-6.5 and I feel like they keep getting worse. H has awesome eyes, so I pray my kids inherit that, but I think someone told me bad vision is more dominant or something
My final father's day present to H is that I'm sleeping on the couch tonight. One day well-loved in a house where a king sized bed can fit in the master bedroom. (our bedroom isn't small, it's just awkwardly shaped)
cl8badb Just wanted to give you hugs and wish you luck whatever you decide to do. When I read your post, and this will sound weird, but in my head I read it at a frantic pace. Your anxiety really came across for me, so I hope you can find a solution.
workinit Hugs. I hope your H figures out what he wants. Mixed messages are so not cool.

I don't normally watch golf, but the last hour of that us open was very exciting to watch.
I cheered when Dustin missed. I don't like him or his fiancee
DH really doesn't like Spieth for some reason, so he was upset Johnson missed. ETA: DH was all "he acts all rich." Dude, he's a 21 year old pro golfer. Did you expect him to be poor?
And DH's plans today were cancelled so I was able to hang with a friend for a few hours and grab lunch with her without DS. Was originally going to take him
Ugh. What the hell am I supposed to do when my sassy two year old replies, "yes" when I ask her if she needs a time out as a result of her actions? Follow through on a time out that she'll just laugh through or what?

I stopped asking for this exact reason. It is very simply, "One more time and you will be in time out" or something to that effect depending on the situation. No questions. They get me in trouble

I put her in it anyways. Then she realizes I'm serious and she gets upset and cries her way through it.

B has been doing well with the time outs. We don't do any time outs for tantrums, just make sure he's in a safe place and ignore it. He's stopped with the biting. Pedi recommended no warnings for biting or hitting, straight to time out so he doesn't learn he gets one free pass. We give a warning for other things. I'm so grateful you guys gave me advice in this area, it made a world of difference and helped MH and I get on the same page.

If J is having fun in time out ive actually let him stay there until its not fun anymore. I explain to him why he is there and he has to stay for a few minutes. ETA a few minutes after its not fun. It usually involves tears and him saying trying to get out of it by saying "sorry mommy".
I want to get it done. My eyes have finally stopped getting worse. Now just need to save up for it
Lasik changed my life! I consider it one of the greatest gifts DH has ever given me. I am grateful every day! (We were able to get a pretty hefty military discount when we lived in California)
