crawling, so it can't be that big a deal anymore.
We have blankets and breathable bumpers. He is able to untie the bumpers and move them- I think he's fine.
DS tries to untie the bumpers too! He rolls all around and sleeps face down on the mattress sometimes so it doesn't worry me. Him getting his arm stuck and hurting himself worried me more.
DH has been gone 11 days and I have only taken 4 quick, no wet hair showers in that time. I'm taking an excessively long one as soon as he gets home this afternoon.
I still track most of DDs diapers, feedings, & sleep on an app on my phone. It's become an obsession and I need to stop. I've at least stopped adding in the info that daycare sends home on her little paper but it's totally unnecessary at all at this point & I fully realize that. I need an intervention

scout251 I finally stopped doing it last week. It was an obsession for me too and was getting rediculous. I would still push play when she started eating and pause it every time she got distracted (which is a lot lately). The only problem was remembering what side I left off of when feeding. It's been liberating not using it. Seriousy! I just quit cold turkey. Haha

I still keep track. Especially since his weight loss episode. And now his slow gain. Sleep I don't track because...bwahaha..what the hell is it?
omg. I had to stop tracking around 3 months when DH told me I was a control freak now i just keep it all in my brain.. what's left of it anyway.
also, we have a big giant furry fluffy blanket in the crib + another smaller lovey type blanket for him to snuggle. it gets cold as hell and he is super into touching soft stuff so i really don't care. he's fine. he can stand up if he gets sick of it haha.
I think I tracked until his 1 month check up. I'm supposed to keep track of his diapers right now because of tummy probs but I haven't been, just trying to keep track in my brain.
